Cool staff, decent facility needs some upgrades compared to other facilities, great cycling and strength training instructor Jon.

Nice facility. It might not be as big as the Torrance area, but they do have a lot to offer in the community. The only problem in this location is the parking. It can be challenging sometimes and the location. There are only certain directions you can enter, as it's located in a busy Main Street. Other than that, they have excellent programs for the whole family.

I've been a member of the Y for a year now and I have to say I love this place. This location has three small work-out rooms, one with the basic gym equipment, like treadmills & elliptical chairs, another room is the "20 minute work out-room", which has around 10 machines and finally a weight room for all those muscle men. Plus they have a basketball court adjacent to the main workout room. But what I absolutely love about this place is the indoor pool, which always has lanes reserved for lap swimmers. Also they have a lifeguard on the premise, which gives me some sort of comfort, in case of an accident. However, what makes this place amazing are the employees because it's a small location, you get to know most of them. The ladies in the reception desk are my favorite, always amusing and ready to help. If you're thinking about joining the Y, stop by and pick up a seven-day trial pass and take it for a test drive.

Friendly environment for both adults and children because there's things for the whole family to do! while parents work out, they get to leave their kids in childwatch for a max of two hours. Kids 5/6 and up get to go to a exercise program with a coach and they really enjoy it! Every last Friday of the month is movie night in childwatch. Staff are very friendly and do their best to watch interact with everyone. There's also kids Zumba, karate, swimming lessons and jr Lakers & seasonal camp (summer camp, winter camp) and going away camps available for the kids. One of our most popular fitness classes is Zumba with the instructor Juan! He's a great instructor teaching Monday through Friday evenings! If you ever get a chance to take his class, don't miss it! He will get you sweated out by the end of the hour. Other good classes to take are Don's abs& core which gets your abs suuuuper sore!!! It's pretty intense! If you want to work on abs this is the class for you! Strength training with Jessica on Monday evenings is also one of those hardcore classes! She helps you work on everything. The class title pretty much sums it up. It's strength training! We do a lot of weights and ab/arm/legs toning and also have a good portion of cardio. I've also seen a lot of senior classes such as sit n fit, I believe there's a Zumba for them as well.. And some sort of pool class too! Trainers are always available to answer questions and available to book for an appointment at the front desk. The pool is pretty big and has separate lap lanes for lap swimming. Pool temperature is warm so that's a plus and lifeguards always on duty. Also! New remodeled Youth Development Center is going to get computers and a wii game system for the older kids to come and have somewhere to do hw or be active. Friendly staff throughout the whole facility. It's just a great environment to be in.

Paying $10 a month to play Pickleball where you can play for free at other facilities is absurd.

The instructors are great but the "facility issues" they experience needs to be fixed. Offering just a make up class is okay but monetary compensation would be nice considering people waste time and gas to only receive a text 5 minutes before their lesson starts saying that it is canceled. This is very frustrating.

There was a billing issue at the start of the year but the owner/manager worked with us immediately to resolve it so we opted to stay and I'm so glad we did! My daughter who is 6 enjoys her weekly sessions. I booked two classes back to back because it's just better for us for her to have longer times in the pool since we don't live close to this school. So far it has worked out great. I also like that the facility opened in September 2025 (which was when we first joined) so it's still new and things are still kept clean. I like that my daughter gets to swim with different instructors every now and then because I believe each one has their own techniques and way of swimming that might click for some kinds and not others. The only way to know is to actually try it! My daughter knows how to swim now but we still go here every week so that she can work on her form and technique. I anticipate this to be a multi year activity for my daughter. Cheers!

Then I joined the swim team. The coaches at this place are the best I could have had. Very effective. The pool area is... typical urban. Not a place to vacation. During open swim, kids pee, there is grease on the top of the water, and sometimes weird things are found. Like poo, twix bars thrown in to masquerade as poo, and one time a raw squid. No Joke. The locker room is smelly, and I would really avoid showering here. Park bathroom, anyone? The upside is that this place is cheap beyond cheap. 25 cents to get in for open swim, and 45 a month for swim team every day of the week for 2 hours. Nice deal
