We are in Town to get our semi repaired and one of the office guys said this is a good place. One guy comes in here once a week. So we thought we would try it tonite. It was really busy and we got seated immediately. Our waitress took our orders we had the special stuffed avo with shrimp salad and tortilla fried chips. Wow that was really good. We ordered off the special menu everything. Then we had two Wedge salads one with shrimp and other chicken. Wow again... they were two wedges (1/2 head)!! Everything was super. The service, like their food, is awesome. The pricing is good. The restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere.

We are breakfast here a few years ago and were turned off that the wheat toast only came with 1 piece instead of 2 like the white because it was 'more expensive'. We thought that was very petty and cheap of them. But my parents aren't from this town and wanted to try it for dinner and we agreed. Our party of 6 was quickly seated. We were shoved into a corner booth instead of putting 2 tables together even though they were not crowded at all. The bench clanked and moved as we were getting into it (rounded bench and table) We felt as though it was going to fall apart! (We are thin people, so it had nothing to do with the size of the people) A stack of menus was thrown on the table. Very strange and small menus. No drinks listed, no listing of what the side items were that came with the meals and nobody offered the information either. 3 members immediately went to the bathroom, but yet she came to take our order before everyone sat or even looked at the menu. They also wanted to know what we wanted to drink when three of the members were still not there. Again, we had to ask what they had to drink since it wasn't on the menu. We had to ask her to come back, but we did ask the side items. They were a salad, baked potato, mashed potato, sweet potato, applesauce, coleslaw, and a vegetable of the day which happened to be green beans, wax beans, and carrots mixed together. A basket of cold tore bought bread slices was placed with only 3 butters. Two of us ordered the Parmesan crusted fish meal with baked potato, one person ordered a salad which had some fresh and some canned fruit and grilled chicken, one person ordered the crab cakes, one person had a fish sandwich with french fries and another person ordered the chicken quesadilla. The only thing halfway decent was the salad. Although the chicken was plentiful, they could have cut it down better considering it was almost 2 inches thick! Both fishes were so fishy tasting neither of us ate it. The baked potato left parentheses which was obviously microwaved) was so overcooked and dry! They only sent two small things of butter and a thing of sour cream that was about a quarter of an inch high. Same with the tartar sauce. crabcakes were tiny, especially for the price. They had too much filler in them and didn't have much flavor. Chicken quesadilla was fried and way too much grease and really didn't have any flavor except for the salsa that was on the side that was way too spicy! The fish sandwich came on a bun. That was way too thick and very dry. The fish sandwich itself had no flavor, but was nicely fried. Nobody came back to ask how our meals were. Nobody came back to offer us more drinks... When we asked for boxes to go thinking, maybe we could Dr some of the meals up at home we were brought out tiny little boxes. Of all the tables, we saw one that had a black tablecloth on it and all the other just had peeling hard tops. There is plenty of outside seating which was nicely decorated, etc. In hindsight, I wish we had eaten outside, even though it was a little bit warm. Pulling up to location you would think it was a little bit of a fancy restaurant but when you see waiters wearing basketball shorts, your mind is quickly changed!!! None of us have any intentions of going back here. We should have stuck with our initial opinion of how cheap they were to only give one piece of wheat toast! read more

Such a great find! We were on a road trip from VA to upstate NY and came across this cute restaurant from looking on yelp. It had nice outdoor seating as well as nice booths inside. The server was so sweet and friendly. We shared fish tacos and chicken club wrap. They were both so good. We wanted to stop in on our way back home but they are not open on Mondays so keep that in mind. Highly recommend this little gem. read more

Come here a couple times a month for lunch, and always leave satisfied. The wait staff are all incredible - very friendly, and the food comes quick. Lots of variety, but not too much to overwhelm. I grew up in the area but haven't visited in a while so I decided to look for somewhere new to try and stumbled upon Momma Spriggs. I immediately saw some delicious sounding stuff on the menu and had to try it. I had the apple pecan wrap and it was so good. My only note would be more of the fruit but id happily eat it any day. I ordered the sweet potato fries with it and they were absolutely worth the upgrade. My husband and sister both had the crab cake sandwiches and agreed it was yummy though a bit too much bread for the size of the patty. Our server was very attentive and never left our drinks empty. Stopped in Friday night seeking desserts. Found a great selection of house made cakes and cookies. We enjoyed coconut cake, carrot cake ( pineapple & walnuts, no raisins), double chocolate cake, and salted caramel crunch cheesecake (not homemade). Service was pleasant, desserts amazing, relaxed atmosphere. Went back the next night for dinner and were impressed once again. There was a 20 minute wait but definitely worth it. Starting off with complimentary homemade bread served warm with butter. Drunken Sailor with cole slaw (house made) offered variety. Fish and chips (house made ) was an excellent portion for the price served on a beautiful brioche bun. Our server Nicole went above and beyond with excellent service. A go-to place for my husband and me, but the other night we had a shitty experience. I ordered the Parmesan crusted broiled haddock (described as lightly dusted with lemon Parmesan and panko crumbs) ... $15.95. When it was served, the fish was thin, small, watery, pale, no crumbs or crust, and not appetizing at all. But I thought, maybe it will taste better than it looked ... not. One bite was all I needed. So I politely told the server who apologized and said that he'd tell the manager (maybe owner but not sure). The manager came over, I explained my displeasure very politely, and asked for the fried fish instead. He proceeded to tell me in a perturbed manner that if I didn't like the fried fish either, I would still be charged for it! Give me a break! Went here last night. Amazing service from Moe, our server. She was very sweet and attentive. The food was very good. The stars were the filet and crab cake entree and the creme brûlée dessert. Absolutely delicious! My husband and I stopped there on our travels to New York today. The hand made cheese planks with the delicious marinara are the best you will find. Sure you can wear your jeans but there may be people dressed up...they accept everyone. The menu includes something for everyone. The staff and overall service was fantastic. Our waiter Tony was very professional and took great care of us. They had two outdoor seating areas one in front and one out back. The road noise out front wasn't bad and did not detract from our lunch. We really enjoyed the food. My daughter had the margarita flat bread which was great, a lot of pesto on it. My wife and I split the Ruben which was also awesome and not at all greasy. We finished with the Oreo cheesecake and the triple chocolate cake. Both were very nice. read more

(And we ALL want clean). The menu selections are good sturdy American Comfort foods like your Grandma used to make! I had the Friday Night Fish Fry... NOT oily, but lightly buttered and crispy crust with impeccable moist haddock inside. Served with a scoop of Mac & Cheese and a ramekin of stewed tomatoes. Simply delightful.
