The restaurant is dimly lit and pretty small, which made it feel more homely. Although, parking is awful, so if you choose to drive, leave a little bit early to find some parking. They did take a little while to come out, but they were worth the wait. The food, though, was absolutely the star of the show. YAM MAMUANG BORAN - This was such an interesting dish with so many different flavors in every bite. My husband and I would never normally order a mango salad, but after hearing so many people rave about it, we had to give it a try. The sauce was absolutely phenomenal, and the fresh vegetables served alongside it made every bite even better. If you're not sure what to order, this is an absolute must. TOM YUM HAENG SEN YAI - I seriously cannot rave about this dish enough. It ended up being my favorite of the night. I already love anything Tom Yum, but this completely exceeded my expectations. The squid was cooked perfectly, and every flavor came together so beautifully. This is one dish I'll absolutely be ordering again the next time we come back. The Boo Pad Pong Garee, or stir fried crab curry, was dry and underwhelming. It was missing spice for me. There were huge chunks of crab though. The Naem Khao Tawt, or crispy rice salad, may have been my favorite bite of the night. It had a great balance of textures and flavors. The hibiscus one was soooooo intensely sour that it was almost inedible. It was very bright though. The lemongrass one reminded me too much of a savory lemongrass soup that I couldn't enjoy it. Some of the spiel and verbiage that the team had was a little pretentious and awkward. I saw them "kindly" kicking out a table for sitting past their reservation time. Portion sizes were ample and easily shareable. This is not a fast food restaurant (although service was fast). This is a sit down restaurant, so expect commensurate pricing.
