This place is really cute and hipsterish but they don't know how to take orders or it seems that they are not able to make lattes correctly. Problem: My SO asked for a Green tea latte and they gave him a cup with a green tea bag filled with water and no milk. They basically gave him green tea. But it just tasted like boiled water with a hint of milk. Do they not know what lattes consist of? They could have simply told him that they didn't know how to make green tea lattes to spare us the whopping $3-4 payed for the "latte", instead of lying and saying that they could make it. Environment: The place does have a really nice artsy feel, and it's nice that you can see the front of the mission inn from the large window. The ambiance of the store is really nice because you get a great view for the Festival of Lights and the shop feels cozy. Overall: This place is a joke! They lack customer service and they are not honest. It doesn't matter if it's a nice store the drinks and the workers are crap. People are probably going to want to come here to feel very hip and cool, if so you will achieve that vibe by coming here, but there are better local coffee shops that should be supported, like Auggies, Back to the Grind, etc. **It also seems like some of the recent reviews for this cafe are very biased. My boyfriend and I came in tonight for a late night coffee sesh and I am soooooo happy we did. I had a peanut butter iced mocha latte with an add shot and my boyfriend had a passion iced tea and raspberry sweetener. I loved my coffee it's one of the best I've had in awhile ... we also split a peanut butter Nutella croissant which I am very sad we had to share because it was soooooo good. Cute clean atmosphere. I really enjoy the açai bowls here! I order them to-go. They come in a 16 oz cup with granola, about half a banana, some strawberries, and honey drizzled on top. The honey does add sweetness, but I personally like how it tastes (plus it's only drizzled on top; the whole thing isn't soaking in honey). It's a good amount for the $6.95 price tag. Their ginger peach tea is also very good! It's not too sweet like peach usually is, which I like. I have tried it iced, but I am sure it is just as good hot. The place itself has a very cool atmosphere, especially if there aren't too many people sitting inside. It is located directly across from the Mission Inn, and so has a pretty view from out the large windows. The cherry on top is the free WiFi! read more

I'm new to the area and was introduced to this place by a close friend. I was completely sold when I found out they have affogatos! If you haven't already tried, an affogato has shots of espresso and vanilla ice cream! So kind of like a root beer float but instead of root beer, it's espresso. So good! I was introduced to affogatos at Dripp. I believe it's about $5 at Dripp and $3 something here and is very comparable to Dripp but almost double the portion. I also had the Matcha Latte and really like that too. It had a nice Matcha flavor and was not too sweet. They also have an açaí bowl, which I want to try the next time I'm there. I got an iced coffee. Not sure what kind of coffee they use here (I asked the barista but she said it too fast so didn't catch the name) but I wasn't much of a fan of their iced coffee. A bit too dark for my liking. The iced Americano was good though. Matcha blended was kinda weird, also very sweet. I ordered the Acai bowl which was pretty cheap but it was kinda watered down and the honey made it very very sweet. Today we decided to check out this quaint little coffee shop for a quick breakfast and coffee. This place is a typical coffee shop but I appreciated the big picture windows that one could sit at to people watch. There is also a big table where we gathered to play a game of scrabble after breakfast. The menu is limited for breakfast so we opted for the breakfast sandwich which was pretty basic. It consisted of egg, cheese and some bacon on a croissant. Our sandwiches came out luke warm and the cheese wasn't even melted. I asked if there was any condiments which consisted of hot sauce and chili sauce. I was hoping for a little more variety but I guess this shop is all about the coffee which was good. I gave them the order of my drink and they looked at me as if I were speaking some foreign language (I simply ordered an americano with an add shot) The barista charged me for the add shot but did not add anything into my coffee and after fixing it they refused to speak to me instead yelled at me from across the cafe. You could only imagine how I felt, embarrassed for the way she was talking to me and disappointed that my favorite cafe lacked professionalism that day. This is not your average indie coffee shop! The ambience is 5/5. The lighting really makes the place. They have a high ceiling with giant windows. As if that's not enough, they have a tasteful chandelier to match the tasty coffee. As for the coffee, I really like the flavor of the iced white mocha latte. Strong, smooth, and not overpoweringly sweet. What sets them apart is the cuban specials. I have only tried the Cafe Con Leche and Cubano. This place has the best ambience/drinks - I can truly say I'm in love! Atmosphere: Naturally quiet, which I love. I have to admit, I did come here during the end of the school quarter/when most of the students are in the process of moving out and a second time during finals week so this opinion may be skewed. Drinks: I've only gotten a drink here once and it was the ice blended green tea latte and it's so delicious ... To put it in perspective, it's better than Starbucks' and a little better than Coffee Bean's. I think it's on the sweeter end but it's definitely blended nicely (no ice chunks - looking at you, Starbucks) but is still a little too smooth for my liking. They definitely don't skimp out on the matcha powder either which is great! (Total came up to be $4.15.) I also had a sip of my cousin's iced hazelnut latte and they really know how to brew their coffee here. I'm not a coffee fanatic so you might be throwing pies at my review right now but yo, it's better than Starbuck's /and/ Coffee Bean's hazelnut latte combined! It's a lot darker, a little less on the creamy side, and definitely not watered down (@Starbucks) which is what you should expect from a coffee drink, right? Other: Parking on weekdays are $1/hour, and is free after 5pm. I hear parking is free on weekends too! The restaurant offers choices of coffee, which to my taste, is fine, and at affordable prices too. Enough sockets inside the cafe for your charging needs but for me, there were limited tables as it gets to be packed. On my first visit, i was able to sit inside. And now on my second visit, opted to sit outside because the inside of the cafe was full. Over-all, good staff, and delectable choices. The acai bowl, was not in a bowl, but it was good. I'd struggle to find a good study place in Riverside. But Molino's doesn't leave you disappointed. The shop itself is very laid back and has one huge window that lets you see the outside, which is extremely refreshing. The baristas are super friendly and the atmosphere is very calm. The second time we went there we wanted something a little different and after serving us our drinks the barista came out and talked with us for a couple minutes to make sure we were enjoying in and gave us different suggestions based on how we liked the drink.
