This is a small cafe near Epic Universe. It is small and hidden in a new shopping center. This restaurant has absolutely delicious food. I went with a group of 4 and we had 4 different breakfast platters. Everything was sooo good. They also offer fresh squeezed orange juice, it was sweet and perfect. They also have lunch items, but don't start serving them until about 11AM. The only downfall is they don't have enough employees for the amount of people that walk in during their busy period. We tried to eat there on a second day and they had a 45 minute wait. It was a shame because it was so good! I highly recommend this restaurant but arrive early or during low season. It's worth the visit.

We decided to visit Moma's Cafe for our book club meeting this month & it's a nice place. It's near the Epic hotels and it's small but, the ambiance is very busy it stayed packed the entire time we were there. We looked at the menu and went up to order . I decided on the cookie butter latte and the cheesesteak scramble. The wait time was about 55 mins but, that was fine with us so we had uninterrupted time to discuss the book we read for the month. My coffee and scramble were delicious. I also decided to add on a warm strawberry and cheese pastry . The scramble was keto friendly which was awesome. I would def come back here again everyone's food looked great and we had no complaints at all. The customer service was Awesome!

Nice, cute experience here! Food was good. Wait for food was long. They're not ready for big crowds yet... Makes sense because it's a cafe. So just prepare to wait a while on a summer Saturday morning. Avocado toast was really good! I very much enjoyed their liege waffle. Great flavor. Who would've thought you dip it in a little sweetened condensed milk and top with banana. Eggs, sausage, and hash brown are standard! Cannot complain.

Nice breakfast menu! I had a pistachio latte that was by far one of my favorite lattes ever! Everyone else in my party had black coffee that was piping hot! Our food was delicious. It was pretty crowded so it took about 25 minutes for our food to come out. I ordered cheese steak on hash browns, my husband ordered the cheese steak scrambler and our friends had huevos rancheros and southern hearty! The restaurant was clean and neat and I would definitely recommend it.

Food was good. Cold brew coffee was a bit water downed more than I'd like. Very swift in the service and ambiance is a relaxed homey feel. Parking wasn't too hard to find. The building is in the far right side of the plaza. They accept cash and card.

The cranberry orange muffin was great. Also, I had the chicken & cheese empanada which was good as well!!! The service was pretty quick for me. It was really busy, so I chose some grab and go items versus full on meals due to the short time I had available. Really cute, and quaint restaurant. The staff were nice and welcoming.

Great little place. Very busy,took about 20mins for our food to come. Coffees are good. The vibe is great, many people going in and out. My avocado egg sandwich is delicious except they have to be more careful as I bit into eggshells. No biggie but 3 bites with eggshells in it yikes! we will still go back though.

Fun Café located near Universal Studios in Orlando. We stopped in for a lunch on our way from the airport. The place has a fun vibe with attentive servers. We had our luggage with us and they were happy to accommodate our luggage and allowing us to stay to hang out for a little bit. We went with the Portobello avocado sandwich with a side of fries and a BLT. The garlic aïoli was full of flavor, and the bacon had a good crunch to it. I enjoyed the portobello sandwich as it was something different than I've usually had. We came for breakfast and all enjoyed our selections. From a cheese omelette to a burrito., they were all delicious. The gourmet avocado toast is a must!

Good breakfast spot, very helpful & nice manager -food took about 40 minutes but it was worth it. Huevos rancheros were delicious & tried their tres leche iced latte, good but I could barely taste the coffee it was like drinking sweet milk. Definitely order a waffle with graham cracker crumbs. adds a nice crunch.

As we looked for a new spot to try for some breakfast or even brunch, we noticed we were pretty close by to Momas Cafe and decided this would be the spot to go. It is self seating, so we found a spot to sit and checked the menu, it was a good sized menu but I'd say I struggled to find something that stood out to me. I felt it was lacking a signature dish, something that tells me I need to try it. Nonetheless, I was settled on the Spanish Fiesta and my drink which was an orange juice mixed with a lime juice and more. Safe to say I enjoyed them both, the drink was super fresh and refreshing. The food was honestly great, it comes with green peppers normally but im not much of a peppers person so i skipped on that, but this was a flavorful dish. It was basically a breakfast bowl that normally has potatoes but this one one replaces the potatoes with cubed and seasoned soughdough bread that impressed me! Its definitely something I would eat again. It is more of a cafe vibe so I would say not to expect too much in terms of the service you will get at your table. At the register they were very friendly and even helpful if you needed something. It was good overall and Safe to say that I would definitely come back here and eat if I am in the area.

**INITIAL REVIEW** While on a weekend vacation to Orlando to celebrate my stepdad's birthday, my sister who lived in Orlando for a good portion of her life, even longer than I have, suggested a breakfast/brunch place she's heard of while we were out and about for the day. Given the fact I am a connoisseur of breakfast/brunch places, I had to second her suggestion. Ergo, my family and I got to try out Moma's Cafe with this being my very first time eating here. Though an address is provided, Moma's Cafe (which I will shorthand simply to Moma's) is located in The District, an apartment complex on Universal Blvd. in Orlando. Just like some traditional malls, this apartment complex is incorporating the hybrid commercial/residential setup in which the first one or two floors are for commerce while the higher-up floors are for residential. First and foremost, the parking situation can be confusing. The parking lot in front of Moma's is limited and only has one way in, one way out. Ergo, if it is full, most people will have to park in the parking garage located within the complex. Take note there is a "walk-thru" from the parking garage through the apartment complex to the storefront area where most people will enter commerce businesses, including Moma's. Just follow the signs from the garage and you'll find your way. Though there are some outdoor seating available, the restaurant's minimal indoor seating suggests it gets its majority of business through pickup, takeout, and/or delivery. However, the interior is quite cozy despite being quite a space to work with. Prior to ordering, you can view the physical menu or scan a QR code for a digital menu complete with pictures of said food. Moma's also has a nice selection of pre-made and baked goods, some of them being keto-friendly. After taking our order, we found a table that was somewhat close to the water refill station. Eventually, our food arrived and I have to say, very simplistic in nature but good nevertheless. My family ordered French Toast, an omelette known as "Greek Glory". a full breakfast known as the Southern Hearty, and the Breakfast Club sandwich. I ordered the Tex-Mex Chicken ScramBowl (hodgepodge word of scramble and bowl) and Chicken and Cheese Stuffed Avocado. **DETAILS OF MENU ITEMS IN PICTURES** The food was absolutely delicious. For me, the two food menu items I got were very filling. That is a big deal for me as I am searching for very high-volume foods with low calories. Take notice I said "very" at the end of high-volume. Ergo, think of 1000 grams or more but less than 500 calories altogether. Better if less than 300 calories. And on a sidenote, the restrooms were cleaned and well-stocked. Nothing out of the ordinary or over-the-top, as it served its purpose without any disgust. Ultimately, I am going to give Moma's an initial rating of 4 out of 5 stars. Excellent food, excellent prices, and friendly service. Only "issue" is that the food did take longer to make compared to other breakfast/brunch restaurants or mom n' pop restaurants. But who's ever been perfect, right? I know I will be back sometime in the future, and if they are consistent, let's say two more times at least, I'll give Moma's their fifth star for consistency in an updated review.

The good news is the food was great! I had the avocado toast with two eggs and a side of sausage which was delicious. The coffee was also good. The bad news is I went on a Sunday and told my wife I was going again on Monday and Tuesday as we were leaving on Wednesday. Unfortunately they are closed on Monday and Tuesday. Wish I found this place earlier. Give it a try. read more

Besides being a little difficult to find (right next to small cakes, look for the name on the windows), this place was awesome! The guy in the Yankees cap (Go Cardinals) working the front and the espresso machine was great and had a friendly personality. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. The Huevos Rancheros and America's Favorite were both delicious but I'm sure everything else is just as good! We are just visiting from St. Louis so it was nice to find a place that wasn't as touristy. This place is as local-friendly as they come and they cater to everyone, definitely give Moma's a visit! read more

Michael was amazing! He was working front of house by himself and even running food from the kitchen and taking the dirty dishes back. The food was wonderfully fresh. I ordered the omelette and the ingredients tasted fresh from a garden. My daughter ordered the pesto chicken sandwich and said it was amazing. Give this little place a try, even when extremely busy Michael was professional and kind. Next time in Orlando this will be a go to! read more

Nice little place- friendly, clean and quiet. I liked the cold brew - made with coffee ice cubes! Meals were good, although portions were small. We stopped at D&D on the way out for more coffee and food. Place was short staffed so allow for some time to enjoy the ambiance while waiting to be served. Beware the 'Golden French Toast' is stuffed with peanut butter; the restaurant has since updated their online menu with this detail. read more

The service here was ridiculous, the wait times alone were insane. The barista yelled out to the restaurant the wait for food was 45 minutes, so we ordered coffee and pastries in the meantime for our food to come out. We ended up waiting well over an hour for the two coffees and an orange juice while the people behind us all got theirs. Will not be coming back... very disorganized and disappointing. read more

Moma's Cafe is an absolute gem! It is a bistro-like setting, but with REAL cooking and tremendous coffee! The Cold Brew is off the charts. Came here twice once we discovered it - the Oeufs Cocotte (French style baked eggs in cream) with ham and a croissant was silky and wonderful (see pic). The Power Morning (4 eggs, 4 bacon, sautéed mushrooms & spinach and half a sliced avocado) was just excellent. And while they have all of the standard "Waffle House" stuff, there is some amazing and creative cooking going on here as well! Will come here whenever we are in town! read more

Extremely slow kitchen. I knew we were in trouble when a table next to us food came out one plate at a time. Then I noticed the sign on the register 45 to 50 minutes for food. They weren't busy. 4 parties a total of 10 people. Go somewhere else. read more

This cafe was awesome! Parking for this shopping center is weird/limited but it's worth it. Park in the parking garage at the back and take the weird walkway to cut through to the front. I went with a friend during MegaCon and they had an excellent selection of anime themed items. That was unexpected. Everything we ordered was excellent and beautifully presented. Definitely try the Belgium sugar waffles! I've never had Belgium waffles like these before. So good! The Nutella latte and the vegetarian grits bowl were incredible. They also had a vegan grits bowl. The staff were very friendly. They warned us about a delay in the kitchen and they were true to their word on how long it would take. Which wasn't long at all. I'm surprised they even warned us about it but I appreciated the transparency. Highly recommend. read more

Was in town and my friends and I were craving some good brunch food, we found this cafe online and decided to try it out. Right when we walked in the atmosphere was amazing ! Clean, simple, music, and some hardworking staff. There were only a few people working and they had a massive, long line waiting to order. The staff were working hard and diligently, while still maintaining a welcoming, open, and kind customer service! Later we got our drinks and food, our food was phenomenal and they had many orders to make. Thank you for the amazing quality, the service, and perseverance. 10/10 read more

I'm in Orlando for a convention at the OCCC so I was looking for a quick brunch before heading over. The food options are quite limited around the center, but this place is absolutely amazing! The guy at the cashier was SUPER kind, helping me with the Wi-Fi, and accommodated all my small menu modifications. The food was delicious too! I ordered the breakfast burrito with avocado/egg/cheese (no cheese add mushroom) and a cafe con tres leches with less condensed milk. It's a great place to get some work done too! read more

Many to go and food delivery orders were being picked up. This is a wonderful little restaurant in kind of an unexpected spot. Super cool, relaxed spot. Went here for breakfast with my family today. Michael took our orders and was very friendly. You order at the counter and someone brings your food for you. I had the country fried steak and biscuits and gravy. It was ok. Next time I will try the avocado toast. My wife loved her spinach and eggs. The kids liked the French toast. read more

We were a bit nervous walking in, but let me just say! Don't judge this book by any covers! Menus at the door and sat ourselves, I thought the menus had an old diner feel to them! Ordered our food, which the girl was awesome! Food was amazing! From there he bacon egg and cheese, to waffles, and even country fried steak! I'm not big on Starbucks like places making me coffee, but the employees creations drink had just what I wanted and the amazing cashier asked about everything that made my coffee exactly as I wanted! That's a big deal for me as I don't know how to order the drink I like, thus I get premade coffee usually! 10/10 from my wife and me! Food, service, ambience, variety of food and coffee option, everything was amazing and wish I had a shop like this back home! read more

Moma's cafe did not disappoint. I came in to get a bit of food before I started my day. Love the QR codes on the table to look at the menu so no awkward standing around trying to figure out what you want. I got the America's Favorite a really big breakfast, tastes amazing. And my bf got the Spanish Fiesta which perfect with coffee. The coffee was light but strong loved that they had oat milk. Will definitely be back! read more

I eat here two days in a row on a family trip and it was amazing both days! I eat a breakfast burrito the first day and I just fell in love with the place. I don't think I'll try this restaurant next time. The place is beautiful, peaceful environment and clean. It wasn't full, there was a lot of tables available to seat. First step scan the menu, the pictures and letters are very small, hard to read. Second step go to the registrer to order.... Guess what! The person told us 40 to 50 minutes waiting for the breakfast and he also mentioned that there was another place and the wait is almost the same. Of course, it is! the difference is the other places were full with no available tables. He never mentioned orders to go, just said that we had to wait 40 minutes for the food. Maybe they cook everything from scratch, and that means quality, but how long can take to cook two sandwiches with ham, bacon, egg and cheese, french toasts and two coffees? read more

And I must say the coffee was so good, it was even better than the Juan Valdez coffee that I make at home. Since I didn't visit the restaurant, I can't comment on the atmosphere. The hummus appetizer was excellent and was easily the highlight of the meal. It was flavorful and served with pita, cucumbers, carrots, and red peppers. The food presentation overall was attractive and showed promise. The most serious issue occurred when my son ordered a refill of his virgin mojito and was served a drink containing alcohol. He immediately noticed something was wrong after taking a sip and handed it to me. I tasted it as well and confirmed that it contained alcohol. Serving alcohol in a child's drink is a significant mistake and should never happen. We also ordered the steak frites based on a recommendation and were told it was exceptional. Unfortunately, the steak was extremely tough and chewy, making it difficult to eat and far from what was described. Management apologized and removed the steak from the bill, but the combination of excessive wait times, the alcohol mix-up involving a minor, and the disappointing entrée left a poor overall impression.

There were plenty of fun activities for the kids and there was an all-you-can-eat buffet for the kids with fried chicken and shrimp, macaroni and cheese, fries, and red velvet cupcakes. $25 is a deal if your child would chow down on shrimp, but it might not be a great deal if your child is usually full after four bites. Our server was absolutely fantastic, friendly and very attentive. We started off the dinner with some fantastic deviled eggs and a lemon cello cocktail. I ordered the shrimp and grits and was really disappointed with the tiny, overcooked shrimp and crawfish that accompanied the slightly bland grits. The shrimp on the kids buffet was at least four times larger than the sad little shrimp in my dish. I think the sausage was cut into smaller chunks just so it wouldn't be so obvious how small the shrimp was. My husband didn't love his heirloom tomato salad and said the Wagyu appetizer was disgusting. Dessert was mediocre. The macarons that accompanied my crème brûlée were stale and chewy. This is a fun spot for a drink and appetizer, but I would skip eating dinner at Highball & Harvest.

Their most expensive patacon on the menu is the one with Picańha and it says $17...yet I got charged 25.90. Regardless of how good something is, there shouldn't be a $9 difference from what is on the menu. That is absurd. On my last trip- $43 for an empanada, tequeńos and a patacon just doesn't sound right for Venezuelan food, and I come from living in Miami where restaurants are supposed to be more expensive. Add a tip and you're paying over $50 for street food. That's wild.

This was my first time experiencing a buffet for hispanic food and for this price point in Orlando, this is an amazing value deal. The server regularly brought us out silverware, napkins, and refilled our water. The place is decorated very fun and plays latin music which was lovely Not only was there an unlimited assortment of lunch foods, but an entire bar of fresh toppings for tacos (or rice bowls) and made to order desserts which were included for free! Not everything on the buffet line was the best but given the amount of options, price, and how good the great items are this is still worth a five star rating. I unfortunately did not take pictures of the food before I began devouring everything in sight to the point of near-collapse, but I will do a quick rundown of the buffet highlights: The best meats were the fajita steak, chicken, and shrimp made fresh in cast iron skillets, as well as the chicken lengua which was super flavorful and tender. The mexican rice, beans, fajitas, plantains, and street corn were also excellent. Fresh quesadillas, chips, and corn tortillas on standby with homemade queso and salsas. The flan and mini churros were the best I've ever had. Super rich, decadent Carmel flan. Mini churros hot and crisp on the outside, filled with a gooey soft milk chocolate center. They were delicious. Items that were disappointing: the tamales, mini chicken flautas, and beef chimichangas were just okay, lacking the seasoning and flavor that other dishes had. The beef barbacoa was not as tender or flavorful as the shredded chicken surprisingly. The mixed seafood was itself a mixed bag with some shrimps / scallops overcooked to much while others were perfectly cooked. The chicken mole and beef tri tip were room temperature despite sitting on hot plates. The tri tip also varied widely in doneness throughout the slices and not super tender. The rice pudding was pretty standard, and the tres leches cake was weird as they crumbled the cake into pieces before soaking it.

I wish that I could give negative stars to this establishment.Three employees with maybe one chef,who knows.Sat in at the restaurant for two hours for breakfast and had to leave after being told there was another 3 orders in front of us when there wasn't even 3 people in the restaurant. There was no checking in on us or anything of that nature,just an awkward atmosphere that frankly smelled terrible. Ordering the most simple meal on the menu for each of us(4 people),we expected a quick and easy breakfast.How hard can eggs,waffles,bacon,and a hash brown be?Its not like it was packed to the gills with no seats and a million people to cook for,there were two other people in the place. We arrived at 11:30 for a breakfast/brunch and we left at 1:30,hungry,smelling bad, and completely dissatisfied with our experience there having not seen a single piece of food.People coming in 45 minutes after us were getting their food before us as we sat there in disbelief.How is it possible that after all of this,with barely a soul in the restaurant,there were still 3 orders in front of us?This restaurant required payment after ordering so we had to request a refund as we decided it wasn't worth waiting the entire day for whatever their one chef could cook up.The man at the restaurant said,"don't worry i'll refund the tip too" like this wasn't the most obvious thing.If you have an entire day to spend waiting for breakfast that I wish I could review but never even got to see,go ahead and come to this restaurant.I would not under any circumstances recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to actually eat food.0 stars and I would give them negative if I could.Terrible. read more

I visited Moma's for breakfast and ordered the Breakfast Burrito and the Spanish Fiesta, accompanied by freshly squeezed orange juice and a peppermint tea. The food was fantastic--flavorful and freshly made, making it well worth the wait. That said, the wait time for the food was about 30-45 minutes, as everything is made to order. While I appreciated the cozy and relaxed atmosphere, the staff seemed a bit rushed. It wasn't particularly busy at the time, so the long wait for food combined with the hurried service during ordering is why I couldn't give a full 5-star rating. I also noticed a tempting selection of bakery items that I didn't get to try, so I'd love to return to explore more of their menu. If i could give this restaurant zero stars, I would. I am very disappointed to admit i spent 2 hours in this cafe waiting for my food. As someone who frequently visits Orlando, I will not be coming back. On my trips I try not to waste my time. Sadly this cafe did just that. While anyone can have an off day, the same issues occurred each time we visited, which made it feel less like an isolated incident and more like an ongoing customer service problem. First impressions matter, and the way guests are treated at the entrance sets the tone for the entire dining experience. Unfortunately, based on our experience, the service at the front of the restaurant needs significant improvement. We hope management takes guest feedback seriously and works on creating a more welcoming and professional atmosphere for future visitors. Update: After posting/sharing my concern, I ran into the manager and explained the situation to him directly. He was very friendly, professional, and accommodating.
