Had an appointment to put snow tires on my truck was told it would be 2 hours so I chose to stay in the waiting room thinking it would be an in and out ordeal. Ended up being 4 hours. An hour a tire. They move at a snails pace here but techs getting minimum wage they don't care as long as they clock an 8 hour shift. I brought my own tires I wouldn't buy anything from this place. It's your typical cookie cutter big box tire shop. If you get anything done here other than mount and balance tires you're insane go to an actual auto shop. I paid them for four new valve stems cause my original ones leaked leak tested this morning they are all leaking so they never changed the valve stems wasted 4 and half hours of my time and charged me $150 for some of the worst work I've ever seen. Don't waste your time here after speaking with their "technicians" it's pretty obvious drug testing isn't a requirement for employment here. I guess I'm insane for even going here lol. (Update) lug nuts on two wheels were hand tightened thank God I made it home this crosses the line from uneducated lazy workers to dangerous and unsafe practices. Corporate is either a call center or someone who couldn't care less. Stay far away from this place your life and vehicles well being could depend on it! read more

I had a tire replaced and they put it on a super bent rim without telling me about it. The next day that tire went flat because they didn't tell me about the rim. I was supposed to get a refund about a month ago, I've called about 5 different times now about the refund and every time they just say that you'll see it in 3 days except I still have never seen the refund. I thought it was weird when I had to return a week after I passed a Mr. Tire inspection to have some "calipers" replaced for $1,000, but when something "else" started knocking around a week later, I took it to another mechanic who told me one of the nuts was loose, and one was completely missing (or never put back on!l). Either Mr. Tire was too incompetent and didn't tighten the bolts, or they have a far-too-common scam going on here. Fix one thing, but loosen something else up for return business... When I returned and told him that I caught them, he said he would've replaced the nut for free... really? I'm pretty sure you would've charged me another grand for some "calipers". But here's the thing--you put my wife's life in danger by letting us drive around like that, so that's unforgivable... You should be ashamed and embarrassed, but I doubt it... We're out-o-towners visiting family. Had issues with our breaks and needed a last minute service. Though their schedule was full and we may have needed to leave the car all day (which we couldn't do) the service manager, Anthony, really helped us out by having his team do an initial check and get us on our way in last than an hour. He also answered all our questions and did not try to upsell us at all. We really appreciated the honest service. It's giving us a more confident ride home from our family visit. read more

So here's the story: Looked online for appointments to bring my car in, I have gone there before and it has gone alright so figured why not again. The appointment schedule looks very clear so I pick a date 3 days out at 8am. They emailed me back asking if 9 am would work I obliged. Clearly if they are requesting 1 hour later it's the same date right .... Fast forward to today, 7/1 which I thought was the date of my appointment, I come in to a guy texting on his phone barely greeting me (the customer). I have an appointment today, "no you don't", alright I have an email from you guys confirming it, I show him it, they not only requested 9 am but changed the date to 7/31. 30 days after my initial request which seemed very wide open. Yes I would like my car to be worked on a month from now, super helpful, Fix your scheduling system if there is nothing available show it, quite an easy concept, in fact it's probably why that system was implemented in the first place. So long story short if you need your car repaired or looked at I would go literally anywhere else, anywhere at all, between the rude customer service and the fake availability there are a million shops that you are better off going to. read more

The workers here steal. First of all, the oil change and tire rotation took a full 2 hours when they said it would take 45 minutes when we had an appointment. Then, we got into the car and realized they stole from us out of the car from the center console. My boyfriend went and confronted the person at the front desk about it and he pulled money out of his pocket and tried to pay us for what they stole... saying he didn't know who it was. He didn't even go try to figure it out. They have definitely had that happen before. Bottom line is, never go here, because they will steal from you. And to the business- don't hire workers that steal because that looks terrible for your business. I have never had this happen before and I can not believe that it actually did happen. read more

I made appointment 5 days in advance and ordered 4 specific tires. When I arrived at my appointment I was told the tires I ordered were not available but they had another set in stock to fit my vehicle, however they were $60 more each! They did not try to call me in advance to alert me so that I could make other arrangements and unfortunately I needed to get done that day. I asked for a discount and was denied. On top of that they added a $60 charge for Road Hazard coverage without asking if I was interested. I feel like their business practices are shady and I would not recommend them to anyone. read more

Go to Advent Auto for inspections in Victor NY. We scheduled an inspection online and got a confirmation email. dropped the car off. I called later that morning only to be told there was no appointment and some employee cancelled it because they had no inspectors. No one called us so thanks for wasting our time. Last year also had an inspection. the workers took my inspection sticker OFF but never did an inspection because again they had no inspectors at that time. Did not tell me ahead of time they had no inspector and also took the still valid sticker off!! I got home, realized I had no sticker and called only to be told they did not complete it. HAd to take it elsewhere. This place is horrible and should be closed down. They also never replied to my email to the Corporate office. read more

The Team at Mr. Tire in Victor, appointed me quickly to address my low pressure tire warning. They got my car on the lift and diagnosed and repaired the problem. Was a pesky screw in the tire and was removed and plugged. Team was quick and thorough. And I was on my way. Mr. Tire is lucky to have these technicians on the Team and they should be recognized more often for going out of their way to help the customer. read more

I was very surprised how quickly it was done (half an hour), and the price was very fair (far less than I was expecting to pay at the dealership). I sent someone to get tires and an alignment done because my boyfriend Eric works there and the other workers ended up treating him like crap when Eric wasn't in eye sight (not out of ear shot) the assistant manager Cory made the younger kid Justin take truck out and lie about the alignment saying that they did it when in fact they did NOT But Eric told them what you guys doing isn't done yet and he told the customer the truth about they didn't do any alignment yet very shady people don't go there! read more

Always had great service, but on my most recent visit, something was taken out of the center console of my vehicle. It was nothing of great value, but you shouldn't have to worry about things like that when you take your car in for service. I'm very disappointed this happened. I told the manager on duty and he told me I should check at home for the item. Unfortunately, my complaint was dismissed as me being mistaken about if the item was in the car. I put the item in the car 1 minute before I drove my car to their shop. It was there when I dropped the car off. It was gone when I picked it up. read more

I wish I could give 0 stars!!! This place has lost my business permanently. I have been taking my car there for 3 years and in Jan of 2019 I took my car for an OIL change. In May of 2019 my engine started making a knocking noise. I took it to them immediately and they said I had no oil in my engine. Only 3,400 miles between the Supposed oil change in Jan. Mike the manager kept telling me I was leaking or burning oil which I was not. I filed a claim with their insurance and come to find out I have damage to my engine due to oil DEPRIVATION. This has been the worse experience due to the fact I had to fight so hard to prove the damage and put thousands of dollars at risk. They kept denying it because I am a female and I didn't know what I was talking about. I will not be back and I have informed so many about this situation. I recommend you stay far away. read more

Do not come here for your alignment because they do not know what they are doing. About a month ago, they did an alignment for my Vehicle and I was told by them that my rear wheels cannot be aligned because my rear camber bolts need to be replaced. Well, they still charge me for the alignment even though they don't have the skill to do so. I have no other choice, so I went to my dealerships and the tech said there's no need to replace the rear camper bolts because they are perfectly fine. The tech from my dealership also said that the tech from Mr. Tire don't know what they are doing. Luckily, I went to my dealership and they have aligned all my wheel perfectly! The bad news is that I have just wasted about $90 to Mr. Tire for nothing. The worst part is that, I have spoke to their manager about it and he said he will give me a call back but he never did. I emailed their headquarters and even called them, they just never replied back. Simply, these people do not care about their customers. This shop is so unprofessional, don't waste your money! Made in appointment to have tire that was loosing pressure looked at. I had already checked the tire with soap and water for a leak since the tire was loosing 10 psi a week. So I knew it was a leak between rim and tire. Made the appointment 4 days In advance. Told them exactly what needed to be done. When I went for my appointment I thought it would be a quick fix. They waited 30 minutes before bringing my vehicle into the shop even though I had an appointment. 15 minutes later they pulled my vehicle up front and told me the mechanic checked the tire and did not find anything. I asked if they took the tire off the rim to check. he said they just put a soap solution on tire and did not find anything. Then the service manager told me that it's normal for a tire to loose 7-10 psi a week. BS. i had to convince them to take the vehicle back into the shop and do what I originally asked. take the tire off the rim and re seal it to the rim. MY suggestion is to save your time and go somewhere else where they have better trained mechanics. I will never give Mr. tire my business ever again. read more

Buyers Beware of Service!!!! Took my vehicle for my free tire rotations and do to the fact they hire anyone. They cross thread my studs and snapped them on a 2013 Honda CRV. Then they used a grinder to get the stud out of the Hub, at this point they damaged my Hub to the point it left indentations where a new lug would sit unevenly. they then sent me driving away with only 4 out of the 5 lugs. They owned up to what they did, I called corporate to have my Hub cost reimbursed to me and over a month later they feel it's possible the damage happened elsewhere so will not be giving me a cent. This happened at the Victor,NY location , but could happen anywhere. Dont recommend any of the MR.Tire, Monroes or Midas for any service. read more

Dropped my vehicle off for an inspection at 9am. I didn't want to sit there and wait since I live close by. At 2 pm I still hadn't received a call so I called them and they told me that my vehicle was not done yet. I was Alittle upset at this point because I did schedule an appointment a week in advance and they took advantage of the fact that I didn't stick around. So I said alright give me a call when your done. It was now 5:30pm and I did not receive a call. So I called and asked again. The guy at the front desk was very rude and cocky. He Started giving me a bunch of excuses and telling me how I didn't tell him I needed it by a specific time and there were a bunch of appointments today... I am very disappointed in the service I received today. What if I stayed ? Would I have sat there all day just for an inspection that takes maybe an hour to do ? While driving, my rear tire ball joint broke and the car was disabled. I called for a tow and originally had my vehicle dropped off at a local mechanic I was referred to. The garage was not customer service friendly to say the least and provided me a $600 repair estimate. Unsatisfied, I decided to have the car towed, a second time, to Mr. Tire on Route 96. Right from the start, the staff was professional, responsive, detailed and timely in diagnosis and repair of my vehicle for a significantly lower price of $173!! They even checked my brake caliper, per my request, as a courtesy and advised me I could use a new rotor! Awesome customer service with honesty is all you can ask for from a repair center and we will remain a customer going forward. read more

If I could give a zero I would. My boyfriend brought his car here for an inspection and they told him he needed his tie rod end replaced and that it would be 400 dollars. So he told them no thanks I'll fix it myself. He spent the money to buy the parts and rent the tool to fix it and when he took off his tire saw that it was completely fine. So he brought it to Advent Auto and told them to check it out and inspect it. They checked everything over twice and absolutely nothing is wrong with his car. Needed to get a front end alignment and was unable to get into another local place, so I decided to try out the new place, Mr. Tire. From the initial phone call of setting up the appointment to the end of the transaction, the experience was very good. The manager greeted me upon entering the store. He shook my hand! Ask me what I was experiencing with my vehicle. He told me what he thought it was. While they looked at my vehicle, I waited in their waiting room which is very neat and clean. After about an hour, my vehicle was ready, Issue taken care of. When finishing up, he also recommended other services that they offer. I found this to be helpful. I did not know everything they did. Overall it was a very good experience. I will be going back to use them for other needs. Keep up the good work. read more
