While doing the install, he gave me an honest, straightforward assessment of my brakes, suspension, and front-end components--no upsell, just the facts. He also helped two other walk-in customers without appointments, all while staying on top of my job. I made an appointment two days ago. Just came in for a 10 AM appointment, which I confirmed earlier this morning, and was told I would have to wait until they finished with another car they were working on. When I explained I had an appointment, the mechanic said "this guy did too". When I to give me an estimate on when my car might be ready, he was evasive and said "when it's done we'll call you". When I asked him to be more specific, he said "a couple of hours" in a way that was very vague and made me distrust him. I ended up walking out because I don't have three hours to sit around when I thought it was going to be a one hour appointment. I should've known better. Years ago I came here for an oil change and they tried to upsell me for something I didn't need. Luckily I had information from the manufacturer on what type of oil my car required. I read an online review of this place where the guy watched them work on his car and they never rotated the tires but insisted that they did. brought my vehicle in for warranty work. low bra fluid(i assumed it had a leak) front end alignment, and a evap leak. they told me I had no brake leak, they said the did the alignment, and that the evap leak was caused by a bad spring on gas cap door and they put Vaseline to help seal it. The truck still pulled to the right and light for brake and evap cam back on. I brought the truck to another place and they actually did the alignment(with proof). the truck had one brake line that was broken and two other failing components and the evap leak had nothin to do with the door but instead needed a new fuel pump and brake lines. Monro had my vehicle for two days and I'm pretty sure never ever pulled it into the bay. What a waste of time read more

Don and his crew is very eager to please, but I usually just do routine maintenance here (oil changes) I don't understand why they advertise $19.95 but no one actually pays that there is "always " something LOL. Do like the fact they are usually accessible. read more

Had new tires put on my 2021 4Runner and it came back with damage to all four TRO rims. The reasoning I was provided was that they use a "steel duct head" to remove the the tires, "which can cause damage". I was then provided the 1-800 number for Monroe's corporate office if I wanted to pursue it. read more

Took my dads car here to have two leaky tires fixed, oil change and the sensor fixed and they were late opening in the morning, didn't want to listen to all the problems. Never called to say it was done, we had to call to check in. Asked about each problem and they explained what they did with the tires and then when asked about the sensor they acted like they never saw it come up even though it comes on every time you turn the car on. Said maybe we'd have to go to ford but they never saw it. Well the next day sure enough there's the sensor warning. Going to go elsewhere from now on. read more

I had a very good experience here this past week when my break pads and routers went on my car. I dropped my car off Monday evening and it was ready by Tuesday afternoon. They kept me in touch while servicing my car. Was a little on the expensive side, but the customer service, quality of work, and quick turn around time make up for it! read more

Forget about the $19.95 sign hanging out front. When I questioned Donny he gave me some song and dance about "special oil" and yet the receipt clearly says I got regular oil - not synthetic. I know I shouldn't gripe b/c I did get the Valvoline "maxlife" which - for my 10 year old car with 130k on it - should make all the difference. I called in to bring my Lexus in for an alignment which I figured would be a simple and easy process. Don picked up the phone and when I had a few questions he was very rude and acted like he wanted no part in life. I asked if 4:30 was a good and his response was "umm...yeah?" and just acting like I was dumb the entire time when I asked questions. So I brought it in and one of the guys (I think his name was Ethan) was very nice throughout. But I had to leave the car overnight and when I called the next day during the evening, once again, Don picked up and was rude and said the car has been done for a while now so I was very happy to hear I got no call before letting me know. When I picked the car up, I was confused as to why Don wouldn't give me a receipt for the work that was done but his response was "Cant give you a receipt your warranty company hasn't paid me so you aren't getting one". So his biggest concern was the money but not surprised. I figured everything would be fine but after a while of driving it I noticed there was no change at all and multiple people agreed so I called back this week to bring it in and have them re do it and also see why my TPMS light is on. As usual, Don being rude on the phone and not caring about anything, told me to bring it in and they'll redo it. I did yesterday evening and Ethan called 30 minutes later saying the alignment is all set and is currently helping me with the spare tire issue to find the right tire. I go in this morning to pick up the car and Don is at the desk, didn't say a single word to me and when I asked for a receipt for the work done he shook his head no and said "We just re did it". Even my warranty company was confused as to why they wouldn't give me a receipt considered that sketchy. Now after driving it back home...the wheel is now pulling to the left pretty bad when it was originally pulling to the right. I don't understand how a place like this is running with the negative reviews they have and the way a certain person can treat everyone is insane based off of what I saw. The best part of this whole situation was getting my car back with it smelling like an attic and cigarettes after I just cleaned the whole thing out. AVOID. Oil change was scheduled and they'd no filters in stock despite it being on the books in advance. Never bothered to look at tire pressure numbers when tires were rotated so they were under pressurized, manager was completely unprofessional and rude and never even rose from his chair to speak when this customer was attending to business/asking questions. read more

When I told the attendant that l thought the advertising was deceptive, he got very rude and told me if l didn't like it, l could go somewhere else. He was hostile and threatening in his manner. I went in with an exhaust problem at 0900 AM. By 0915, the car was up on the lift and diagnosed. The staff member I dealt with didn't just tell me what was wrong, he also showed me what was worn out and broken as well as offering options for replacements. I was told they likely wouldn't have the parts until late afternoon, so the call at 1:30PM was a pleasant surprise. I'd gladly take my car there for work again. read more

Beware of a rip off fee of 9.9% of your bill added near the bottom of your invoice listed under miscellaneous, for "shop supplies" They will charge you up to a maximum of $39.99 secretly without disclosure until you get your bill printed out. It's near the bottom of the invoice and you may not see it. I found it when I looked over my bill at home. I called and said I didn't authorize any fee for your office supplies added to my bill and asked for the $39 to be credited back to my card. The store manager, Donald Mead, refused, and said it was a national policy. I asked what it was for, and he said "it's for whatever we want it to be". I called the national office in Rochester, NY to complain about this hidden rip off scam they are pulling on consumers, and they confirmed that it is indeed an national policy not just this store's policy, to bury this nearly 10% fee into their client's invoices. When I said that was against the law in Massachusetts hit consumers with unauthorized fees at car repair shops they quickly offered to refund the $39.00 back to my card, as a "One time courtesy". If you don't want to be ripped off by hidden fees avoid this store, and all the other Monro shops. read more

Took my vehicle in on a special for an oil change and tire rotation. When the guy was done, he said you need a new back tire to which I replied "oh really". He hadn't even rotated the tires but was done! I said I want the tires rotated. He said I am off the clock now, so an older gentleman took over. When he was done, he told me I needed two new tires in the back at$137 each. I said, "oh really" I just got those tires a few months ago, so I guess I will have to take them back to where I bought them!" My tires are new and fine, what a scam, being dishonest just to make a buck. Watch it if you go there. read more

BEWARE, THIS SHOP HAS NOTHING BUT HACKS AND SWINDLERS WORKING THERE, ESPECIALLY THE MANAGER DONALD MEAD. When I brought my car in for service they drove it on to the lift and bent the front spoiler by crashing into a metal part of the lift. When I pointed it out to the manager he said it was fine and was made to bend and then proceeded to yank up and down on it possibly causing more damage. One side was bent up at 90 degrees - I don't know how it didn't break. I didn't see the damage underneath until I got home. Pieces of plastic were broken and two mounting points had been pulled out. Not to mention the guy who drove my car had grease all over his hands and arms and got it on several areas of the car. When I complained, the manager, Don told me to get out of his shop, which I wanted to do anyway after seeing their butchery, but would not give me a copy of the release I signed allowing them to drive the car. Don wouldn't even tell me his last name, which I found out from the previous reviewer as well as their hidden "shop fee" they charge unsuspecting customers.
