But- You're going to have a horrible time unless you speak Spanish because if you don't look bilingual, then the receptionist/tattoo artists will casually talk s*** about you in front of your face in Spanish. Got two torso tattoos here. First time I went, some skinny dude in thick glasses tried to overcharge me on the quote, went to another artist on a different day for the same tattoo plus another and got priced over $100 less. The tattoo artist pressed extra hard & only stopped when i looked down at him. The receptionist kept hovering over us, making weird faces and comments. When it was over, I walked to the counter to look at piercings, she tried to make awkward small talk with me to the point where the tattoo artist actually had to come over, audibly whisper & tell her "he knows you're f***ing with him" to get her to stop being weird and sarcastic. One of the socially most uncomfortable experiences I've ever been through while getting a tattoo. I wouldn't even send my enemies here. read more

Tried getting my septum pi there, the lady (piercer) was doing evrythjng wrong. she put the needle in too low. not only that but she took out the needle before the adding the septum part. she manually tried putting it in on her own, she ended up damaging my septum and I left bleeding and shaking. she then tried to blame me because I was shaking. she did everything wrong! none of the workers told her what she did wrong and just watched, she tried doing that for more then 5 minutes before I told her to stop. read more

NEVER GO HERE FOR PIERCINGS Went here to get my eyebrow re pierced after the piercing had fallen out while i was sleeping. Whatever bar the piercer used was way too thick. She forced the new piercing in further ripping my eyebrow and barely leaving any skin remaining between the two wholes of the piercing. My piercing looked NOTHING like this before she had extended the whole twice as much. She then warned me that it was barely hanging on . I wish the piercer just told me no because i had no idea how thick the piercing was compared to my whole. It should not be my job to figure that out. The piercing has now ripped out the skin in between and is gonna leave a permanent scar on my face. Don't go here they have cheap piercings that they will make fit in ur face instead of just explaining to you it's not possible like a proffesional should. You ruined my fucking face when you could've just left it TOLD ME BEFORE IT WAS DAMAGED AND ALREADY IN MY FACE and let me go to a place with less thick piercing bars. read more

My best friend and I came here after looking on Yelp for some local places. We were in south la/huntington park area. We called ahead of time to make sure they could take us and they said they could. Parking is a bit rough, you need to find street and we went after 4pm so a lot was not available. We found some on Vermont for 1 hr. The shop was small, organized setup, clean and the prices were reasonable. Danny was the piercer who helped us out and he was a sweet guy, explained everything and was thorough. I got my ears done a 3rd time on my lobe and my friend got her lip. I went with Danny's recommendation for placement. He was super gentle, I didn't even feel it! AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE I wish I had read the Yelp reviews before going and saved myself the irritation. I only came here because it was kind close to campus but STAY AWAAAAAY 1. THEY WORK HIGH! I was there yesterday and their piercer was HIIIIIGH as a fucking kite, after showing up HOURS late. He literally couldn't even communicate properly. He couldn't do the work because he was so high and THEN refused to give me a refund. If there was a manager or someone who had some sense maybe it could've been resolved but it was clearly a old boys club where they cover for eachother no matter what. On TOP of being a damn on-the-job addict, this guy is a certified CREEP, commenting on womens bodies, saying inappropriate things, just living in the 1950s. Idk how long this place can or will stay open operating like this. If you've had issues, you can file a complaint with the CA department of public health. Just dial 2-1-1 and rhwhll take your complaint, send you an email confirmation, and they handle all the work for you. This place needs to be shut down! ** I wound up going to Somatic piercing in Long Beach and it was like a breath of fresh air. They use MUCH better quality jewelry(surgical grade), they're cool as hell, the shop is spotless and the staff are more than competent. Honestly i liked this place because of the other times I've gone for a piercing but today I was very disappointed in how my experience went. I went in for a lip piercing and I was taken in the back to get it done, some guy didn't catch his name was doing my piercing and he went to go grab the jewel for me and came back with hoops, I've been told that a stud is better for lip piercings because of the healing process and because of the fact that it's straight and once you get a hoop it curves but he assured me as long as I clean it, it'll be fine. We get the needle through and everything is going fine but then he puts in the jewelry and it feels forced and I end up gushing out blood. I ask him to take it out and he does and while that's happening I'm still pouring out blood. It's about 3 napkins after that i stop gushing out blood and finally he goes to get an older guy from the front to come see or something. The older guy was asking the other guy to refund me my money but the guy just says no because of the fact that I had already gotten the piercing through. I understand about the policy of no refunds and how sometimes people don't like it and wanna take it out and wanna get a refund. But it wasn't my fault I started gushing out blood. I've gotten an eyebrow piercing with some very sweet girls but this guy just made me very disappointed honestly. (Update: after a few hours my inner lip is bruised and now i understand why I bled a lot. in picture shown the bottom is needle hole and on top there is a bruise. They are the worst!!! All the way around, from their customer service to the shop cleanliness to the horrible tattoo artist they have. I tried the shop because it's very close to my house, the first time I walked in i spoke to and older man. Which was not very helpful and made me feel like he did not care about getting my business. I first asked for the person that does the dermal piercings. They have a big sign that says "piercing" he said she's not there. Then I asked about tattoos, he was very cold and didn't seem friendly. He told me the lady that pierces will be back tomorrow. So I came back the next day. Only to find out she wasn't there again. So I came back third time, this time I talk to a younger male. I asked about the piercing again he said she wasn't there and basically she comes in when she feels like it, so they have no schedule to tell their customers. And that's what I really wanted to get done. Very unprofessional. So I also wanted just a simple 5 letter name. He told me he's a tattoo artist he was the only one there nobody else was there. So I asked him if he had nice handwriting, he told me he did. So I agreed to get the tattoo by him. I thought that he would trace the name and show me first, well he decided to do a free hand on my arm. I was uncomfortable with this but I assumed he knew what he was doing. When he first drew it on my arm it looked OK I was satisfied with it. As we got started he seemed like he a erased it and re drew it which I didn't get to see. So the final product looks like crap! This was my first visit here and I regret not listening to my friend and going somewhere else They are nice people and make you feel comfortable and that's why I gave them 1 star, if I could give it 0 i would have though. The girl that did my piercing seemed so rushed, she didn't even measure where the center is supposed to be and the piercing came out SO crooked, she struggled a bit when she tried getting the needle through and let it go for a bit, that's where I think the crookedness came from. Getting out of the car and walking down the street to this place, you might think it's shady. Which it is--the neighborhood, I mean. However, inside, the place seems very sterile, especially the piercing room. I came here with my friend to get our belly button piercings done and the lady piercing us was really nice and calming. We were so nervous but she talked us through it and I didn't feel a thing when she pierced me. The only thing I could say about my piercing is that it was a little crooked...which some people told me happens when the piercing is adjusting to your skin, but I couldn't help but seeing the crookedness all the time. My friend's piercing turned out great and she still has it today, without infection or anything. However, I stopped taking proper care of my piercing after about 9 months and it slowly came out of my skin! the piercing slid more and more out and eventually, the skin it was pierced through looked like it could break any day, so I just took the piercing out. It wasn't painful or anything, and I feel like it could've been better if I had just taken proper care of it. Overall, I like this place. They're sterile, really nice, and not expensive! read more

All the employees were really sweet & seemed genuinely interested in my life, which was cool. I came here to get a new stud for my nose, the only thing I'm somewhat un pleased with was their variety of metal. They only had sterling silver & while I strictly use sterling silver for my ears, I'm scared of how my nose with react. But I have no choice since this is the only shop within 2 miles of my place & walking further would be stupid. Otherwise, the piercer put my jewelry in for free basically & the stud was only $5, I tipped $3 & would done more if I wasn't a starving college student & that wasn't my last $8....
