I don't know.... but my husband and I went here for dinner tonight and we were not impressed. Please note, our easy date nights are numbered as I am 8 months pregnant and we're trying to take advantage of these last few Friday night. We started with the "local burrata", which was good. Though it was placed on a plate with a Mexican rice and beans mix, also pretty good. But they did not really go together. I ordered the house burger with sweet potato fries, he ordered a lamb burger with regular fries. We both ordered medium rare, neither of us mind things being cooked closer to the rare, but I think some may not have appreciated it. The first bite was good, the sauces on both burgers were good and the roll they come on were pretty tasty. Unfortunately, the quality of the meat was low and it was not seasoned at all. Really enjoyed our visit! The staff and service were outstanding. We were in the mood for a burger joint and stopped in for dinner based on the Yelp reviews. I enjoyed the "house burger", our son enjoyed his chicken tenders from the kids menu and my husband ordered the turkey burger with a cranberry mayo. I hate to say it, but the turkey burger was awful...an overcooked, dry, gray centered, flavorless hockey puck. I realize turkey burgers can be tricky, but don't put it on the menu if you can't cook it right! We will definitely visit again, but turkey is off the menu for us. Was very excited to go to this place as Monroe doesn't have a lot of casual bar/restaurants. The beer selection is minimal but isn't the usual bud light selection, so you'll be able to find a few craft beers that will interest you. There is a small amount of draft choices. The menu isn't anything special. It's your standard American meets Italian meets Mediterranean menu. I couldn't really tell what direction they were trying to take with the menu theme. Maybe they are trying to cater to all different flavors. The staff were VERY nice and was the highlight of the visit. The decor inside is a little strange, and once again, is difficult to figure out what direction they are aiming for. The food was alright, nothing spectacular. I may return here once in awhile, but it definitely isn't my new go-to. read more

I have wanted to try this for awhile and I was very happy we did yesterday. It was our anniversary so we decided to go as a family for a celebratory meal. I liked the trendy decor and welcoming atmosphere. The seamless blend of restaurant and bar was further enhanced by the simultaneous availability of lunch, brunch, and dinner items at 2pm on Sunday afternoon. Everything was wonderful and reasonably priced. The kids were happy with their cheese burgers, fries, and lemonade. We had a good Caesar salad, a nice salmon, and perfect sesame encrusted yellow fin tuna. Wines and apple pie dessert were enjoyed as well. Enjoyed a meal here for the first time tonight. Service was good. This small restaurant has a basic, healthy menu with a nice selection of wines and craft beers. Pricing is reasonable. The American burger with fries my husband ordered was cooked exactly as ordered and the fries were delicious and plentiful. Very busy on a Saturday night. Sat at the bar for dinner which is fine for me. Small but cool menu. I chose the stuffed squid, grilled tender and delicious. The meatballs were a hit as well. The star of the night was the squash ravioli finished with maple. I know usually I would expect to see that on a fall menu but it works. Prices are decent and they have a great beer selection. Came in on a Friday night and it was pretty busy but we were able to get seated right away. They have a small but good drink selection and the cheese board was awesome. I got the house burger, truffle fries and a Moscow mule and loved everything. I'll definitely be back. read more

My husband & I finally got here & we're very happy we did. We went on a Thur night & got there during their happy hour. They had a great drink selection. I enjoyed the gin cucumber cooler that they prepared specially for me making it a bit sweeter & exactly to my liking. They had a good variety of beers for my husband as well. We enjoyed the appetizers we got as well as the cheeseboard. My husband had the house burger & really was happy w that. We also had an amazing dessert which was their chocolate lava cake. The ambience is very pleasant & the staff were so welcoming & accommodating. It's not often that you feel so incredibly welcome in a restaurant. I will definitely be a repeat customer. read more

This restaurant is no longer a dog friendly restaurant. Something to do with Monroe's codes. My dog is a therapy dog so she could go but I really like to take her to pet friendly restaurants.... they are really hard to find. With that said I have been to this restaurant 3 times. The coconut app. Was good but the Brussel sprout app was burnt. My husband likes the beer here but his rib eye steak had so much fat on it. It was a terrible cut of meat. The service was very friendly but on the slow side. It's not for me but others should give it a try. read more

This place is absolutely fabulous, I am so glad I found this place on yelp. The decor in this establishment is very eye catching, and they are always quick to remove dirty plates off the table. David was a great server, and so were the rest of the staff here. They constantly checked on our table and we're very fast at getting anything we needed. When the restaurant we were going to go to was closed, my daughter in law suggested Monroe Social based on yelp reviews. I don't have enough good words for this restaurant. First and most important the food was delicious - I had the fish and chips and it was stellar, but everyone including the little ones loved their food. Now the over and above. We had a 6 and 3 year old with us. They brought out crayons right away and the kids food came out before the adults to keep the kids busy. It worked and we had a peaceful lunch. My husband and I agreed that we will be returning to the restaurant soon! read more

So glad that we went here! My spouse and I were looking for a happy hour to celebrate his birthday. Monroe Social was one of the only places open after a snow storm that shut down the state. We were there in time for happy hour, and loved the drink, wine and beer selections, especially the Bourbon Smash. Since it was my spouse's bday, the gentleman working treated us to a complimentary dessert, and when we got to talking about bourbon flavor profiles, the bartender let us try some new bourbon and ryes that they were testing out in the bar. If you're looking for a place to relax after a long week, this is not the place! There was a guy there who was reading answers to trivia questions. He was so loud we could not hear each other or the hostess. When we asked him to turn the volume down, he said no! We recently moved to Monroe and noticed this little place as we were driving around one day so we decided to try it. It has a wonderful and inviting ambiance. The food was delicious! I couldn't get enough of my burger and fries or their BBQ sauce. Even their dessert was full of flavor. My husband and I each got different flavors of cake and kept taking from each other's plates.
