Soups offered include African Peanut and Hungarian Mushroom and others. I tried the mushroom and it is full of flavor and yummy even on a hot day. The soup comes with a smile from owner who named the kitchen after her mom. Many recipes are created by her mom. She must have been a great cook because we lived what we tried.

    The best Hungarian mushroom soup!

The. Best. Mushroom soup!! Seriously, if you ever have a chance to visit this wonderful little soup and sandwich shop in the Gresham area, do it! Everything I have tried from there is amazing! But I'm the biggest fan of the Hungarian Mushroom soup. It's the perfect combination of mushrooms, garlic, creamy texture, and soul! The owner of this shop is great as well! Always friendly and cheerful! An awesome place for terrific food!!

My husband said the onion rings were on point and his chicken sandwich was good, not great. The customer service was amazing. They go in a "throw everything onto the bun the way we like it" road, so mostly you eat things their way. Sometimes, you just want a burger. Worth checking out again, for sure, this time for the dogs. We've been wanting to find a new burger place for a while now, so when I was on my way home one day I thought I'd stop in at Buhnz, since it was on my way. Lovely, friendly staff, good vibe, it seemed like the whole family was there. I looked over the menu and had to think for a moment. Wasn't it Bourdain who said "You have to ask yourself, when you are making a burger, 'am I actually improving this? It is already almost perfect, so am I making it better by putting things on it?'" Buhnz brings that question into sharp focus. The-woman-who-lets-me-live-with-her (thanks Mike), likes a mushroom Swiss burger. It's not that she isn't adventurous, its that she wasn't there to look at the menu and I wanted to start off with something familiar. No Swiss, no mushrooms. Now, they're not on the menu either, but they're pretty standard, aren't they? That's one of the three or four classic burgers. I got her the cheese burger, straight up, no pickles. It's a good burger, no lie. Juicy enough, maybe a bit too far down the smashburger trail (not enough thickness to retain any pink), but a good all around cheeseburger. Fries are also very tasty. I ordered the Buhnz Burger for myself. This is their eponymous burger, what are they going for? Everything, it would seem. Somewhere under a mountain of very tasty stuff there was a burger, nicely caramelized, tender and juicy. But it was under there somewhere. Everything tasted good. The people are friendly. The vibe is simple, but friendly, the rest is just my biases. Burgers are, to me at least, something that should be available my way, since they are so customizable. Limiting me to a set menu in that context will keep me from stopping as frequently as I might like.

Walking into the Soda Shop, it feels like a kid's daydream. There was candy and souvenirs everywhere, a big ice cream counter, and, of course, the soda shop. I noticed that they also sell food here-- it smelled amazing and I would definitely give it a try if I came again. Ordering was easy, and the young man behind the counter was really helpful-- I had never been to a soda hop before, so I had some questions about the options. He did not make me feel silly for having questions, and he did a good job of both training his coworker and being attentive to the line at the same time. I ordered a sugar free salted caramel soda (there were so many sugar free options!!!) It was delightful. I was a little apprehensive that it would actually taste like the flavor, but I was pleasantly surprised. The price point is higher than you would pay for a normal soda, but I think that the novelty of the experience is worth it. We had a great time, and would definitely return (I want to see the upper level, too-- that was closed for a private event when we stopped in).

It was close to the office and not very busy at 10 o'clock. When you come in you basically go up to the counter and order and then they bring it to your table. There is a little sort of patio type enclosed area, must be in addition they added. Plenty of spaces to sit. The decor is mainly honeybees and they seem to promote that quite a bit. They have lots of coffee options which was great. And a pretty extensive menu. We all ordered something different. I had two pancakes and besides the maple syrup taste they were very bland. I actually had to use my knife to cut them as the texture was just really off for me. My iced mocha with honey was actually really good so I liked that. Feedback from coworkers were that we would not go there again because there are better options. One had a Reuben with fries that looked fabulous and she really enjoyed it. Two of them had omelettes and kept adding salt. They both commented how nothing on the plate had flavor. One had avocado toast that was absolutely beautiful and she liked that. And the other had some type of breakfast sandwich and she said she would not get that again. We tried it and it seems to do well just not for us. Not for me.
