Took my car in because another auto place told me that I need new brakes and discs for $2,000 on a 2023 hybrid RAV4 and I wanted a second opinion. Monro looked at my vehicle and didn't find anything wrong with my brakes, just a tad bit of rust on my discs which is expected with the amount of snow and salt exposure we get here. I appreciate the honesty and just for that I will continue and would highly recommend this place to anyone that needs auto services done. Kevin was professional and explained in detail what he recommended I should look for in the future as far as brake wear signs with my vehicle. I wouldn't trust taking my vehicle here. They failed my husband's inspection on his truck, claiming it needed breaks. Trusting them was our first mistake, as they were insistant it failed even though no signs of break wear were being shown. Being a former auto mechanic (now lift mechanic) who has held his inspector license ehe took his truck back to do the breaks himself. Turns out the breaks were no where near failing, and they were just trying to make a quick buck. read more

I called in a panic because a sensor went off that my oil was and I needed to add more immediately. It was almost their closing time when I called, but I was told just to come anyway. The man I spoke with added oil to my car, explained a few things about what could be wrong, and sent me on my way with no charge. I couldn't be more grateful...highly recommended. read more

Have had nothing but great experiences here. Took in my car due to brakes making noise. Expected to spend a couple hundred dollars. Was pleasantly surprised when I went to pick up my car and the gentlemen told me all the brakes looked good. They did not charge a penny. Have had tires done there and inspections. They do not do the typical up sell that most do with inspections. Overall great place for car care. read more

Dishonest. The guy who seemed to be in charge was dishonest with me. (This was in Dec 2020 -- he was not one of the pair of guys who were in charge in the 2010s.) I arrived on time for my oil change appointment. I had requested the appointment on the monro.com website, and later received a confirmation via email. But the guy said I didn't have an appointment. When I told him about my appointment and confirmation, he said they didn't take appointments online and pretended to know nothing of any online system for appointments. So: he was effectively claiming that Monro corporate had neglected to inform him of the online appointment system; And, he was effectively claiming that none of his staff or customers had ever mentioned that there's a big red REQUEST AN APPOINTMENT button on the monro.com homepage that leads you through requesting an appointment for your desired location; And, he was effectively claiming that the email confirmation of my appointment -- at his location -- didn't mean anything; And, he was effectively claiming that I was the very first person to ever inform him that Monro lets you make an appointment online. (Yet he didn't seem disbelieving, or surprised, or concerned, to hear of such a thing.) Dishonest. As near as I can figure, Monro wants him to participate in online appointments but he doesn't want to. So when somewhen requests an appointment online, he plays along by confirming it even though he has no intention of honoring it; and when they arrive, he lies to them, and tries to get them to make a new appointment while they're there. read more

Purchased winter tires after years of inspections and service at the Victor location. Sadly Bill DeSimone is no longer there. He had the place running smoothly and was trustworthy. My son brought his car for nys inspection 2 weeks ago. They loosened his tires and told him he needed tie rods and tires and his car would not pass inspection. My son was smart enough to leave and get second opinion. As he was driving his front end was shaking... they never tightened the bolts on the front tires and the tires are fine. DO not trust this shop! I am lucky that my son's tire did not come flying off and causing a major accident hurting himself or others. read more

If zero stars was possible, I would have applied it. I would never recommend using this company for anything. I would never wish what happened to me to happen to anyone. I had my brakes replaced on my Honda Civic. I went to this shop to replace my brakes prior to taking my kids on a trip to see the grandparents in Iowa. I picked the car up on Friday and left the next day on my trip. We drove to Ohio and stayed the night. Our first day was wonderful. On Sunday morning, we started off and drove about an hour and suddenly without any warning I heard a large bang and then a very loud grinding. I immediately tried to apply my brakes and my peddle when to the floor. Luckily we were a few hundred feet from an oasis stop. As we were on the Indiana toll way there was nothing within an hour each way. The tow truck hand to drive over an hour to get us. I won't go into to much detail since this is a review, but my three children and I were stuck in the middle of no where on a Sunday with nothing open to repair my vehicle or get a rental so we could get a car to drive somewhere to stay. I had to have my elderly parents drive hours to pick us up and I had to leave my car at a closed repair shop in a town I have never been to before because nothing was open. It turns out the brakes were improperly installed and not secured correctly. My family and I were so lucky we weren't in a serious accident. After a day of pure misery and a over 700 dollars in unnecessary out of pocket costs, I was told by the manger that I would be taken care of. However, after a year or more and several communicates verbally and in writing I still have never be compensated for my costs or even the repairs to my vehicle caused by negligent installation of my brakes. Don't bother. They don't stand by their service. read more

About a month ago on a Saturday we were treated exceptionally well by the store manager, William DeSimone. We had overnighted in the area, and the exhaust started to roar. We went to the closest muffler garage and were 'sqeezed in' during their lunch hour. A bad 'fix' in our hometown had allowed the pipe to separate from the converter, causing the noise. Monro drilled out two bolts, added a gasket, and put it back together -- all with no charge. Thank you, Mr. DeSimone! read more

I have had great service at this location. The management team and workers are fair, honest individuals, who constantly provide an accurate estimate and provide prompt service. Since a number of the workers are long time employees, they have significant experience diagnosing hard to repair intermittent problems. I have been bringing my vehicles to this location for over 15 years and have had great experiences. I would recommend this Monro location without reservation. read more

I'd give them ZERO stars if I could. Brought my 2 month old car in for an oil change. The tech put the oil plug in so tight that when I took it to the Honda dealership they couldn't get the plug out without stripping it completely. Which ended up costing me $ 489.00 for an oil change and new oil pan. I called and talked to the manager Mike, who was beyond rude to me. He refused to reimburse me or give me the number of their headquarters. Used foul language towards me as well. Very unprofessional for a manager. Not the first time I have had problems with this location either. Last time, they FORGOT to put the OIL back in my car. I drove from NY to NC and back to NY with not one drop of oil in my car. Which caused the engine to seize. Again....nothing was done. And I followed their rules and sent all paperwork that was needed to be reimbursed. And they tell me that I can't prove they we're the last ones to work on my vehicle. What a joke this place is! Maybe they need to make sure these techs know what they are doing before they hire them. Try training your employees, you'd be amazed the turn around you guys would get. Thanks for costing me yet another HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS that wasn't needed. I don't suggest taking your vehicle to this location. Spend the money and take it somewhere where they won't rob you blind. read more

I went to get my (hopefully the only problem) heat shield fixed, brake bolt installed, and state inspection. I was late because I missed the driveway. Staff was very friendly, knocked out my simple problems quickly and notified me my rear tires were trashed and couldn't pass inspection without replacing those. I was completely unaware of the tire issue and grateful for the information. (That's one reason we have inspections.) Couldn't pass inspection because I didn't have enough money on hand for two tires, but that wasn't their fault. I am so grateful for not being taken advantage of with, "You need all new brakes and exhaust" that you might get elsewhere. Back on payday for two new tires!
