Thinking about Thai food and gave this place a try. Tried basil fried rice and panang curry. Large portion sizes to start with. They didn't skimp out on veggies or tofu. Pretty good. Taste is good but may not be the best we tried. Panang curry is a bit too sweet. And special thanks for customizing by not adding any animal sauces. Ambiance is simple. Plenty of parking

First time at Molly's Thai Ban. Was getting my cell phone fixed in the shopping center. Had an hour to kill so I asked the tech how the Thai Restaurant was? He said he never had Thai food so figured we both would try it. Early weekday lunch so I ordered one of the Chef's Special the Ginger Fantasy. Ordered Drunken Noodles & Chicken to go for the Tech. Not too crowded in the dining room, but they had a lot of food delivery orders coming in. The Ginger Fantasy had chicken, beef, pork and shrimp. Very tasty and needed a to-go box. Delivered the drunken noodles to my tech and left. Menu is large and noticed lots of curry and noodle dishes. First time I saw a Double Thai Hot option for spice level. Only ordered the mild for the Thai Food Novice with the Drunken Noodles. Happy to find a family owned restaurant in the neighborhood. Will try it again. Did my good deed for that day. .

Drunken Noodles and Green Curry.

Food was excellent, the amount of food was amazing I got at least 2 more meals not counting the one I ate at the restaurant and my wife's was the same way. Service is always fast and friendly and Molly herself (she's the owner/cook) will come out (if she's not too busy) and talk with the customers. It's not decorated like the big fancy restaurants they use their money to buy quality food and you can tell. We've been there 4or5 times and it's always been exceptional every time.

First time trying this place it was honestly pretty decent! I was very happy with the prices and loved the fact that you could order a side peanut sauce for literally 1$!! I have never seen restaurants do that! We got chicken pad medium Thai and yellow curry! Medium as well! I will say pad Thai sauce was a bit salty but with the peanut sauce it helped blend it nicely!

I order here probably at least once a week. The pad Thai with tofu and veggies is my favorite and the spicy green bean is also super tasty.

Every dish we tried at Lom Wong was packed with unique flavors and tasted so thoughtfully put together. When we first arrived, we were greeted with water, and our server took the time to walk us through the menu since it was our first visit. I loved learning that their dishes represent three different regions of Thailand and each one has its own story and significance. It made the whole experience feel even more special. The restaurant is dimly lit and pretty small, which made it feel more homely. Although, parking is awful, so if you choose to drive, leave a little bit early to find some parking. To drink, we ordered the Karaoke King and the Oliang'tini. Both were delicious and definitely on the stronger side, which we appreciated. They did take a little while to come out, but they were worth the wait. The food, though, was absolutely the star of the show. YAM MAMUANG BORAN - This was such an interesting dish with so many different flavors in every bite. My husband and I would never normally order a mango salad, but after hearing so many people rave about it, we had to give it a try. The creamy coconut milk balanced the tart mango perfectly, and the fried onions and shrimp added great texture and flavor. I definitely think this is a dish everyone should try at least once. BAMEE MU DANG - This reminded both of us of a Vietnamese egg noodle dish. It was good, but probably not something we'd order again. The char siu pork was flavorful, but the bok choy and bean sprouts felt a little underwhelming. Compared to the other dishes, this one was much more mild, so it's a great option if you're looking for something less bold. PLA RAD PRIK SAM ROT - Oh. My. Gosh. If there's one dish I could eat over and over again, it's this one. The branzino was perfectly crispy on the outside while staying incredibly moist and flaky inside. The sauce was absolutely phenomenal, and the fresh vegetables served alongside it made every bite even better. If you're not sure what to order, this is an absolute must. TOM YUM HAENG SEN YAI - I seriously cannot rave about this dish enough. It ended up being my favorite of the night. I already love anything Tom Yum, but this completely exceeded my expectations. The squid was cooked perfectly, and every flavor came together so beautifully. This is one dish I'll absolutely be ordering again the next time we come back. Overall, we had such an amazing experience. I was especially impressed by how quickly the food came out without sacrificing quality or flavor. Every dish felt intentional, fresh, and incredibly well executed. If you ever get the chance to eat here, do yourself a favor and go--you won't regret it!

I really want to believe it was a fluke. Rushing to get food out quickly to mimic Thai street food is not desirable when quality is sacrificed and the customer is paying almost $40 for a plate.. I will say the food came out within minutes of ordering. Our server was nice and patient. I needed some extra time to look over the menu and he didn't rush us to order even though he was very busy. The food was so lackluster and it pains me to say that about a Thai restaurant. Every dish was just missing something, whether it was some spicy or citrus. Every dish was very one dimensional. The Boo Pad Pong Garee, or stir fried crab curry, was dry and underwhelming. It was missing spice for me. There were huge chunks of crab though. The Naem Khao Tawt, or crispy rice salad, may have been my favorite bite of the night. It had a great balance of textures and flavors. It was refreshing and helped cut through some of the dryness of the crab curry. I loved the cured pork sausage. Tom Yum Haeng Sen Yai, or the stir fried flat rice noodles with squid, wasn't terrible. I love flat rice noodles and they had the distinct char that you would get from wok cooking. Loved that. The flavors overall weren't bad. Just again, underwhelming and lacked a good balance of flavors. I would have liked more spice, citrus, and umami. We did not care for the creme brûlée duo. The hibiscus one was soooooo intensely sour that it was almost inedible. It was very bright though. The lemongrass one reminded me too much of a savory lemongrass soup that I couldn't enjoy it. Some of the spiel and verbiage that the team had was a little pretentious and awkward. I saw them "kindly" kicking out a table for sitting past their reservation time. I've never ever seen a restaurant do that before. Really not that bad but really not worth the $20-$40 price tags either. I'm open to coming back and trying other dishes. I really think I may have came on a bad night.

As a proud Yelp Elite, I decided to give this place a chance because the reviews were the best I saw in the city! The place was busy on a Sunday night and it is small but I never say customers waiting too long. There were two larger parties seated so the food took some time but nothing outrageous. We started with the calamari, spring rolls, and crab wontons. The calamari were the biggest I've ever seen and very delicious! Unfortunately, I did not enjoy the spring rolls or crab wontons. I feel like those are hard to get wrong but I was not a fan of the cream cheese that was used and it was a lot of it, barely any imitation crab. For entrees, I had the spicy basil and substituted ground chicken for chicken breast, my personal preference. I ordered level 2 spice but it was still a bit spicy for me. Trying a new Thai place is always hit or miss with spice levels so I actually thought I was being safe with 2. Additionally, the chicken was so bland. Some Thai places season their chicken, some do not and unfortunately Pad Thai Cafe missed that mark. My partner ordered the short rib curry dish and my goodness, it smelled like heaven and tasted just as good. I don't eat beef but had to taste it and it was divine! He also ordered spice level 2 and his dish was not as spicy as mine. Overall, the rest of the party enjoyed their food and there were good flavors there so I'd definitely recommend the entrees, not so much the starters.

I went for the Chicken Pad Thai and stuck with water as my drink. I was pleasantly surprised when the food started coming out because I expected it to take longer. I'd say it took about 15 minutes, even during lunch rush. My Chicken Pad Thai was delicious. The serving size was good and it came with a spring roll on the side. The price isn't bad at all either. Parking was easy, but unfortunately the service was the worst part of the visit. I sat down to look at the menu and place a to-go order, only to be told to move to another seat. A simple order of pad thai and spring rolls took exactly 42 minutes. After several follow-ups, no one told me the food was ready until I walked up to the counter myself. Overall, a frustrating experience, and I would not recommend it with other Thai restaurant options nearby.
