They have a walking track upstairs, there is a nutritionist on the property for consultation, they have classes and I think lunch for the elderly. When my kids were younger I practically lived at the Y because I was there 6 days a week. My kids are adults now and it's nice to be able to go to a class now for me. Membership isn't expensive either. I really am blessed to live within walking distance to my Y and it's a very nice facility.

However, as we continued, each lesson was with a different instructor, and that lack of consistency made my son increasingly uncomfortable. At his age, familiarity matters, and it became clear he wasn't settling in the way I had hoped. What ultimately led me to write this review, though, was not the instructors--it was the customer service. My interactions with the scheduler/representative regarding scheduling, missed days, and invoices were unpleasant and rigid. There was very little kindness or willingness to work with me, and the communication felt cutthroat rather than supportive. Because of this inflexibility, my son essentially missed out on continued lessons. Instead of working with me as a parent trying to navigate life with two young kids and a disabled husband, I felt pushed out over a missed appointment. In retrospect, I now see how much that experience negatively impacted my son's relationship with the water. I'm writing this while watching my son thrive at Water Wings, where he is happy, confident, and excited to learn. Seeing the difference has made me realize just how behind he became due to how things were handled at Aqua Buddies. Thankfully, there are other options in this city. We attended an open house there over the weekend and watched all sorts of demonstrations of the types of classes and things this facility offers. We also learned that there will be a push to increase teen memberships in the next few weeks so stay tuned if you're a teen looking for a great deal. That said, the staff working the front desk needs to be a bit friendlier, they seem bothered when you ask them a question and give the general aura that they don't want to be there. But I'm confident the dead weight will get cut as this facility continues to improve! Overall, this is the kind of place to go to make sure families are staying active and healthy together, and it will only get better and better as more people join.

They require full payment upfront, and after I booked, I exchanged numerous emails with them to confirm my lifeguard reservation. I was repeatedly assured that they had plenty of lifeguards available in my area and that there would be no issue providing coverage for my event. The day of my daughter's 8th birthday party, the lifeguard was a complete NO-SHOW. Many of our guests attended specifically because they were told a lifeguard would be on duty around the pool. Not only was this a major safety concern, but it was also incredibly embarrassing. I felt like I had misled my guests, despite doing everything possible to confirm the service beforehand. If you are planning an event and need a dependable lifeguard service, I would strongly encourage you to think twice before booking with this company. My experience was extremely disappointing, stressful, and unprofessional.

The woman who gave me the tour was warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind. What caught me off guard was how quickly a simple tour turned into setting up a FAFSA account and discussing a $17,000 student loan. I remember thinking, Wait...I just came to look around. For me, $17,000 is a lot of money for a massage program--especially when that's on the higher end of tuition. By the time interest is added, you could easily end up paying well over $20,000. That's not a decision anyone should make in one afternoon. I also expected a little more for that price. The facilities weren't bad, but they weren't exactly new or high-end either. If you're charging premium tuition, I'd expect a campus that reflects it--or at least a location that feels a little more upscale. With the economy the way it is, I also wonder about taking on that much debt for a career in an industry that's often considered a luxury expense. My advice: take the tour, ask questions, then go home and think about it. Don't let anyone rush you into borrowing $17,000.
