After an early casting of my ballot down the street,I sought out this spot for some heavy fuel to propel me through the day. This cafe has been here forever and about 15 years since I've eaten here . It used to be crowded throughout their breakfast and lunch operating hours. However,8:30 and I'm the only one here? I immediately feel on guard and ready to make a decision to leave before I have an average breakfast experience. The friendly waitress finally appears handing out menus and taking drink orders. I ask her if there's been a change of ownership and she responds "yes a new Partnership". At least she was honest. I've seen it a lot lately. These older traditional family run cafes changing hands due to retirement, death or fatigue. It's predictable as the once well oiled machine begins slipping. I decided to throw caution to the wind and give it a chance. I'm glad I did. They serve up a multitude of daily breakfast plates for $12+ dollars. Ours were decent but not memorable. I'm afraid these endangered species cafes are no longer in demand and slowly withering on the vine. However,if your in the area and want to fuel up for the day,I say... Go!

We were in Allen to try out another place but they were to go only and we were not aware. So instead we decided to check this place out since we passed it on the way to the other place. This appears to be a local spot that mostly carters to people in Allen. It gives a local only type of vibe by which I mean that everyone is friendly and even the people at the table beside us helped me decide what to get with their recommendations. The menu has all types of items for breakfast and lunch plus they have daily special dishes. There is a strong Mexican food influence on the menu so is great for when dealing with someone who can't decide what they want to eat. I ordered the cowboy chicken with scrambled eggs after our table neighbors recommended it. The chicken was cooked well and was still moist. The gravy wasn't the best I had but still enjoyable. Mixed with the bacon, eggs, and biscuit, it's not a meal you take lightly. Overall I enjoyed our visit and would go back again to try some other items.

This little cafe was a find. We went around 10am on a Saturday. It was quiet but there was a steady crowd coming and going. Service was excellent. Our food came out so fast. You must try the Mexican coffee, coffee ollla. DELICIIOUS!!!

We love Mom's! Always friendly and great service! Today we had the Mexican coffee (to die for). I had the enchiladas and my daughter had the breakfast burritos.

The owner changed at this restaurant so don't try to use the check in coupon. The servers were so sweet and attentive. The food overall was great as a hole-in-the-wall cafe style--very homey. The skillet was hearty with lots of hash brown. Dab it with some Tabasco and it will elevate the taste. The waffle was lovely with its crunchy outside and fluffy inside. The eggs were made just how I like it--over easy. The portions were big and the price was friendly. The restaurant was pretty booming for a Saturday morning, so that looked great.

My husband & I stopped in on a Sunday morning and it was packed but got seated immediately. Everyone was so friendly & warm welcoming. The food came quick and super hot! Super flavorful food, the bacon tasted 11/10. My husband ordered their 2 breakfast chorizo burritos and said they were in the top of his list for breakfast burritos!

The food here is so delicious, apparently I was the first person to order chocolate chip waffles but I appreciate them so much for adding them. The iced coffee is legit out of this world and it's $7 for a big cup of it (better than starbucks lol) I really recommend this place!!

First off the menu options are varied making it hard to choose just one entree. Did we want pancakes or French toast or biscuits....so hard. We were seated at the back of the restaurant, kitchen side and it was so fascinating to see meals as they were prepped to go out to patrons. Everything looked fresh, delicious, and made to order and the portions were definitely shareable. We started off with brunch cocktails and even received a comp croissant beignet appetizer which was absolutely amazing. They were flacky on the outside and butter soft inside with amazing Nutella dipping sauce. We decided to go with a green goddess salad with all the yummy veggies, French toast, and pancakes for the table. This is a great place to dine alone and with family, friends, or a brunch date. Its very farmhouse chic and cant what to go back and try more of the menu. They will always get a recommendation from me. First off the Chicken Fried Chicken was delicious prepared very well good flavor and very crispy. The gravy had a lot of flavor as well no salt or pepper needed. I order three eggs over medium the yolk could have been a bit more runny. I didn't care for the has because it did not have any potatoes in it. Service was good but did not knock my socks off. The restaurant is decorated very nice and had a good vibe. I ordered a second piece of sourdough toast which tasted great hence the reason for a second piece. The real home made jam made the toast. When the bill came I was charged $4.50 for a single piece of toast. This was a ridiculous amount for a single piece of toast it was more than my iced tea. Really $2.00 for a piece of bread toasted seems like a reasonable price. I just finished breakfast at another breakfast spot up on University. I really can't compare apples to apples except for the addition pice of toast. $1.99 for two slices of toast. Over all meal was priced fair. I just don't think I will be back here due to the prices.

I ended up getting the quesadilla off the kid's menu. Waitress said it was made with one tortilla. I should have asked how big a tortilla. lol It was very small. Too small, imo, for even a kid's menu. More like a toddler menu. Tasted okay. Came with fruit and hashbrowns. The fruit was very good and all of it was fresh. Loved the pineapple. Hashbrowns had a bad flavor-from the grease they squirt on the griddle to cook the hashbrowns and get them crisp. It tasted old. I love hashbrowns and order them a lot when ordering breakfast. I could only take a few bites. The hubs ordered a panini. It came with potato soup. I tried the soup and it was good, but needed more flavor. Probably just needed a tad more salt. Waitress was attentive and patiently waited for us to decide what we wanted. Would probably try this place again if we are back in the area and need a bite to eat.

Located in a never-ending strip mall in Allen, we walked in and got our name on the list. It was 11:30 am, so the early church crowd was coming in alongside us. We were told it would be about 30 minutes, but it ended up only being about 10. Inside, Sunview is loaded with Texas décor all over the walls. It feels pretty small, but they definitely take advantage of every corner of the space for seating with their booths and tables. The prices are pretty fair for a brunch spot. One thing that definitely caught me off guard was how many things were on their double-sided menu. It felt like a legal document with how extensive it was. It is definitely overwhelming, but I locked in and ordered a Meat Lover's Omelet. It's filled with bacon, sausage, ham, and American cheese. For my sides, I got hash browns and two pancakes, which is a steal for a $14 omelet. It wasn't long before the food came out, and I crushed the omelet. It needed some salt and pepper personally, but it was pretty good and hearty, especially with the pancakes as a side. The impression from my brother and sister-in-law was that they wanted to come back here often, and I'll probably find myself returning next time I'm in Dallas. RIYL: More meal options than seats at a restaurant.

We were looking for a good taqueria in Allen and found it here. This is a cozy place with about 10+ tables, playing Mexican music videos, etc. (but not loud enough to interfere with conversation). To try things out, we ordered their grilled cebolla/jalapeño combo, and 4 tacos -pastor, chorizo, barbacoa, & lengua (see photos). These are Mexican Street taco style with 2 corn tortillas. I tried the pastor, chorizo & barbacoa - they were all excellent! Served with onion, cilantro, lime slices and radish slices. Very high quality! I would be happy to eat any of them again, but would probably quadruple down on the pastor because it was just great (and I am a pastor fan - I am still in search of the El Tizoncito style al pastor tacos that you can find in DF, but until I do, these will keep me happy). While I can eat lengua (if I can't find pastor), but my wife is a connoisseur and she liked them (and messaged a friend about them). The Cebolla asados with jalapeños were amazing and an incredible value at ~ $2. We had no chance to try La Sirena (paleteria y fruteria), but it looked very promising. We will be back to try their breakfast offerings. We feel quite fortunate to have found this place.
