We had our nieces 21 birthday here yesterday and the experience was horrible. We had one person appointed for over 70+ people, no water on the table, plastic fork with regular plates appetizer and dinner all served at once to name a few. We had to ourselves close the lids for the dinner so people would wait to eat it until later and notify the guest which was appetizer vs dinner. The food kept running out and we had to wait 30 min for the second round of rice to come. People had no rice to eat with their dinner. When asked of the delay they said they had too many catering orders. Looks like they prioritize delivery vs in in house event orders. Although the food is decent this place is mismanaged and I would think twice before having an event here. We ended up calling the manager Raghu for a chat towards the end and he just listened to us and said will be back in 10 min and left mid conversation. If I could give lower than one star rating this would justify my visit here at Brundavan. Attended a birthday party and it was truly a nightmare. There was 1 person attending to a catering event for 60 guest. Let's start with what went wrong. First appetizers and dinner were both laid out together. When I asked they said this is how they do it on catering events and don't have enough people as they were overbooked with other events. The layout of food was hilarious had to ask them to rearrange where started with curries and rice and salad were the last thing you could get. Once items would run out you had to ask them every time to refill and they ran out of rice. A true nightmare for any host with a line of guest waiting for food. If this was not enough ran out of cutleries and they provided with plastic spoons.Unbelievable what an embarrassment. I just wished the night ended as soon as possible. What kind of business are we running here. Let's talk about Desserts omg. Desserts bowls ran out after 20 laid out bowls were done. Come on Brundavan step up you game. At least be average. There was not even a water jar or cups provided at the table. I just feel bad for the host. They are innocent soft kind hearted folks who couldn't handle the aggressive and loud mouthed Raghu who kept on blaming the owners and not taking ownership as the manager there. The menu had lots of veg and non veg options and some of the dishes looked really interesting so we decided to try it. In $51 (before tax and delivery) we got: - apollo fish 5/5 huge portion, aptly packaged, medium spicy and such a kick to it. I couldnt stop myself from over eating this. Loved it! The fish quality was good and it melted in our mouths. - peshawari chicken tikka 5/5 delectable and delicious juicy chicken pieces which are perfect appetizers. Comes with yummy green sauce chutney which was thick and huge quantity too. - chicken tikka masala 3.5/5 the gravy was delicious sohalf the battle was won here. i was hoping the chicken pieces will be similar to chicken tikka app but nope! Went there Sunday March 29.First of all the website say the buffet starts 11.30 got there exactly but was told 15 more minutes which is fine stuff happens. A lot of the common buffet dishes were available but a lot of the dishes that were served were cold and didn't tasted fresh.Price for the buffet is $25 which is normal for Bay Area. There's only two bread options a little more variety could be added. While eating the restaurant got busy the front person came up and asked us to pay the check which is okay I would love to but explain properly you came just for the bill and it's fine we can still enjoy our food but we were told the restaurant is pretty busy you have to pay the bill now making me feel like we gotta leave right now. Tried Brundavan for lunch and honestly, it was really good! This place is great if youre looking for a southern indian style restaurant! They have a variety of vegetarian and non vegetarian options to choose from. We ordered the Boneless Chicken Biryani and the Hyderabad Chicken 65, it was spicy, flavorful, and super satisfying. A friend had recommended we try those options and they were fantastic! The biryani came presented in a beautiful pot with onions and limes. Also tried the gobi cauliflower as a starter and it was crispy, spicy, and really well done. They gave us a free mushroom soup to start off with as well! The place itself is on the causal side and clean with comfortable booth seating.The service was great, our waiter explained how the dishes were prepared and answered any questions that we had. I say about three and half stars. Food is decent I did enjoy their samosas and they are pretty big its like three for 7 or 8 bucks. Not too bad. Just to let you know they only have veggie samosas. (TBH when it comes to samosas veggie is always better anyways). I did wish the garlic Naan was more garlicy. It tasted like a normal Naan to me. The butter chicken was decent, but the chickens texture was interesting, didn't know how to exactly describe it. But overall not too bad of experience here. I came here with a few of my coworkers for their lunch buffet. Food was delicious with a good mix of vegetarian and meat options. They have cooks who prepare I think fresh chapathi and will bring to your table. We got there not too soon after the buffet hour started so it was nice and quiet. There are plates and small bowls to put your items on. The bowls are nice for all the curry options. I also liked the small biryani station which is one of my favorite Indian foods. The food is quite interesting especially the "Brundavan Potlam Chicken Biryani", it tastes really good with all the flavors coming in at every single bite of the meat or rice, well prepared. Also the gobi (cauliflower)tastes good, but the quantity seems very less and it looks like the cauliflower has been fried too much because the size of it is very small. Also the Gongura Paneer Biryani is very interesting and has it own authentic taste to it. I recommend people this for sure specifically for vegetarians. The Gongura tastes like a tart flavor with addition of biryani flavors. Highly recommend to try "Brundavan Potlam Chicken Biryani" I Do NOT recommend trying Mutton Kofta Biryani unless you are fan of kofta. People who enjoys biryani's are mot going to like for sure. Hello! I am a regular at Brundavan and have always loved the place for its authentic Indian food and its great variety. However, I'm compelled to drop a 1-star review due to an extremely distressing experience last night. During my visit, I was subjected to a horrifying situation caused by another customer, which the restaurant allowed and entertained, leading to a highly unpleasant experience for me. A lady dining at the same time as me was nitpicking with the waiters and making various unrelated demands. Eventually, she didn't pay for her order as her card was declined. When the waiters were away, and as she was pretending to leave, she took unsolicited pictures of me and my food, and to my shock, she also passed racist slurs against Muslims. When I brought this to the management's attention, they swiftly intervened, but instead of addressing the severity of her actions, they merely shushed her out of the restaurant while I was still trying to get her to delete the pictures. This left me with very little time to react and process the situation. Although the management may not have known who she was, it is their responsibility to protect their customers from harassment beyond just removing the perpetrator to calm the atmosphere. Other folks waiting at the desk mentioned that this specific lady has harassed them at other locations and is a known troublemaker in the area. I did not take pictures of the incident out of goodwill for the restaurant, but I am deeply disappointed and confused by the lack of thorough questioning or answers provided. This woman took advantage of the fact that the staff were busy and not around. Despite calling for help from the table, nobody came around as they were busy. I had to walk up to a staff member to explain what was happening. She continued to take pictures of me even as I sought assistance. By the time the situation was addressed and she left, my food had been taken away for disposal to make room for other customers - in a rush. I urge the management to take prompt and decisive action to avoid entertaining such customers in the future and, if possible, report this woman to law enforcement if she is seen around again. I am concerned about the risk she poses to me given that I do not have access to her iPad and the pictures she took. Please take this feedback seriously and consider reserving the right to refuse service to customers who could potentially harass others. Thank you. We went here for dinner. Our order included peshawari chicken tikka, Goat haleem, Chicken Murgh Mushllam, garlic naans and tandoori rotis. They did not have the peshawari chicken so we went with pathar ka gosht as suggested by our server. I'm pretty sure it is supposed to be goat meat but we were clearly given lamb. The haleem was under seasoned. When we brought this to our server's attention he mentioned he had recieved various different feedbacks from customers throughout the day and still continued to serve the same dish.
