We have been using Mole Trappers PDX to help us get rid of Moles, Mice/Rats and Voles in our property in Vancouver. The property is adjacent to an empty lot on one side and a set of home construction site on the other... a fertile ground for critters activities. In our case, Joel was able to survey the yard, discuss with us and provide feedback on the services needed. Communication with the company is top notch, as we get notified about service dates a couple of days before hand (and also if there is going to be a delay/change in service dates). This company is excellent, and we will use them again if necessary. They came right out, Austin set traps throughout our backyard, and he caught the mole on his first attempt. I spent hundreds of dollars trying to do this myself. I bought gopher gassers, a trap, I even resorted to an old-fashioned pitchfork. The company charged $238 for a three month service. I spent all day on Saturday filling holes and low spots in our yard. Between the dirt, the grass seed and everything else that I bought to try and deal with this myself, I could have paid for the three month service 1.5 times. I don't think moles can hide from Austin. Voles left, and moles returned for summer break!! I tried to spend a couple weeks chasing them with a lower-impact trap. I gave up and called these guys back out, labeling and tracking mounds, I got up to P (started from A).. All in the area of like 1k sq ft lawn.. We're up to 3 total moles caught by them, 2 this week, one last weeks check. It's been 3 weeks since first traps & solid trap ratio. After unsuccessfully trying to trap what I thought was a vole digging tunnels through my back yard and wreaking havoc on my plants, I reached out to Mole Trappers PDX. Based on the photos I sent to Joel, he was pretty certain it was a mole. I decided to hire Mole Trappers PDX, and they were so awesome to accommodate me into their schedule right away the next business day as I was pretty stressed out about losing plants, and I was going to be away on vacation pretty soon. Over the next several days, I had to keep tamping down the tunnels that were right at my plants multiple times a day as they were making my plants wilt really badly in the heat due to their roots being exposed. The technicians said that they can sense my presence and that they're often caught when they're able to let their guard down. Finally, when I was out of town on my vacation, unable to tamp down the tunnels and protect my dear plants, Joel texted me to tell me they had caught a huge mole! He even tamped down the tunnels to help save my plants. It did take just over a week to catch, so you have to be patient and trust their process. Unfortunately for me, I lost a pricey recently planted conifer and a few gladiolus. But unfortunately for the mole, it lost its life. So thankful I hired Mole Trappers PDX! read more

Just had Mole Trappers (Joel) back to deal with a new busy body in our front yard. Earlier this summer, they did a great job resolving a mole that was tearing up our backyard. It took a few tries, but Mole Trappers were persistent - came back weekly and followed through on their promised service. The technician just showed up as scheduled and reset or moved the traps. And when he was all done, packed the holes up and smoothed off the dirt hills. And I'd like to make special mention of the front end staff managing the appointments and calls. Update 10/14: they had Traps here for a few weeks and said no more activity. Steve said he would return if I see anything. Will check later today. Revising rating up. Will go to 5 if all clear. Definitely a 5 for genuine, regular guy, honest approach. Update-9/24: finally they got back to me and this week set more traps and promised they will get them all. Will revise rating hug when (if) they come through. I like their approach other than this glitch thought they were going to be great. Looking forward to finishing up. Sorry to report that Mole Trappers PDX is not as great as some would suggest. For me the only thing that has moved quickly and successfully was billing - they first came out and set traps in flower beds - not in back yard where there were 10+ mounds 2 weeks go by and they moved traps - then a few more weeks and then they pulled traps saying "all done" - same day I find more mounds and report to MTPDX that they didn't get them all - and now it has. Been 3+ weeks of "sorry we will be out soon" over and over. But no visit and this week no response. So don't count on them getting all and don't count on 2 month follow ups. Stephen fixed our mole problem, enough said. His prices are the best in the area--I did my homework. He came by our house within a day or so of submitting our request. We were at work when he came by which was nice to not have to take off work to meet with him. After he set up traps he sent us a quick update that his traps were set and what to expect. He came by to pick up the traps a couple weeks later, made sure he caught the moles and walked around our property with us, answering all of our ridiculous questions. Only then did he charge us. The moles came back a couple weeks later and he came back out quickly without hesitation and without charging extra. The second time around seemed to do the trick. He is as professional as it gets. Stephan and Joel are super professional, prompt, competent, kind, and exceptional mole trappers. Last year Stephan trapped at least 8 moles in our 3/4 acre property.
