I've tried this 3 times in 3 months this year so I guess it's a three reviews in one. First time I go by Sunday morning the sign says open 930 today. That suks! But I parked anyways an looked inside, people prepping like normal. They saw me see them now I guess decided to open. Food was great, nice Coffee nice servers! I tipped! Second time around open on time Sunday morning , great food(salty salsa- maybe just me), nice coffee, nice servers, I tipped! Cafe seemed like an amazing place to eat due to high reviews. It was busy as I expected it to be on a Sunday morning. We arrived and were informed that there would be a wait for a table. Decided to stop here during the Vallejos Farmer market and was not disappointed. Although a bit small inside the food makes up for it. The French Toast combo was very filling and the service was quick and efficient. The food came out hot and surprisingly fast. Ontop of that when we got the bill we were even more satisfied with our meal totaling less than 30$ for big plates of food. This place deserves a chance. Try to overlook the fact that there is just no atmosphere whatsoever and that it is hidden in a strip mall behind a video store. Vallejo just doesn't have many independent family-style restaurants. So, give it a chance. Two of us had the beef fajita salad, and it was quite good. Better than the fancy pork chop I had at a fancy restaurant the day before. The meat was quite lean and flavorful Just right. The BF was still raving about his pork burrito late into the evening. Why have I not been here before? Just there last night and I liked it a lot! I had a chicken burrito, which was really good. Wouldn't say outstanding, but definitely good. The ''salsa verde'' was great. The portions are really big too. I'm surprised how inexpensive it is. I really enjoyed the variety in their menu. They had burgers, Mexican, pastas, breakfast. Had lunch here today for the first time, and I was great. I love the potato salad which I think is homemade, it certainly did not look or taste shop bought. Plenty of food on the plate could not finish and had to take some home. The young men working here were very polite and helpful and just delightful. Would go back again and take my friends, the only reason I did not give 5 stars was the decor was a bit tired but there was really interesting photographs on the walls. My kids and I try and visit this restaurant every Sunday after church service. They are so friendly and will stop and chat about current events, sports and to see if you're enjoying your meal. My teens love it - especially the big portions they give you. I'm a big fan of the potatoes and pancakes; so much that I've mastered the pancake batter and make them at home when I'm unable to get to Momo's.... This place is cozy. It's small, and the tables are set close together, but it doesn't feel cramped. The staff are great. They check in regularly without being overbearing and the owner (at least I assume him to be) has always been welcoming and friendly. I was ordering the French toast for my toddler when he stopped me and asked if I wanted a side instead. Thank goodness, because a side has 3 pieces... Just right! Came to momo's for the first time expecting to have a nice mother's day breakfast. Online and on yelp it said that they were open at 8 am for breakfast. We open the door at 9:30 am only to be turned down because they weren't ready. If 10 am is the normal opening time then they need to update that information. It didnt say it on their door either. Talk about G-H-E-T-T-O!!! I have never been to a Mexican place that is proud to be dirty. I went there with my husband a while back, and the food was good, I must admit that, but can they clean their dirty tables, chairs, cups, etc? I hear so much about this place, I tried it out, like I said, food is good, but you won't get my foot in the door and my cash anymore after not knowing how to clean your place! Yuck. This place is a gem in Vallejo.. Every time I bring someone with me to Momo's Cafe they are hooked. The food is A+ and full of flavor, the portions are very generous, and the staff is amazing! It is a small place, so you may have to wait about 10-15 minutes, but believe me, it's well worth it. Their French Toast is just....I have no words to do it justice. Their potatoes are cooked with chorizo, and are delicious. I come here at least one a week, which doesn't quite qualify as an addiction, but I may be headed there. read more

My husband and I were in Vallejo for an appointment. After his appointment we decided to grab some breakfast. Momo's came up when we googled breakfast spots in Vallejo. We sat down to order. We asked the server what was his recommendation because it was our first time in. Long story short we didn't get to order because he did not answer our question with any suggestions. He just said I'll give y'all more time. We didn't ask for more time. We asked for suggestions. I don't spend my money for bad service. Sorry Momo's we will soon be residents of Vallejo and we will make sure our friends and neighbors don't eat here. I don't recommend eating at Momo's. read more

Huge shout out to Momo's Cafe and their friendly staff. I placed an online order, and went to pick up. It was quick and overall great customer service and quality food. I ordered two waffle combos and two sides of country potatoes. The best potatoes ever. Everything was packaged separately and everything was in the bag including utensils. This is my go to place, had not been here in a while due to COVID-19 but was craving their food! The food is amazing and the staff as well!
