This is one of Front Royal's hidden gems, and I mean that literally. It's tucked in a business complex behind the Rite Aid and the Weichert realty office. Unlike a lot of FR business, however, they are open EVERY day. Breakfast comes with tater tots--how wonderful is that? The food is hot, good, fast and cheap. I had the turkey Reuben yesterday (my 4th visit) and it was as good as any I've ever had. Liver & onions is good, too. Note of advice, the "strawberries" for the waffle are actually strawberry pie filling. Since I was hoping for fresh strawberries I was disappointed with that one. read more

Friendly service. Food exactly as expected. The pancakes were delicious. Loved the honey mustard and ranch dressing for the tenders.

Above average. No, it's not going to be the greatest meal of your life. But it will hit the spot at the price point we are talking about. Reasonably priced. Reasonable service (actually, above par for Front Royal). And, reasonably tasty for diner food. All in all, you could do worse. The trouble may be in finding it. After reading other reviews we decided to stop in for breakfast.... on first glance it was a plain jane dive. (Some of which are the best places to eat) on entry we found an over 70 club, with kind of not so friendly faces. When the waitress came over to get our drink order she informed us we were 8 mins late for breakfast. This was a shock to us as there was still a huge pile of homefries on the grill and not anyone else that hadnt already eaten in the place. We sucked it up and ordered. The burgers tasted good but were the size of $1 menu. The chili was warm lol and thats about all it had going for it. The tuna melt tasted like sysco canned tuna salad. On the plus side the waitress was nice and it was inexpensive. read more

I go here often now. I typically get a boring bowl of Oatmeal and a double order of Bacon. This place really knows how to cook Bacon. Once in awhile I'll get the Hearty Breakfast which is more than I need but it's very good. The two ladies that work there serving are both very nice. The people that work here a friendly and courteous. The breakfast is large and reasonably priced. We generally eat here twice a month, last week I took my nephew for breakfast and the cook made his pancakes shaped like mickey mouse and he was so happy ( he is only 3) had a great beginning to our day. If you are a liver and onions type you have to try that for lunch it usually sells pretty quick so get there early. The salisbury steak is very good as well. Can't beat the prices or hospitality. read more

Was a fantastic breakfast and then later turned into a great dinner. Had eggs, ham, homefries and wife had eggs and potatoes. Dinner had fish and wife the soup and a salad. We come down every year and always stop to see mama!!!! read more

Poor customer service, our food came out cold, I had to refill my own coffee, avoid this restaurant at all possible cost. We also had a 35 minute wait time to get our food and also took the waitress over 10 minutes to get to us to service us and she only had five tables. read more

Not the best place to eat breakfast. I ordered French Toast and was served 4 tiny pieces of white bread, soggy to eat and burnt with a little powdered sugar on top. I sent it back stating it was the nastiest French toast ever. The rest of our crew disliked their breakfast as well. $26.00 for 5 of us and 3 out of the 5 didn't have eggs, meat, hashbrowns or toast. One had a single waffle which tasted bad, then another one had 2 pancakes and I sent mine back for a single pancake. Next time it's L Dees or Cracker Barrel. Never again at Moms. read more

This place is awesome! Chicken salad sandwich is a must for lunch. The kitchen is open so you can see your food cooking. A very small town gem with the sweetest people you'll ever meet. Everyone who eats in there smiles at you and says hello. Dorris (the lady who worked at McDonald's, forgive me if I'm wrong.) is wonderful! So down to earth and probably the sweetest most sincere woman I've met. Love it! read more

Oh, this must have been an off day. The corned beef hash was burned, the eggs were cold. Couldn't eat this breakfast.

Love this place. A weekend fav for breakfast. Great food, what I have had, and fast friendly service even when they are swamped with crowds which is usually every morning. Have not had a bad meal yet. Always filling and satisfying. Prices for what you get are slightly below what you would pay at most other places in town for lesser amounts and quality.
