I went tonight with a group of women from my neighborhood. They have indoor and outdoor seating and a casual atmosphere. I got a strawberry margarita to start. It was very sweet and very small. I would say about 3 maybe 4 sips total. It had a lot of ice and a small glass. The sushi is just okay. About the level of Publix sushi when they have just made it. It is very pricey though. My meal with one roll, salmon nigiri, and a very small drink cost $50. The server was nice but very slow. I don't think I will be heading back. The Wave is close by and cheaper with better drinks.

We returned to Momiji for about the 7th time in 2 years. It's that good. We go out of our way for the food/experience. We drive 45 minutes to get there. Food is terrific. I can't have dairy so that limits what I can have. But Denise & Michele order whatever, except shellfish. So three different dishes we can't share. Service is always attentive and cheerful. Presentation is beautiful. We will go back there, again and again.

I ordered from this restaurant through Grubhub. I ordered the red snapper teriyaki, spider tempura appetizer and Yankee Naruto sushi roll. The red snapper was a little over cooked but tasted really good over the teriyaki onions. The spider tempura appetizer was way over cooked along with the tempura vegetables that accompanied it. Couldn't be resuscitated by the air fryer. The Yankee Naruto sushi roll was good just too much cucumbers for my liking. The meal was a little pricey but I would order from this restaurant again if I need a meal.

We love this place!! The food is consistently delicious!! It NEVER disappoints! I highly recommend that you get the pork gyoza ($7.50) as an appetizer. The staff are awesome at getting your starters out super fast! We usually always order 2-3 appetizers! Then they bring you soup and salad if you ordered hibachi, it's included. The steak and scallops are always cooked perfectly! We always end with a tempura fried ice cream. I highly recommend the green tea. Even if you are not normally a green tea fan, you will not be disappointed with the flavors in the ice cream! Once again, this was an awesome dining experience!

Pretty pricey but excellent service and delicious food. However, Momiji is not pretentious; it has three televisions on which to keep up with the game or the news. I think of it for date night or dinner with friends. However, a family with two elementary age children were enjoying sushi at the next table - with their fingers, of course. The restaurant offers plenty of sushi, sashimi, and other main course options. Main course, non-sushi options, include hibachi and bento boxes. The hibachi meat choices include shrimp, scallops, chicken, steak, and salmon, individually and in combination. The shrimp and scallops hibachi was a huge portion. It comes with noodles, mixed vegetables, fried rice, and the seafood. The shrimp and scallops were seasoned so well they needed no sauce. However, everything else lacked basic seasoning. I mixed wasabi with soy sauce and dumped that on the veggies, noodles, and rice, which added some flavor and heat. It was also delicious as left overs the next day. The hibachi comes with clear soup and ginger dressed salad. The clear soup appeared to be the broth from a won ton soup with a couple of mushroom slices for decoration. It was edible. The salad was similar; nothing outstanding or special. The rolls can be ordered individually or Momiji offers combos or certain roles at a discount. We had the shrimp tempura, salmon/cream cheese, and spicy salmon skin rolls. The shrimp tempura roll was huge. They used four shrimp. I am use to getting two if that at other places. We also ordered the mango shrimp appetizer. The shrimp were excellent. The shrimp were served with fresh sliced mango and a tiny drizzle of mango juice. It really needed more mango. The also served honey mustard dressing as a dipping sauce on the side, which just doesn't go with the mango shrimp. We also tried the uni. It was good but a little muddy.

Sean, our server, was a knowledgeable delight who guided me through the menu's hidden gems. We had the deviled eggs with caviar and the duck confit bruschetta... both made me giggle they were so good. DO NOT MISS the lobster bisque. It will haunt my dreams forever... I had the surf and turf satay and my companions had the smoked scallops and the lobster parpadelle. All amazing dishes. The satay had ALL the flavors ... great for those with FOMO. The Zongo is a house made creation that was perfect with the Sauternes. Also- the wine list is well curated and reasonably priced. Can't wait for them to open their new location!!

First, the chef greeted almost everyone but us which was quite disappointing. Second, my order was messed up. I did told them i touched it since i thought it looked like my dish with the scallops yet the waiter still picked it up and serve to another table. Our food also took a long time to come out..water took a long time to get refilled along with the napkins and our wine did not come out until way later. Third, our bill was messed up as well. So definitely be cautious. Also, pro tip is it is cheaper if you pay in cash. We did try new stuff such as kangaroo tartare..definitely was a hit but crab fondue was ok as well as the pastas. You could definitely make them at home. The lobster pasta was too overpowering with garlic and there was barely any duck in the duck and pork pasta. For Ocala, i would say okay if you wanted to give fine dining a try. I just would not be back due to how we were treated, all the mess ups and underwhelming food for what we paid for. I do have to give props to the scallops. It was nicely cooked ( still soft, and could melt in your mouth).

There was almost no one in the place, yet we had to go to the bar after about 5 minutes to get seated. The bartender was also the server, and I got the idea also the owner. She never slowed down, to the point that you could not ask questions or get additional items. The atmosphere was very rushed. My wife ordered the shrimp and scallops and I ordered the bolonese. When our food arrived, the scallops were the tiny bay scallops that are not even a full bite. She was pretty dissapointed in this but it didn't say sea scallops so she didn't say anything. The bolonese was TERRIBLE. It was advertised as having meat sauce, there was no meat, it was not creamy at all.It taste just like hunts canned spaghetti sauce with nothing added. When I told the server it was not good, she snatched it off the table and took it to the back. No apology, didn't ask if I wanted anything else, just took it away. The cook did come out to ask what was wrong, when I said it taste like a can, he had no response, only asked if I wanted something else. I had to eat so I ordered the burger with fries. This came out fine, a little undercooked, but that is sometimes what you get when you order a medium burger. The fries were crispy and well seasoned. This is supposed to be a French place, there are very little French dishes, a lot of Italian dishes, and a decent burger. THis is not a place I would return to.

A quaint little town northwest of Orlando…read more There's shopping, some nice little restaurants, and a big ol' lake that you can rent a catboat on and drive it around. That's what we did that morning. Ambiance was great. It felt like each little dining area was a different room in a big, semi-haunted mansion. Eclectic books and paintings and mirrors and other baubles adorned much of the walls, making for plenty of looking around time during you meal. Very fun. Service was really good. The pacing of the meal was great, and our server was very friendly. We were always with drink, and she knew the menu backwards and forwards, even the special dishes of the night. As for the food, we went whole hog with two apps, two mains, and a dessert to share. Out of everything we ordered, only one of them remains on the current menu, which is a great sign. I love a rotating, seasonal menu. It shows effort, and it definitely encourages return patronage. We started with the Ciabatta Board (toasted ciabatta, house butter made with sun dried tomato, roasted red pepper, parmesan, garlic, chive). This was nice. It was very sun dried tomato, so if you don't like them, don't get this. But very soft, toasty bread made this very lovely. We also got an escargot app which was very creamy and soup-like. The snails were complimented well by the spinach. And the whole thing came with a nice little breadstick. I saved some of the bread from the board for some sopping. Pro move. For our mains, we got a miso butter New York strip and some sort of Asian themed duck. For both mains, the proteins were cooked very very well, and the portion sizes were a good size compared to what I was expecting. Both sets of taters were good. The mash was very smooth and creamy, the roasted baby potatoes were cooked all the way through and were nice and naturally buttery. Both were served with a seasonal veg mix that was pretty ok. It rounded out the plate, but it won't change your world or anything. We finished off with one of the best slices of cheesecake I've ever had. Incredibly smooth with the perfect cheesecake density, the perfect amount of chocolate chips inside, and a nice little crust that added that little bit of texture that is needed from the crust. Overall, quite a meal! To survive in a small town with these prices and those quality ingredientes and that unique of a menu design is very impressive. I will certainly be back.
