What was left of the Cesar salad and dinner

Ask for Jade as your waitress. Got eggplant parm and a Cesar salad. Fantastic food. Here from Tennessee visiting. So glad that we stopped. Great Ambiance

I usually come here for events and the food was always good. So we decided to come here for dinner and they didn't disappoint. The service, the employees and the food was great. We came early so we sat at the bar and had a drink. While we were sitting there. This couple was arguing with the manager about a gift card that had no money on it that they were trying to use. The manager was very professional, calm and patient with them. She handled it very well. She ended up seating us shortly after and we let her know how well she did with that rude couple. We sat outside. It was quite and they way they have it decorated with the lights gave a beautiful ambiance. Our waitress was very nice and helpful. Everything we ordered came out quickly. We got the antipasto platter, crab stuffed mushrooms, seafood fra diavlo and Delmonico steak. Everything was delicious. We went home so full and still had food to take home. The portion sizes are huge. We can't wait to go back.

Monroe's is our goto place for Friday fish fry and the very delicious haddock French. The portions are huge. Service is great and always a great experience. It seems there is always a crowd but it does not effect the quality of preparation or service.

First time at Monroe's and was a great experience. Love the atmosphere of the location. We got to the location prior to our reservation and had a quick drink at the bar and was served promptly. Once seated, our service was great. Our appetizer, the roasted calabrian brussel sprouts, was absolutely delicious. Possibly my favorite part of the meal. Each entree came with an ample size salad with fresh veggies. My dish, the walnut crusted chicken, was a very large portion. Had plenty of leftovers to take home. Highly recommend. Definitely will be returning at some point.

Monroe's NEVER disappoints! They have a HUGE menu at reasonable prices, with the largest portions you've ever seen. The drink menu is extensive as well. They have a large indoors and outdoor space in nice weather on the patio. My personal favorite item on the menu is the walnut crusted chicken...it may sound unusual but it is the best thing I've ever tasted! Their mashed potatoes are also to die for. I've never had bad service. I always recommend Monroe's for large groups or a special occasion and I can't wait to go back!

I decided we should go for Valentine's Day! So here we are a group of 4, on Valentine's Day . Reservation was for 6 however our show ended early so we came around 5:30. Restaurant was empty except for a few people at the bar. Host was less than happy about us coming in early. We had no problem waiting. He reluctantly seats us. The waitress comes out rolls her eyes and then gives a fake smile. Maybe because our skin is brown but our money is green. Now to the food! Awful and severely over priced! We have been too many expensive restaurants that can walk the walk. Erie Grill can't even crawl. Caesar salad $25 (serves one, not an entree), chicken lollipops $16 end up being two chicken legs. The others ordered wagu meatloaf. It definitely tasted frozen. I order tuna tartar wontons (Nosh's Ahi tuna wontons would murder these) and a bowl of jambalaya (meh). It has definitely taken me one month to get over this experience. Nice hotel well that's all I can say! PS. Manager seemed to be "taste testing" booze in the back. Unprofessional!

Nico was very busy, maybe too much so, to give prompt service. Same goes for the hostess who could even get to us as she was tasked with a big take-out order. Once Nico finally caught up he was entertaining and responsive. I think staffing needs improvement or reservations need to be spaced out better if they can't staff! They stretched themselves too thin having parties going in the back room at the expense of the main dining room. Once we got going, food and service was excellent. We had chicken parm, crab filled haddock, gnocchi, and shrimp. All were delicious. But the actual highlight for my wife and me was a shared wedge salad. The dressing was fantastic. I enjoyed mine, but my dining companion's (the Saturn) tasted like straight juice. With dinner, I wanted to get a draft beer and was able to sample the two IPAs. While one was tasty, I didn't order one because the beer was lukewarm. I got a burger, and companion got the black cod. The burger is $32 and a full pound and served with a heap of fries. For the price, less than impressed. The overly thick patty was just too much. It was dry and just not for me. I would rather have two well-seasoned and juicy thinner patties. The fries and sauce were good. But not $32 worth of good. The cod itself was decent but it came in a sauce that was cold and odd tasting. Ambiance is fine. It was loud and crowded, but clean. Service was friendly.

While planning our dinner party months in advance, the communication from Janine was excellent. She helped us develop a 4-course menu that was sure to have something for everyone, including vegan and allergy friendly options. Amy was our server for the evening, and she ensured we had everything we needed to enjoy our evening. The chairs in the Meyer's Den are wide and comfortable, the decor is dark and classy, and being in the basement away from the dining room made it very quiet and easy to converse with family. The room is rather spacious for 12 guests, but could also accommodate a few more people without feeling cramped. Out of the appetizers we selected, the Charred Octopus was very popular and everyone enjoyed it...even those that had never previously eaten octopus. The baby cauliflower dish was also a beautiful presentation, and quite large and enjoyable. The salads, particularly the Charred Hurricane salad, were nice light courses before the entree was served. As for the entrees, the filet mignon was a little on the dry side, but we really enjoyed the light and crispy spinach fritters that accompanied the beef. The salmon was a generous portion of medium rare fish, and there was lot going on with that dish - spicy cauliflower and za'atar potatoes that had some mixed reviews. Folks who ordered the duck breast seemed to enjoy the complex preparation, which had asparagus, green beans, and two pureed sauces - cauliflower ginger and cherry-rhubarb. The doughnut bread pudding with apple pieces and vanilla ice cream was a delicious, decadent way to end the meal. We left rather stuffed, and delighted with the overall experience that allowed our family to celebrate together.
