My wife and I were in Monroe and attempted to eat at a different restuarant but when we were told they couldn't seat us, we decided to give another place a try. Upon looking through yelp, this place looked good and had good reviews. PARKING- There is a decent amount of parking in front of the establishment. AMBIANCE- The restaurant was bar-like. Not a place I would go to if I wanted to have a quiet dinner. I did not knock the restaurant on this, as this is what I was expecting when I came here. SERVICE - The service we had was okay. We had two females checking on our table. The service matched the bar-like setting. MENU - The menu was small but had some decent options for a quick bite. FOOD/DRINKS - For drinks my wife ordered the PB&J martini. She said it was mostly liquor with a little bit of other stuff. The waitress had said after giving it to her, if the drink was too strong let us know. It was definitely strong but who doesn't like those type of drinks every now and again? Plus, she wasn't driving! For an appetizers we ordered the beef empanadas and the tacos (2 Chicken & 1 Shrimp). The empanadas were good although they could have been better with a chipotle aioli sauce. The tacos were very dry (especially the chicken). They needed some kind of seasoning or something to spice it up. For dinner my wife ordered the Salmon which came with broccoli and mashed potatoes. I tried her food and the Salmon was cooked very well done. The broccoli tasted like they were previously frozen from a bag and the mashed potatoes were not bad. To be honest, the mashed potatoes were the highlight of the dish. For myself, I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger Med-Rare. After getting the burger, it was cooked well done. The burger tasted like a Bubba burger. It literally had no flavor, it was disappointing. It was so dry, I couldn't even finish it. PRICES - The prices were fair for the atmosphere and styled restaurant. OVERALL - I would not return to this restaurant. I truly do not understand how this restaurant is rated so highly. read more

Food was outstanding, but the service, not so much. We came here on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. When we arrived, the servers at the host stand looked at us as if we had interrupted their day. There was one woman who looked miserable and was clearly not happy about working. The food took about 30 minutes to get to us when it was empty. Our server was nice, but not so attentive. Great place. Ambiance is super cool. We were there soon after opening so it wasn't very crowded. There was a couple at the bar and 2 people behind us at a table eating and drinking bellinis. We each had a flight of beer so we could choose/taste different ipa's. We shared wings as an appetizer and they were really really good we thought. I had a bacon and blue cheese burger and was more than satisfied in taste and presentation. Really cool 'mini fryer' metal basket to hold the shoestring fries in was a cool touch I thought. Yuck. If 86 characters weren't the minimum that is all I would say. I should have known when we walked in this was going to be a bust. Three servers at the host stand looked at us as if we had interrupted their day. There were two young (teen/college age) and one middle age woman. The older woman looked as if we should leave, her attitude was palpable. The young man of the trio grab menus and offered us seats at a window. The restaurant wasn't crowded for the number of servers on the floor. Five tables and 4 servers. There was a party in the party room, that had wrapped up. The guests are leaving as we walked in. After being seated our server took enough time to bring waters as you would for someone to review the drink menu. Again, another sign especially since there was a toddler in our party. But I digress from the one star review. When he finally returns, a good 20 minutes later, our food arrives. I ask for another set of napkin set as we were a party of three with two place settings. Our waiter brought back 2 bar napkins. Solution - sag one from another table. We ordered a kids burger and one of their signature burgers both cooked medium. When the burgers arrive, the signature one is cooked medium-esque, bloodier than medium denotes but keep reading, the alternative is worse. The kids burger was cooked within an inch of its life. To cut it up, I literally had to saw it with a knife. How they managed this and it also being cold is mind boggling. The chicken slides gave intergalactic vibes. The pickles were from a jar, not knocking this, but check the expiration date because these bad boys had passed their date of consumption. The color glowed and the taste made your face hurt. There was a wow factor as to the color of the accompanying sauce. Who knew you could get that color. It brought back memories of your go-to color college highlighter in a sauce. I can't even describe the taste. It was a set of flavors I only know how to describe as chemically. We asked the server what was in the sauce because the color was .....so bright. His response was "it's out chili garlic aioli, I have no idea how it gets that color. Do you want me to ask what's in it?" No thanks, we are set at that point. Lastly, was the crispy cauliflower. This is oily over cooked cauliflower with an immensely thick coating so you only taste the grease from the soggy cauliflower. In a nutshell, hard pass. read more

We returned from vacation and went to Monroe Social. We had not been anywhere for a while due to COVID. I didn't think it could have been improved upon - but I was WRONG!! In addition to the usual excellent meals Constantine is doing what I think he does best- creating flavors. The menu is expanding into Tapas type items, and they are excellent. Ordered 3 Monroe Social Tacos and a Cesar salad to be delivered . To start this,. the tacos were half the size of a normal taco. The bread they put this on was like a flaky round half sized piece of bread that was impossible to pick up without it falling apart in your hands. The Cesar salad came in a tin with cheese shavings instead of granular grated cheese. Each cheese shaving were from 1-2 inch in length and rectangular shaped.? Also, no napkins came with this order. Delivery from GRUB Hub never knocked on the door and left my order outside. When I called Grub Hub after an hour and half to find out what happened to my order, they told me to look outside my door. Just finished our second meal here. This restaurant opened a few weeks ago and we are very impressed. My first meal was a burger that I would describe as fantastic. My second meal was a buffalo burger that was great. Perfectly cooked and really well seasoned. It was on an interesting roll, but I'm not sure what type of bread it was. It was served with sweet potato fries and I loved the meal. The owner and employees are all very friendly and I would highly recommend this place. read more

I was soooo bummed tonight by my first visit here! The service was great and so attentive...I would give that a 5. My husband told the waiter he was the highlight of our dinner, and he was so right. We started off the night with the meatball appetizer. I thought they were pretty decent but my other half thought it was lacking flavor. They were moist and they came in 3 with a nice shaving of cheese. The warm bread was good and the hard cold butter was hard to apply and needed to be softened to enjoy with this yummy bread. I ordered the pear martini which was very good and beautiful in appearance. Had some great flavor and the flower in it was edible and upon finishing my libation, I did polish off the flower and it was good! Our main course consisted of the scallop entree on top of a black and white risotto and joe's chicken. Both of these were sadly not good. Our entrees arrived to the table and my scallops smelled instantly fishy...I tried one very weary and it was terrible in both flavor and texture. I cut into another scallop and again, no better luck. My husband's chicken was ridiculously dry and had no flavor in the breading. Waiter came and asked how we were and naturally, shy me expressed my dissatisfaction and why. He offered to make me a new scallop dish so I consented. The risotto was very tasty but sadly the pairing didn't work. Minutes later, 4 more scallops came out freshly made and they didn't smell as fishy but they were very rubbery in texture. The sweet waiter apologized and removed it off the bill. I would probably come back here for their happy hour BUT definitely not for dinner. The ambiance is nice and the bar is cute and they offer some nice specials from 4-7 and they make some good drinks. Nice small restaurant. Love their big pretzel and their fried chicken sliders. Nice they have a trivia night and live music as well.

We came here one night for a drink and a couple of apps. I really loved the drinks. I had a watermelon martini that was so so good. My husband had a Moscow mule and was raving about it. We did try the butternut ravioli and some oven roasted chicken wings, both were delicious. We ended up sitting in the restaurant side because the bar was packed. The figs wrapped in bacon, cucumber and avocado and crab cakes are spectacular! The Bloody Mary and Fall Cocktail helped kick the party into drive! This review is for a take-out order. I normally don't give two stars but felt like Monroe social earned this review. I was waiting for my daughter to get out of soccer practice decided to place an order for takeout after completing my order the system would not allow take out that day. Strike number one I then called to place the order over the phone only to find out the menu changed that day and it wasn't changed online after sitting on hold for several minutes the burger I wanted was not available to order , so I ordered the house burger instead (was not told that lettuce, tomatoes, etc was optional....which I clearly would have asked for the usual burger accompaniments). Strike two Upon arriving the place was busy which is why I prefaced that I've placed a take out order. No real organization in the front of the house when I came to pick up my order. I ordered truffle fries instead of regular fries with my burger. Upon getting home I realize my medium rare burger was well done no lettuce tomato or anything fries were bland with a weird funky odor. Strike three I may come back to eat in and the bar area seemed fun but I won't get takeout again until they fix it read more

Whoo hoo!!! This was a fantastic little gem. We went here based on Yelp recommendations. I have to be honest, when I saw the outside of the building, in a strip mall, we almost left. However, the inside is absolutely beautiful. It is a small restaurant that they renovated just right, to utilize maximum space without being crowded. We had two appetizers while waiting for a wedding reception to start. The food was absolutely delicious. The bartender/owner was gracious and fun. He made some outstanding cocktails. My husband and I didn't want to go to the reception because we loved this place so much! I HIGHLY recommend stopping in and trying anything off the menu. 1st time here and we were happy we stopped in! The place is casual and inviting and the staff is very friendly. Our server Sydney was very helpful and friendly. Chef/owner Constantine came out to talk with us which was a nice touch to get to know the locals. This little gem has been open for about a year but we did not know about it, so glad we found it now. The Lamb Beef Burger was delicious and the Chicken Wings with Bourbon Sauce were amazing. My wife tried the Brussel Sprouts and the Stuffed Chicken breast and was equally happy with her meal.
