Eric's quote was reasonable, well thought out and easy to understand. Of the 4 bids I requested, Wire Genie came in the middle in price but Eric was heads and above in his consideration and scoping of the task whereas many other installers seemed to be guestimating effort. Eric had a number of helpful suggestions both from camera positioning to running lines for future use and he did a phenomenal job on running a POE Doorbell camera behind brickwork and only needing one access cut that, at his suggestion, we put a 2-outlet blank faceplate over for future access/maintenance if needed. All cables were carefully labeled and terminated into my server rack patch panel. Awesome work!

Eric is now that guy for me with networking. My home has never had good internet. It was built before internet was much of a thing, it's stone, has radiant barrier, outdated connections, nonstandard shape, etc. I prepped Eric for these challenges among others and told him I had very high standards. He was undeterred and we set up a consultation. Eric had to have really impressed me, as I let him drill through stone which is highly uncharacteristic of me. I now have rock solid WiFi both inside and outside my house ~600Mbps for an extended distance and constant speeds over Ethernet even faster than that. I highly recommend Eric to bring an old home up to modern technological standards.

I moved to town June 2021. I asked three places to install my theatre. At least one place told me I wasn't a "high dollar thus as valued customer". I remember those places, always. I called Empire and within 5 days they had a wonderful gentleman come over and give me an estimate. Side note, all stereo places prefer you buy their equipment before they install it. Empire did all my installation needs within one month and didn't complain that I only bought cheap ceiling speakers. The whole job was on par for pricing and the amount of work was well done and quick. Finally, I have Control4 so they were able to automate my theatre experience. I have had one issue, my router went down and for some reason the receiver I bought in NC lost it's IP information. While I had to pay for the service call, Empire had someone out within 4 days and not only was it fixed within 10 minutes, the installer showed me how to fix it! In summary, if you want good AV (Audio / Video) equipment and installation for your home in a timely manner, reasonable prices, and by good people, give these guys a shout. You'll be very happy you did.

Three years ago, Elite Touch installed a Sonos Sound Bar and added a few cable/power drops. They…read moredid great work, so naturally we called them again to do similar work in our media room. This time, total fail. Here's a quick summary of our most recent experience: --Untimely and inaccurate quote. --Poor planning and execution of job. --Inadequate scheduling. --Poor expectation setting. --Terrible, disrespectful customer service. --No response from owner if you complain. Here are the details if you're interested: The installer came out to review our job with us on a Thursday, but we had to call them back the following week to ask where the estimate was. The receptionist ("Shavon") told us he neglected to turn it in, and she had to contact him to get it. It was a reasonable quote--about $389 for labor, and $1500 for a sound system and materials. We have no idea that this quote was completely inaccurate, and in Shavon's defense, neither did she. We scheduled the job for 2pm on a Friday. The installer arrived around 2:20pm, then took approximately 20 mins to get his gear upstairs. It was close to 3pm before he really started to work. He then explains to us that "there's no way" he could finish "such a big job" in a couple hours, and that he'd have to come back next week to finish it b/c they don't work on weekends. What big job? How is $389 of labor a big job?? Naturally, this was totally unacceptable for us. Here's why: 1. We expected this job to be finished the same day it started. No one ever gave us any indication otherwise. Nothing written on a quote about it being a multiple day job, and no second date was scheduled. We NEVER would have agreed to someone tearing up our media room (holes in our walls, wires everywhere) and leaving it to sit, unfinished, for the entire weekend. 2. We expected they'd know exactly how much work needed to be done, and sent the correct crew to get in done in the time allotted. Instead, this installer acted as if 2-3 of our key requirements (very clearly explained to him when he did the quote) was a total surprise. Now all of sudden, this is "a big job" and our original estimate wasn't accurate. First, I called the owner, Will, to complain about this and see if there was a way to get this finished before he left. I left 2 voicemails and an email, and I never got a call back. (Still haven't, btw). Then I called Shavon, and that's where it all fell apart. She actually blamed ME for scheduling the job so late, and acted as if I should know $389 worth of labor would span over multiple days. On top of that, she was absolutely nasty to me. I don't care how upset a customer gets (and I admit to being really pissed)--no customer should ever be talked to like she talked to me. No apology, no regret, no admission of mistakes, no concessions of any kind. All I got was attitude and blame.I fired them instantly, and told her to get her installer out of my house immediately. No company that disrespects me gets my money. Period. Bottom line: I think Elite Touch is good company. They have (and did) do good work for us. If they had set our expectations correctly, and then treated me respectfully when I complained, this review never would have happened. Elite Touch, you lost a loyal customer today.

The prices were reasonable, their office manager was extremely responsive to questions and with helping me get the quote updated to my exact spec. I was able to get on their calendar within 2 days of the initial contact. The technician was knowledgeable, friendly and fast and he left the house as clean as he found it. Billing was an easy follow up as well. It really couldn't have been more effortless. They have many residential services, from big to small. I would definitely use them again.

Really great experience (from start to finish) working with this family-owned company! When I say…read morefamily-owned, I mean that Mary, her husband, and their son will come to your house to install your new system. That level of family-owned. First and foremost, Mary has fantastic communication. When I initially sent my quote request, she responded quickly and thoroughly. Throughout the process, I had multiple questions (new to this), and she took the time to carefully reply to each question via email. This level of responsiveness is super important to me especially when it's a field I'm not knowledgeable in. There are a lot of moving parts when alarming a house and it was important that I understood exactly what we were getting. Her team did a great job installing our new security system. Everyone was very nice and professional. They took the time to explain everything and asked our input (regarding placement, etc.) whenever necessary. Mary carefully went through everything in the app to get me set up and familiar with the interface. They were also very respectful of our home -- offering to either remove shoes or put on their own shoe covers (we're a shoe-free household with small children so this is important to us). I also really appreciated how customizable everything was. There are so many different options that are offered with the security system (including a lot of automation like locking doors and controlling lights, etc. that we weren't actually interested in). If you're a newbie like me, I'll break down the basic security options. It helps to have some understanding of what's available before you get started. I was a little overwhelmed but Mary was helpful in answering my questions. Anyway, you've got a keypad that controls your alarm system (arm/disarm). You can do that via app (even if not home) or key fob. Then you've got your various sensors. Obviously, the door open sensors are a must. They'll trigger the alarm if someone opens the door (when armed) and is unable to enter the proper disarm code. Then you've got the option of installing window open sensors. There are also glass break sensors (generally, one per small room or two for large rooms) that will notify you if a glass break is detected (or if house is armed, set off the alarm). Finally, you've got motion sensors (these are automatically turned off when you arm your system in stay mode versus away). Assuming you'll wire the doors, you need to decide if you want glass breaks and if so, whether they will cover full home or just most vulnerable areas; if you want window sensors and if so, on all or some windows (might depend on your window type and vulnerability to window being manually opened and whether glass breaks might be sufficient); and whether you want motion sensors and which areas you want them to cover. I'd recommend doing some preliminary research/planning on how these tools might fit your home and what coverage is necessary versus overkill. It depends on your layout, etc. Next, you've got cameras. They offer WiFi-based cameras (operated through alarm.com) and standard wired cameras. Video doorbells too. We replaced our Ring with their doorbell cam to centralize our camera controls. You can have everything controlled through the alarm.com app for convenience. The app is great -- very user-friendly. Anyway, there are a lot of other options available as well that I didn't even delve into. Thought I'd share the basics to get you started. Don't hesitate to use this company! They offer free in-person consultations and fantastic service -- professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and responsive. Oh and their rates seem reasonable and competitive. Very pleased with this experience as well as our new alarm system! BIG THANK YOU!
