I just wish I remembered the name of the woman who helped us because she made such an impression. She walked us through all the options at different price points in a way that felt completely neutral and respectful. There was no subtle steering toward something more expensive. It genuinely felt like whatever we chose was the right choice. Ivy, my piercer, was incredibly thorough and precise. I really want to stress how pleasant and painless this piercing was. I am talking pain level 0 out of 10. I AM NOT MAKING THAT UP. She is extremely clean in her process and talked me through every step so I always knew what was happening. Today, it has been 3 days since we got the tattoo and although the tattoo itself is small, has fine lines, and is on the wrist, it appears as if it has a smear/smudge on one of the corners on both tattoos. This isn't my first tattoo, and my husband and I have been following the after care and have been careful. It's on the healing stage, but you can tell that the corner line differs and there is a smudged area on both tattoos. For both these it was $240 total and done by Chris. I will update this review once the tattoos heal completely.

When I first met her, I was in a really bad place with my health. I was living with some very serious health issues and was just overall struggling so much and truthfully, I felt like a foreigner in my own body. I first got a Wicked tattoo done by her and when I walked into Supersweet, I was so nervous. I had many other tattoos but I was just in a very vulnerable place and at that time, everything made me anxious. When she sat down with her designs, what she had come up with took my breath away. It was so much better than I could have ever imagined and it was the most stunning design I'd ever seen. As we sat down to get started, she could tell that I was nervous and was so gracious, gentle, compassionate and understanding, and really took her time to make sure I felt safe. This meant the world to me. After that, I was scheduled to have a tattoo with her again, and I needed to cancel bc I ended up having emergency back surgery. She was, again, so kind, loving, understanding and supportive. I have since come in and gotten quite a few more tattoos with her and for the first time in so long, my body feels like my own again and I am excited to look down and see my beautiful tattoos done by her. I fully intend to be her client from now until, honestly, however long she'll have me. Her work is stunning and I have so much fun at our sessions. He wanted double bands around his forearm and Sam was able to sketch it out and do the tattoo on the same day. We were in and out within 1.5 hours. He explained the process and aftercare which made getting a tattoo seamless and less daunting. I was on the fence about getting a tattoo but my friend said if he got one I would have to get one too. I decided to get a runner with an ekg as I thought it was fitting for me. I wanted something small for my first tattoo and easily to keep hidden from my mom (sorry mom). He asked me to send him a picture of what I wanted and scheduled an appointment for Monday at 11am. Once Monday came I walked over and signed the consent form. He then printed out the tattoo and placed the outline on my chest and asked me if it was where I wanted it. Being a tattoo noob I trusted his judgement. After letting the outline dry I laid down and he began working on the piece. He said since it was a small tattoo and mainly lines there shouldn't be much pain and the healing process wouldn't be as long. It took about 30 mins to finish up the tattoo and the quality came out amazing. There was no pain at all and he went over the aftercare as well. I showed Sam this other tattoo I wanted and he said he would be able to do that as well. He says his art style is realism and anime so I can't wait to get more work done by him. He has been tattooing for 2 years now along with his apprenticeship. He told me to message him when I'm ready for my next piece. Maybe this tattoo thing is an addiction and will keep you coming back for more.

My feet have been through it the last couple of years (sports) and I wanted to get serious about caring for them properly, not just getting them painted. Of course, I turned to Yelp for the scoop and zeroed in on Ms. Glen's Therapeutic Manicures & Pedicures. I finally got a chance to go see Ms. Glen and it was everything I wanted and more. It was relaxing (I fell asleep)! It was restorative! My feet felt and looked healthy and cared for. I didn't get polished which is great because I have been wanting to go natural for a while to let my nails breathe and focus on what's really happening with my toe nail health. So may things I loved (in no particular order): - Very communicative from the appointment (via phone) to the confirmation and directions (via text) - Ms. Glen greeted me at the door - The studio smells divine (really sets the tranquil mood) - The studio was intimate (just me - yay) - The space was very clean (I am a stickler for clean) - There was a complimentary water waiting on me - Ms. Glen has developed her own techniques and products which speaks to her dedication and specialization (I love people who are passionate about what they do!) - Every step of the treatment was appreciated! (very detailed, very attentive, think - pampering your feet from the in-depth massage to the parrafin to the soaks to the grooming and much much more) - I got socks! This was such a special and much needed last step that I never knew I needed. It made my feet more comfortable and protected after such a beautiful treatment. She even asked me my size. How's that for customer service! - Now this one may seem trivial but I never had to hold my feet up during the treatment unless I was transitioning from the bowl to a towel. I do not like having to do that while someone attends to the bottom of my feel or heels. Ms. Glen has it worked out where I can truly relax the whole time. I also left with one of Ms. Glen's therapeutic hand and foot oils in Lemon. She makes the oils herself! It smells so good and leaves a refreshing but not overpowering scent. It feels good oiling my feet every night. Like another reviewer said, this is not your run of the mill pedicure shop. This is a therapeutic service that is worth every penny. My goal is to make this a regular treatment. If my feet are healthy, I am healthier! Thanks Ms. Glen for such a wonderful experience! I'll be back. If your feet are in need of TLC, renewal and restoration, Ms. Glen has a carefully curated service that will leave your feet feeling brand new. I had recently purchased a soap that helps with skin discoloration. It hasn't been making any improvement in the uneven skin tone and dark marks on my feet. Turns out I just needed an appointment with Ms. Glen. The exfoliation she provided literally rubbed away 15 years from my feet. My dry scratchy heels were left supple and smooth and the calloused areas were left soft. Had I known what I was in store for I would have taken before and after pictures. She even provided socks for me to leave in, to seal in the moisture. My favorite part hands down was the massage. She kneaded into these tired soles, and I needed that! I paid a little more than the price listed (which she does quote as a base price) but she also spent almost 2x the amount of time listed. My Fiancé noticed the difference in appearance and feel immediately. I intentionally waited until 24 hours+ had passed to write this review, wanting to see if my feet would feel just as nice. THEY DO!! Ms. Glen definitely puts pride in her work and I love how she checked in throughout the process to ensure I was satisfied along the way. I recommend her service to anyone looking to give their feet a more youthful feel and look. And if your feet have severe issues that might keep you from visiting open public salons, her private suite will help you feel comfortable and secure. Right before I left, Ms. Glen threw in a bottle of her therapeutic hand & foot oil once she saw how dry my hands were. I had discussed my upcoming nuptials with her and she wanted to make sure my hands moisturized properly for my big day, even providing a demonstration on proper application. Ms. Glen is a gem!

I trusted the front desk staff to guide me, and was quoted $80 for Gel-X, builder gel removal, and French tip. At my appointment on Friday 7/18, I was unexpectedly charged $110! I was told the card on file couldn't be used for the service--only for late fees or no-shows--which made no sense. If the salon can charge the card for penalties, why not for the actual service being provided? This was especially frustrating because the appointment was a gift for a huge accomplishment of mine, from my mother, so of course I didn't have the physical card with me. On top of that I was also charged extra for nail length without warning, and billed twice for polish: $20 for gel color and $15 for French tip, even though I only received 1 design; french tip. When I asked for clarification, staff just pointed to the online pricing--but I booked in person to avoid that confusion. The experience felt misleading. I intentionally came in person to avoid confusion and relied on the staff to guide me accurately. Unfortunately, that did not happen. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. If you're considering booking here, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for more transparent and customer-friendly service.

Shop is hidden from view and although communicating with the shop was a hassle, I still tried to give it a chance but I should've trusted my gut feeling. This review is going specifically going towards King Afa and I am not sure why he goes by King. I had contacted him for consultation of a sleeve I wanted and I have heard a lot of great reviews from this artist. Word of advice: Trust the reviews rather than the reputation of someone especially a tattoo artist. Worst experience ever. Every low start review about King Afa is true. I'll keep it short and simple. The work he does is great but he definitely steals from his customers. He ALWAYS comes late to all his appointments in which his reviews mention and he charges and rips people off for the least amount of artwork done. How much work did he complete? BARELY ANY not even a half sleeve and charged me over $1k. Worst experience ever! I highly advise every customer who decides to get their work done by him to be aware and make sure you have an exact price quote from him! Artists nowadays do not realize the true meaning of catering to their customers especially when they are spending thousands of dollars. First things first, Joel is the man (he's also the shops latest apprentice). Thank you once again for finishing my traditional/modern Filipino tribal tattoo. From the first consultation to hearing out my ideas, to getting a sketch out, and lastly, to getting it done on my forearm, I couldn't be more happier. Vine St. Tattoo is nestled in a busy little shopping center. Parking can suck, especially because after 6:30, they do valet and you have no choice but to pay if you've left your car parked there. The shop is clean and cozy inside... there's a seating area with a tv where Netflix is usually being played. I met Noel, the shop's owner, and King Afa, during my back to back sessions to get my piece done. Each one has their respective area. When it came down to getting my work done, everything was done with carefulness and cleanliness. I even observed it when watching other clients getting work done by the other two artists. just got home after an all day appointment with Noel, Not only he is a true student of the art of tribal tattoo, he is extremely talented, prompt, every email was answered in a timely manner he is very patient and eager to please, but knows when it's time for his input to stand. He put together an unreal piece for me, and worked all day to get it done, because i have limited time and another session would be months away Noel finished it for me same day!. The tattoo had to have certain essential elements , the main theme had to work with three different cultures and he was able to put it all together tastefully, without omitting any details... Ambiance in the shop was great I learned a lot about tattoos while being worked on as they had all kinds of documentaries on history of tattoos playing on the big screen it made my time go by much faster.... Noel was my tattoo artist and he did an excellent job on it. I got a Polynesian style tribal wrist cuff covering a small band of numbers. The detail from my sketch is on point and the symmetry is flawless. It didn't seem like it took a long time because he had a movie playing but it was a great distraction. I was actually referred to THS by multiple people so I looked into them and found Endry. His work really impressed me and my boyfriend who was also a tattoo artist back in the day. So I booked an appt to have a very simple roman numeral tattoo done under my collarbone. The booking process was actually very easy and the shop worked with me. There's a $200 minimum and there's a $100 deposit that you Venmo before the appointment is made. I honestly found the booking process super smooth and easy. If you can find it, there's metered parking right in front of the shop which is super convenient. I honestly love the vibe of this place. Endry was so kind and welcoming and made my first tattoo the best experience it could've been (also want to note I have a needle phobia so this is a legit compliment). I have since seen Endry multiple times for more extensive work. Endry is truly an incredible artist who really puts care and consideration into each piece. You can tell he really cares about his craft and I have so much respect for that. Working with him has been a pleasure and I look forward to my next session with him. I actually recently got my forearm done with a beautiful fine line floral wrap and I am still in awe at the photorealistic detail in the flowers. Honestly, just not a great Tattoo. I sent them the original picture and told the guy it doesn't…read moreneed to be exactly like that, we can style it a little bit. Showed him a few AI examples and he had me send him one that he/we thought looked cool. I didn't really put a ton of thought into it just figured "sure. Do your thing with it." I probably should've noticed the AI flaw in the stencil, but, as my regular artist pointed out, he definitely should have noticed, especially since he had the original photo. A little miscommunication but oh well. On top of that it's really really light so I'm going to have to have my normal artist fix it and touch it up. I wasn't even going to leave a review because it's partly my fault, and I don't really care that much, but like my normal artist pointed out, he's supposed to notice these kind of things. Then I realized the only reason I don't really care is because it's somewhere not normally visible. If it was on my arm I would be horrified. Other than that, they were cool, the booking process was easy, and reasonably priced. Also the shop was super clean which is important to me so 3-stars

I came to him because he had good work, but it seems those days are past him. When he was tattooing, he didn't care about the quality of his tattooing. He kept stopping every 5 minutes and then wouldn't stop talking about his other business with his employees instead of focusing on the tattoo he was doing. Never responded to my inquire to at least finish the tattoo, ghosted me. Ended up making his persona IG to the generic store IG and never heard from him again. Sucks because there are a lot of talented artists there.

I got my first tattoo in 15 years from AJ a couple of days ago and it was a cover up to boot. AJ created a gorgeous design based on photos I sent and went to work, taking care to not only add amazing detail and go over areas as needed, but check in with me to make sure I was okay. I am literally the wimpiest person in the world, but I was able to get through this 4+ hour session because of how comfortable AJ made things for me. As you can see, the end result is unbelievably stunning, even as it heals. I can't wait to come back for another one in the next month or so. Thank you AJ!

I knew when I walked in that I wanted one of Rick's flower ladies. He worked with me to choose elements of stencils he had, then he went back and drew me a custom one on the spot! It was exactly what I wanted and I think it came out looking great! I will definitely be back to get some of Rick's sick designs in his flash book. The shop itself was very clean and simple. Everyone in shop was nice and made the whole experience more comfortable.

I'm vegan and wanted to be consistent. So, I searched online and found James Spooner. I live in Bay Area and e-mailed James. He responded quickly to my e-mails and right off the bat I knew I picked the right artist because he was so nice and offered suggestions to help give me the best tattoo possible. He e-mailed me the design and it was beautiful and exactly what I wanted. During my appointment I was so nervous because it was my first tattoo, but James made me feel very comfortable.
