This is the first time going here I went with my siblings and at first it was busy and we waited but it's whatever it was new year's the coffee just taste like the usual coffee I had a cheeseburger and fries and it was really good and the server is cool and friendly. My devotion to mom is unwavering and will sustain for as long as the establishment exists in this plane. The gravy she serves could warm the cockles of any frostbitten heart that passes through. And I won't stop at the gravy -- the home fries hot and drizzled in the confetti of condiments offered at the counter made my belly sing. Can we talk about the Nashville Hot Sauce?! The blood red color that protruded from the bottle was perfect for the recent spooky season - intoxicatingly delightful and ghoulish-- and don't even dare getting me started on the taste-mmmmm!!! I feel it is necessary to make repeat visits to fully explore the breadth of cuisine offered. Will you roll down foothills of flapjacks? Will you submerge yourself in a seafood platter?! Will you soak in the emulsion of syrup and butter as you tip toe your tongue across waffles? Will you be screamin for scrapple, bustin for bacon, sashé-ing for sausage? Glad I found this spot! I was on the road and needed to stop for breakfast. My food was delicious- I had a traditional breakfast of two eggs, hash browns, rye toast and kielbasa. My mom's food was also great (I had to taste it) - she got a scrapple and cheese omelette. We're from the greater Philly area and we were so surprised to see scrapple on the menu! Even places in Philly don't make scrapple omelettes (they definitely should take notes from Mom's)! Totally recommend this spot! read more

I ordered 2 eggs scrambled, chicken fried steak with a choice of red eye or saw mill gravy, toast with a chose of white, wheat or rye. It was awesome, eggs fluffy, toast hot and buttery, and rich thick saw mill gravy over a freshly fried tender chicken fried steak. Tender homefried potatoes. Looking a round the dining room, noticed the waitress knew their regulars, topping off coffee mugs, but pause to get stories from the first timers like me. Great mixed crowd for Sunday morning breakfast. Washington should pay notice. This is America, diverse and laughing over a cup coffee and waffles. You want to go to Mom, o yes you do. read more

My husband picked us up breakfast here and the eggs were not scrambled as i had ordered, nor where they cooked. The bacon i ask for crispy i had to put in my own frying pan and cook myself because it was almost raw., the homefries were very hard. Horrible. If i wanted to cook myself i would have and not ordered here. Never plan on eating from here again. It use to be good its really went down hill. read more

We ate here for the first time this morning and it was mostly a positive experience. The ambiance is old school diner, just as the name connotes. The eggs, bacon, and hash browns were all top drawer. We loved that they had tater tots *and* breakfast potatoes *and* hash browns! They even had Old Bay for this Maryland resident. The service was very good; our waitress was very nice. The waffles, however, were undercooked. We were told after by someone else in the restaurant that their waffles used to be very good but had declined, for some reason, in quality more recently. But if they fix that, this place will be aces. read more

I had been waiting to try this place and for over three years kept forgetting. Finally, the time was just right. I walked in and ordered to go. The fast friendly staff was so kind and nice. As I waited I watched the non-stop plates moving from the kitchen. My order was ready within 15 min. Hamburger Steak dinner, Brocolli Cheese Caserole, mashed potatoes with gravy, a roll, a cheese steak sub and fries. Then in my face a carrot cake to die for. Unfortunately, I don't have a big sweet tooth but this thing looked amazingly delisious, next time Im getting dessert just cause. The food is usually cold or barley hot. So if you want a hot meal don't go here. I have been several times for various meals breakfast, lunch and dinner always the same cold barely warm food served. The staff is friendly although they tend to cater more to the regular customers that they know by name . They also seem to run out of things listed on the menu regularly you will try and order something only to be told they are sold out which leaves me to think the food is not cooked fresh it's just reheated and served. read more

Not very happy as of late. Breakfast cuts off at 11:00. That is a bummer b/c their breakfast is good, while lunch and dinner sucks. Think cafeteria food. It is that bad. Even worse, they wouldn't offer breakfast when there was TEN POUNDS of cooked bacon sitting on the counter top. That's just mean. Come before 11:00 or don't bother. read more

I really like this place but we went there during a pandemic when masks are mandatory. Not one person was wearing a mask. Not the waitress, cashiers, cooks, manager or customers. I asked the manager why not masks. He said one of the waitresses had COPD but none of the others needed to because they weren't working directly with the customers. How stupid does he think I am? All the people there were interacting with customers. Very disappointed with there lack of caring for there customers. Will not go back but will report to the health department. read more

Love this place! We stopped here for breakfast while enjoying a motorcycle ride through the countryside and national park. Great prices, great food, great service! The food was OK. Standard breakfast diner fair, with good prices. This place seems popular with the locals. The service was wonderful. The issue I had was when I was standing by the restroom waiting my turn. I was able to see behind the counter of the kitchen. On a low shelf (not refrigerated, or even looked like it was meant for food), there were 2 plates piled high with cooked bacon. The plates were saran wrapped, but still. They were sitting on some papers, and some cups and napkins dispensers were on the shelf as well. The bacon just did not belong there. We wanted some real home cooked Southern comfort food. We read the reviews on Yelp and decided to try Mom's Country Kitchen. We were delighted by the menu, which offered a nice selection. I had country fried steak and hubby had the turkey dinner. We were both very satisfied with our meals and cleaned our plates! We asked about the assorted deserts listed on the board. The server recommended blackberry cobbler, which we both ordered. It was warm with soft serve ice cream on top.
