Classic Hot rod themed diner is awesome. The artwork on the walls is almost worth a visit alone. Very clean little roadside diner, plenty of seating, and if you leave hungry its your own fault. Got the Blown Hemi Deluxe burger and it was HUGE!!! More than a handful and way more than a mouthful. The patties are well seasoned and the bacon was cooked perfectly. Veggies on the burger were fresh and flavorful which is a rarity these days. The fries are awesome and they have awesome ice cream as well. Stopped by for lunch as we headed home from camping. Fantastic service! Accommodations for our dog on the patio as well! You must order the fresh cut fries- my husband and I fought over them!! I wanted to steal a bottle of the fry sauce! Although they did have gluten free buns, the burgers weren't great. I may be a snob, but hand a handmade patty would be a amazing! While passing through Wenatchee, I read the reviews for this place and it seemed like a great place to stop for a burger. It's definitely got a fun ambience, but that's where the greatness stops. While waiting to order, we watched the person at the counter serve an ice cream cone, watched as it fell over, ice cream side down on the serving counter, and watched as the person set it upright and gave it to someone to eat. That was the first indication that this place wasn't going to live up to the hype. While ordering, the cashier gave me a lot of attitude that all I was ordering was a burger. "That's IT?" Then the food took a long time to come out. The food: Very thin burger that wasn't very exceptional. And mine came with onions that I specifically asked to be excluded. Ok fries. This place was a quiet and cool oasis for us on a hot summer day. My husband and grand daughter had the cheese burger deluxe special. They both raved about how good it was. I had the spicy burger, I think it was called The Hot Rod. It was spicy but not blow your eyebrows off hot. The burgers are preformed, but cooked well and the topping produce was really fresh and tasty. The grilled jalapeño on my burger was perfect. We shared a fry order, which was plenty for three. The fries are lightly coated and crispy. I saw there was a fresh cut option on the menu too. I would recommend this place for a good, sloppy burger that is a good value for the money. We stopped into this clean and friendly restaurant on a whim. What a great place! Our meals were delicious & way more than we could eat! We fed our family of 5 (with two growing,teenage boys) for $60, including a decent TIP! Our food was hot, fresh, and delicious. I would come back for the food, but I will go out of my way to come back because of the warm friendly service! If you are in the area, give these folks a try... You won't be disappointed! read more

Three stars were for the fries and onion rings. Hand cut fries deserved some credit and even though the onion rings were a tad greasy the coating was light and crispy. Could have used more garlic on the garlic fries. If I was to rate the burgers alone I would give two stars. Only able to eat slightly more than half - was way too salty. The wife barely made it halfway. The patties were thin, dry, and a bit chewy. I doubt they make them fresh. If your going to compete with Wenatchee eateries you're gonna need to kick it up a notch. read more

This restraunt was very cute in decor but sadly to say the food wasn't good.:( we asked if the meat was fresh or frozen patties. They said they are not frozen. When we got our hamburgers the meat was frozen :( this place could have a lot of potential but sadly if you go halfway on your meat then honestly it's not worth spending your buck on crappy meat. Other reviewers have raved about the fries and sauce, they were spot on. So delicious. Loved the grilled chicken sandwich, very flavorful with a mouth watering sauce. it was ok....the fry sauce was awesome. My son ate the El Camino in about 1 minute, so it must have been good. I had the halibut burger, and they should us the fish from their fish n chips on the burger, not the round processed one. The onion rings were good. read more

Stopped in on a Saturday night to find the place almost empty. The service was really warm and friendly and while we were ordering, a customer came up to tell the cook how awesome the food was, which was encouraging. The price for a family of 4 was an awesome deal and I can not compliment the food enough. Easily the best and freshest burgers in the valley. The fries were addictive and everything was just so damn fresh. We've been telling anyone who will listen that they need to go and try it. I don't know why this place wasn't PACKED on a Saturday night, but I know that the word will spread. I had no idea what to expect from a place called "Hot Rod," but I heard the fries were good. It was so much more. Bless the...owner? lady for how she treated us! I am diabetic, and my blood sugar dropped. She got a fan and trained it on me, as I was having cold sweats, got me a good chair, and made sure I got a free sugared Pepsi, which fixed me right up. Even so, I was enjoying the hell out of my burger! Nice meat, good crispy toasted buns, and fresh veggies. Delicious. Later, we had delicious Umpqua shakes. I felt like family there. Had heard about this place and decided to stop in while in Wenatchee. It particularly interested myself because I have a classic car. Chatted with owners about Friday night car cruise in they have. The attitude, language and rudeness of the owners and employees I would never bring my car over there. If they dislike running their business and don't like their customers along with the hot rods are a bother at their place, then shut your restaurant down. Did not even order after this. The burgers we ordered were better than average and the fries were excellent. The milkshakes were perfectly blended. Service was a bit slow, but the restaurant was breaking in a new cook, so I expect that things will be a little quicker in the future. Figure $10/diner and you'll have a pretty fair estimate of what you'll pay for a very good meal. We'll stop again when we visit the area, for sure. read more
