We decided to sit outside since it was a nice day. We ordered eggs Benedict and Tuscan breakfast and of course coffee. The Eggs Benedict was made just right with yummy hollandaise sauce. The Tuscan was yummy to it had feta cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, and I believe spinach, eggs on a slice of bread. I went out of the box with this one and it was delicious. If your in the area good check them out and if your up to trying something different for breakfast order the Tuscan is was delicious!

You can just tell that either they have so much business they don't care much about service or they're just not quite sure how to dial everything in to balance the front of house and kitchen delivery. If I have any specific suggestions to offer: tell your customers upfront about your kitchen wait times. Nobody wants to wait an hour for breakfast food. Make sure to follow up with your customers and ask them if they want anything else to drink besides water it seems like a really easy way to make extra money.

The inside is cute but be prepared to get cozy with only a small amount of space to sit. Thankfully, they also have some outdoor seating if you want to hang out and enjoy your pastry there. I went to have a late breakfast with a girlfriend of mine and our kids. The service was nice, but getting our meal took a bit. After our kids were done they went outside to stretch their legs and let their food settle. As my girlfriend and I were finishing, the man that took our order goes to clear the table that our boys used and notices that the little jelly/jam condiments that are placed with the other condiments at the table had a couple open that were not used. The server startst a tangent about "how seriously wasteful this action was", and "don't these kids know how this can effect our landfills", and, "they should have known better". Okay, first, two of our boys were curious as to what the jam tasted like (each opened one, totaltwo) and put it down on the table) they were curious about the look of the jam and the taste. It's called curiosity, right? Well the server goes on to tell my girlfriends older son to go get her youngest to come back into the restaurant to give him a lesson on being wasteful as well as wasting the restaurants money to boot.. Are you kidding me? This server has the nerve to scold her son out in the restaurant about these ridiculous jam packs and the "impact on world landfills that it has now caused and the impact on the restaurants bottom line." Mr. Server, you have a lot of nerve for talking to a patron of your establishment like this in the first place, because we just contributed a chunk to your pay check and bottom line plus a very nice tip and you are complaining about (2) unused jam condiment packs and the left over food they could not finish? Are you the leftover, wasteful food fairy today? Do us this pleasure and keep your opinions to yourself, and scold your own kids, you do not have permission to scold mine, let alone in front of other patrons. They don't deserve a star but you have to pick at least one. Horrible service here. They are not a very good place. They deleted my review so Im posting this again. We thought this was the same as a restaurant in Placerville and was so excited to eat here. What a MISTAKE! Horrible service. We walk in around 10:30, there were only eight tables filled with patrons, the women had us waiting for a seat for 10 minutes before we were seated. We ordered our food and waited and waited and waited, she never came back around once she took our order. NOT EVEN ONCE. Waitress kids were running around the restaurant like it was a daycare. The kids didn't bother us, it was the part that she never even came around to check on us. Come to find out, she never even put our order in. Mind you, they only had eight table with customers. As we were waiting we over heard the table of 5 having problems with their order and they were fixing that, plus other unhappy customers waiting for their food. This was after we were waiting about fifteen minutes. Stay away from this place if you want to eat anything. we ended up walking out because they are so slow and the horrible service. Didn't even offer any apology really. Never got to try the food. Horrible customer service. I think the woman owned the place too, which makes it even worse because there were no apologies. I just moved to auburn and was lookiing for a cute place to go where it's friendly and nice homey feel. Me and my boyfriend were driving around the area to see what was around. We stumbled upon mom's kitchen we thoiught the name was nice so we decided to try it out. As soon as walked in the door we were greeted with smiles. Our server was very sweet and efficent and made us feel like home which I thought was very nice even the back of the servers shirts said "Where your treated like family" and that they did. The food was awesome . It was suggested that I should try a gyro so I did and I was very happy I chose to. This is my boyfriend and I new place to eat . Mom's kitchen will be reopening June 2026. We are the new owners and are excited to bring you back classics like Eggs Benedict and biscuits and gravy. Polishing up the kitchen and setting up our new espresso bar is just one of the exciting things coming in the future. The restaurant will be diner style while honoring the same Moms from placer County and Sierra foothills. The owners cook and are serving. The wife is so lost she has no people skills. And the husband cook is a rude person that I heard him talking to customers in a bad way. They are pretty slow. When we were there they only had two other tables waiting for food and they forgot one table (ours) kids running around all over as well. The other table, they got their food order wrong. I heard that Mick has sold the restaurant when I went by there today and there was a construction crew doing renovation. They told me the owner has sold the property which breaks my heart. The older lady waitress has no people skills and the place is a bit dirty, glasses are old and dirty and the pancakes are pretty hard, the gravy is horrible tasting. This place needs little help, better cooks and get rid of the waitress. By the way, the restaurant was empty yet it still took 30 minutes to get our food. read more

We used to go to Dennys. The food at Mom's is TWICE AS GOOD as anything you'll ever get at Dennys. Excellent eggs and bacon, friendly staff., plus you're supporting a local business rather than a corporation. My only complaint is that the coffee refills aren't quick to come, which is why I only gave them four out of five stars. Highly recommend. read more

Well, no disappointment here! It was on a Thursday morning- people were there eating, more then kept coming since it's almost lunch time. The server gal is super sweet, prompt, and came back plenty of times asking if everything is alright! I had the hot Reuben sandwich with a cup of their clam chowder while my husband had the fish and chops and a bowl of clam chowder. LOVE the soup! Nice balance of creaminess, taste and enough clams! Filling and satisfying on its own. The sandwich was also tasty- enough that I had to bring back half to take home. Husbands fish and chip which was on their special of the day was a bit disappointing- he said wasn't as tasty as he hoped and could have been a better serving size. Overall, nice place to have breakfast or brunch; cute place to chow down since liking at everyone's else's food- serving size it quite hefty! Yay! Definitely coming back more often!

I don't know what was going on back there, but the servers barely made rounds to our table, didn't even ask us if we wanted coffee, and when we asked one server to check on our food. All she said was "it would be out soon" and we heard that for the next 10 minutes each time we asked. The restaurant itself seemed pretty clean although the bathrooms definitely could use renovation. You can just tell that either they have so much business they don't care much about service or they're just not quite sure how to dial everything in to balance the front of house and kitchen delivery. If I have any specific suggestions to offer: tell your customers upfront about your kitchen wait times. Nobody wants to wait an hour for breakfast food. Make sure to follow up with your customers and ask them if they want anything else to drink besides water it seems like a really easy way to make extra money.

Our Friendly Friends of Lincoln has met at Karens for many years. We love the variety of delicious…read morefood and we love the friendly service. They always accomodate if we show up with more than expected. Mang and Bonnie always make us feel welcome and often do a raffle for jewelry!. This is a breakfast and lunch cafe where you always feel comfortable during top hours, but could easily settle in with a computer to work or write in quieter times.
