My wife and I stopped in for lunch around 1:30 on Wednesday. I had a super gyro (lots-o-meat), she had the pizza pocket special, both with fries. Both were hot and large, she also received a hot chocolate chip cookie with the special. The staff was friendly and enthusiastic in this family oriented business. Not a lot of inside seating, but they seemed to do a lot of take-out business. Sodas are sold by the bottle. Very reasonably priced. We will definitely be back for more.

Today's special, Gyro w/FF and a bev. I asked for grilled onions and had no issues with the special request.

The bread was incredible and the beet ricotta was so unique. I loved the salad which had an apple puree and blue cheese - flavors paired perfectly. The splin was excellent and the duck was good. We aren't huge duck fans but the duck leg and duck sausage were decent! Dessert had a great cherry flavor. Overall, super impressed by the food and top-notch service. Wine selection was excellent as well. Our only knock was that we were seated close to the door, so we had a few chilly moments! But worth it for this meal.

The only way to get a table is to book far in advance through Instagram. Also keep in mind everything I'm about to talk about below may never be on your menu as it's different every week. First course was a tartine featuring sardines, pickled fennel, and kalamata olives. A salty, but bright dish that finished with a subtle licorice spice. Second course was a lentil salad with cooked lentils, pickled celery, roasted fennel, lemon juice, goat cheese, and quick fried lentils on top to add a surprising crunch. My favorite of the courses. The acid from the lemon juice and the fat from the goat cheese was heaven on earth. Third course was a bouillabaisse of monk fish, pearl onions, and potatoes in a salty and savory, saffron tomato sauce topped with small dollops fresh aioli. Fourth course was an entire sole done so perfectly it melted in your mouth, covered in a lemon tarragon cream, and sprinkled with bread crumbs. Fifth course was a Paris-Brest filled with praline cream, spotted with sunflower seeds then dusted with powdered sugar. A very light and delicate end to a wonderful meal. This was more than just a dinner out on a Saturday night, it was an experience to be shared with your best friends or a romantic partner. My ONLY wish is for a wine pairing with each dish as an optional menu upgrade from the set price.

Food: Wow!! We ordered 3 entrees to share amongst 3 people- "medium" spice level- and each was perfect! We even had extra to take home. My favorite was the tempeh. I didn't know how much potatoes are used in Indonesian cooking. This Irish girl appreciated that! Each of the 3 dishes included potatoes in some way and each were different and delicious. Cocktails: I ordered the Long Island Thai Tea and it was too strong for me so a friend drank it, and said it was awesome, and I happily returned to Diet Pepsi. I'm not really a drinker. It looks like there is a performance space next to the dining room, so I'm guessing there might be music or karaoke nights here? I'm totally going to check out that option as that would be a blast. With a City Tin discount coupon in hand we popped in early on a Friday evening. Good thing we were early because it was pretty full soon after we arrived. It appears you can call for a reservation which we will do next time. After ordering a beer and after the kind waitress gave us instructions on how to see the full menu through a QR code we placed our order. (They do have a physical menu but that is the short version - more is on-line. She did say that to get to the QR menu is complicated and she was right - thus the coaching session!) I saw from one of the reviews a recommendation on the Krakatoa Chicken so I ordered it. The presentation is not unlike fajitas with a smoking hot plate of lightly fried chicken, onions, carrots and mushrooms brought to the table. The server then poured on the sweet sauce and the steam enveloped the restaurant. Quite the show and it was delicious. My wife got the Bakmi Jahe noodle dish, which was on the short menu, and very tasty and a huge portion. Prices were reasonable for the portions and the quality. We will definitely return.
