Baron is the man! He is extremely busy, so be sure to book your appointments with time. I was super lucky, I called over the phone and got in the same day (literally minutes later) so that he could do my tragus and rook piercing in between one of his tattoo appointments. Baron made sure to explain the piercing's care routine and even told me about and gave me one of the sea salt/tea tee oil sprays. One of my rings fell out and he replaced it as soon as I came back in without a problem. He is a charismatic guy and all of his clients in the room also seem to love him. Piercing Review This place is in a strip mall near Manchester and Florence/Aviation (Inglewood people get this lol). When you drive up, you don't see the place; you have to park and walk through to the back area, but there's a sign in the front. You don't have to make appointments for piercings; you walk in. I took my little sister to get a septum piercing because he friends recommended this place. We walked in, and the place wasn't busy on a Sunday, and Baron was quick. She's not good with pain at all, and she loved her new piercing. We were done within 20 minutes. He also offered us aftercare for the piercing. It's optional but recommended. The price was reasonable--$ 50 for the septum piercing. There are cheaper places, but you must think about infections and whatnot. I will recommend this place to family and friends. read more

Came for a walk in appointment a few months ago for a re-piercing. It went quick handled carefully and was inexpensive!

Y'all! Omgoodness. Top tier. TOP TIER. Ok? I got the best (and cleanest) two tattoos I have ever had in life from this shop. Come here. Location - centrally located and very easy to get to (it's in the shopping center right when you make that right turn off of Florence onto Manchester). Parking was free and I had no issue finding a parking spot. Finding the actual shop amongst the other shops was pretty easy -- just get onto the walking path and walk it to the rear of the center and you'll run right into it. Cost - very fair and reasonable. No complaints there. He was upfront about the cost at the outset, as opposed to some of these artists who hide the ball as far as their fee structure and costs. Anyway, fair and reasonable is my verdict. Artist - both of my tattoos were by Baron, who was real chill (and ladies: very good looking and charismatic--sis, for additional commentary on the subject, just dm me lmfao). Anyway, he's very down to earth, calming, and really gentle. I barely felt the one behind my ear! Barely (*donna goodeau voice). On top of all of that, he was extremely precise with the lines on my tattoos, both of which are pretty dainty, which requires really good hand control. Clearly, he has excellent hand control because the precision on both of my tattoos is GIVING! I am so happy with both of them--they're literally perfect. I've never been happier with a tattoo. I was searching for a tattoo shop local to me and everyone I found was either booked up, rude, overpriced or all of the above. This was my first REAL tattoo and I'm not good with needles. Your girl came in Saran Wrap and numbing cream ( told you I'm scared of needles) he smiled, made me feel at ease and prepped me. The process was smooth and professional. Called ahead for piercing. The piercer advised me that gold was better than surgical steel and that I should utilize it for a nose piercing. The cost for surgical steel is $40 and $60 for gold. I agreed and was ready to proceed. However, he nor the other workers were wearing masks. I asked if he was willing to wear a mask during my piercing and his response was, "if it's a big deal to you, then yes." Wow!!! Considering all the COVID related deaths, you would think he'd A) already be wearing a mask and B) would go out of his way to make me comfortable. This completely turned me off and I left. Not wearing a mask at SUCH a sensitive place of business during a pandemic is careless and reckless! I am disappointed. read more

I had one of the greatest experiences. The place and artist were highly recommended and he did not disappoint. Baron is personable, funny and quick witted. From the moment we walked in we had a good time. The place is like a hidden gem, in an almost hidden corner. We were greeted, consulted on what I wanted and decided to wait as he was tattooing someone. He managed not only to carry a conversation with the client but included everyone there in it. I observed him sanitize, change gloves and clean work are after every client and consultation. I got a dainty tattoo on my forearm- a rose with the words be brave as the stem. Baron has a light hand so there was only very minor discomfort during shading. The conversation and joking between my husband, Baron and other walk ins almost made me forget I was getting inked. It was very pleasant to see the conversation carried naturally throughout our time there. I also repierced my nose and a labret. He was so careful and gentle that I felt the smallest amount of pain. That was great considering scar tissue. He provided me with care instructures for both piercings and tattoo and advised what to stay away from. All are healing nicely. Quick and friendly service. Came for a nose ring and left happy. I took out my old ring to switch to another one and found out it wasn't real and was just gold plated. I knew immediately because my piercing started to swell, but no worries for me because Monkey Face Tattoo came to my rescue! I called first to see if he had rings and said that he only had one. DO NOT COME HERE!!! The owner, Baron Davis is SO rude and doesn't take constructive criticism....even though it's MY TATTOO. He rushed my tat and it looks horrible. The lines are crooked and tat paint came off!!!!! I got a small tattoo (which was overpriced) and it's not neat and did not come out how I liked it at all. He has this attitude as if he's the best tattoo artist ever and no one can tell him anything. He says he has a lot of years of experience but people half his age and half his years of experience do better jobs than him. There's small lines/designs and they are ALL crooked. Afterwards he said no refund and he could fix it, but how do you fix crooked lines? I do not recommend this place at all especially for first timers read more
