I wish I could give it more stars...but unfortunately this location I cannot. The food was a solid 4 stars but the slooooow service is a solid 1.5-2. The place was relatively empty but to get my fried pickle app it was about a 25 minute wait. Cob salad was good...but had to get my own fork and napkin off of another table. Most likely won't go back despite this place being right beside my hotel.

There is one other review as of this writing, and it's worth a read. As you can see from the other review, the performance/quality of this Montana's is erratic. It seems like they have some poor choice in staff working at times. I ordered steak & ribs. Asked for my steak to be done medium-well. It was overcooked, dry, and far from tender. My friend with whom I went said that last time his steak was excellent. My ribs were really good. So, as per the other review, stick to what Montana's is known for - ribs - anything else seems like a gamble (except for stuff like pop/soda which would be incredibly pathetic to screw up). There are plenty of other places to eat in the area, so use your Yelp powers and find something better, unless you are on a mission for ribs.

Amanda and I decided we would spend Saturday with my parents and since we were in St. Catherines my father recommended we have lunch at Montana's. It had been a long time since we had been to one so we decided why not. We had a great meal and we will definitely be going back. We weren't really sure what we wanted when we came in but thankfully they had the perfect option for us, the BBQ Sampler. Amanda and I split one and my parents split one. We liked everything on it. Ours had pulled pork (x2) chicken dippers and steak bits and my parents had ribs (x2) and the steak and chicken as well. For our sides we had salad, sweet potato fries and fried pickles. Everything was great. The chicken was moist and the pulled pork was just awesome! As for value it was great. The serving sizes of each item were bigger then I had expected out of a sampler and we ended up full and taking some home. We will definitely be back to get this again.

Had the all you can eat ribs with apple butter sauce and fries, everything was tasty and our server Carrie was friendly and fast, even with the refill of ribs and fries.

We were seated after a few minutes at a table in the corner, which had enough room for the four of us. I had settled on the Triple D breakfast, while my husband had settled on the eggs benedict, and my kids the French toast bites and kids egg breakfast. Overall, the food was well-portioned, and cooked well. We could tell that the ingredients were fresh, and that the chef took his/her time to cook the meal, as the eggs were cooked completely through. Considering the prices that we had paid, we were stuffed, and didn't have to eat until later on in the evening. The food did take long though, and we had to wait in-line for a bit to pay for the bill. Service was good, as the waitress came to check on us a few times during our meal. Overall, a great place to start the day!

The large tray is filled with chips covered in lettuce, black beans, melted cheese, chopped onions and tomatoes. There were small containers of sour cream, jalapeños, and salsa for dipping. Unfortunately after we finished our nachos we found out that even as a happy hour special($10.00), we could have added spicy beef or chicken, making the nacho platter a more complete meal. Our second happy hour appetizer was the crunchy chicken bites. We picked the Spicy Thai sauce. The bites were very crunchy and had a nice sweet heat. There is a promotion going on. If one writes a positive Google review and shows it to the waitress, you can get another appetizer. It's a spinach dip with pita chips. We got it to go. It may not have been a typical meal, but it was filling and delicious.

After three wineries, my husband was definitely ready for some food. When you walk in, you definitely feel like you're entering an English pub! The bar, and place, ent of the bar was very traditional to pubs in the UK. Our server Lawerence definitely helped with his English accent! When asked where he was from, he said Bristol! He came to Canada after her sister relocated. He originally was a cook, but given his accent, they asked hi. To move to the front! Well done. He was a great server too! Very friendly! We decided to share the sausage rolls and shepherds pie. My husband had two Guinness! I'm not sure where he put it in top of the wine, but glad I was driving. The sausage rolls were very tasty. The mustard that came for dipping was the perfect accompaniment. The shepherd's pie had a dark Guinness gravy that was rich and flavorful. I enjoyed the side of peas and carrots too! Sharing these two was the perfect amount, however we wished we'd got the poutine! It looked amazing, it would've been too much food though. Guess we will need to return! PS: loved seeing the sign for Upper Canada Brewing company! In 1988, I visited them with my college partner as we did a college paper on microbrewers! At that time, they were one of a few. We also had visited Great Lakes brewing in CLE! The microbrewing industry exploded shortly there after! Was a great personal walk down memory lane for my college days!! While Upper Canada was sold, was just excellent to see an old sign!

A couple Saturdays ago, I was running a few errands. Once I was done, I felt like visiting a diner for lunch. I did a search and found Poached Dreams Diner in Aurora. I didn't mind driving up from Markham to check it out. It was straightforward getting here. I parked in the parking lot and walked in from what looked like the back of the diner. There's also a front door with a patio that faces Wellington Street East. I was immediately greeted by a young, enthusiast woman. I let her know that I needed a table for one. She got me to a comfortable booth by the window. The catch is that you have to watch your step to get to your seat. It's a treat when I have breakfast out. I thought that I'd be getting french toast. Well, all that changed when I saw a heading for comfort foods on the menu. Nothing makes me happier than seeing open-faced sandwiches on a menu. It was probably during my days living in Winnipeg that I fell in love with such sandwiches and at least a side. New goal: come here and have every open-faced sandwich on the menu. I got cold water to start. It was refreshing and much needed after running errands. I ordered these items for my meal: - Diet Coke (2) - Hot turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and veggies My Diet Coke came with a glass with ice. I loved it. I wish the can was larger! I needed a second can for dessert. I loved my hot turkey sandwich. There was a generous amount of sliced turkey smothered in sauce over a slice of white bread. I got to choose my starch. I went with mashed potatoes. There was enough gravy over the turkey that I dunked my spoonfuls of mashed potatoes into it. I loved the steamed veggies. They were perfectly cooked. They also went into the gravy. The meal was delicious. I'd order it again. I felt like dessert. I asked if there was any. Baklava with pistachios. I said yes. I thought that it would be a square or rectangle. Nope. I got a roll. Cool! It was perfect. It had the right amount of honey. It was crispy and yummy. So good! I paid my bill at the table. I tipped and then tapped my credit card. I elected to have the receipt texted to my phone, which also signed me up for its points program. Yay! I learned that this diner has been open since June 2025. I'm always late to any party because I seem to live under a rock or in a cave. I'm glad that I visited this eatery. Great food. Great service. Great! I used the washroom before I left. The women's washroom was clean and had a full-length mirror. This eatery is huge. It looks like there's a cafe for those grabbing coffee and maybe a snack before leaving. I look forward to returning for more good eats and drinks. (148)

For drinks, my wife and I each grabbed a bottle of Rickard's. They serve it in a frosted glass which is a nice touch, but... the price was pretty wild. Paying around $9-$11 for a bottle/can felt a bit excessive. We started with the Broccoli Cheese Poppers, which we've ordered at other spots before since they're usually vegetarian-friendly (my wife is pescatarian). I thought they were really tasty, but unfortunately my wife had almost finished one before realizing there was bacon inside...and it wasn't listed on the menu. When we asked to confirm, it was pretty disappointing. She was understandably upset, especially since she's been pescatarian for over 10 years. It would've gone a long way if they at least took it off the bill, but they didn't, and that definitely hurt the overall experience. For mains, I ordered JJ's Meatloaf; really solid dish. The mashed potatoes were a highlight, veggies were cooked nicely, and everything had great flavour. Only downside was the bun that came with it got pretty soggy. My wife ordered the Grilled Fish Panini; she liked it, not amazing, but good. The fish was fresh and flaky, and the bread had a nice garlic bread vibe. Overall, it's a decent spot with good food and a nice setting, but the beer prices and the issue with the unlisted bacon definitely took away from the experience.
