Nice affordable Dog friendly place to stay. We book a regular room because we mostly will be outside. In September, the weather isn't too hot and because it's out of season, everything seemed to be good enough, I can enjoy the garden and pool as much as I want. Our regular room is okay, not many amenities. You must check what they will offer you in the room before you book it. I check and prepare everything I need to use that they don't have. The room is small so one AC is good and sometimes we have to turn it off because it is too cold. The motel has great garden spaces, the garden around the pool and the back garden that decorate with Budda statue, beautiful painting and calm music. It was raining during the stay, so they put carpet all over the walkway, so it is wet. Some water drops from the second-floor balcony. And the worst part is next door put his pants outside and smell is TERRIBLE! My dog is freak out during the night because the second floor keep running around and it is very loud. The reception and housekeeper are nice. Somehow my phone has no connection, so I mostly use the place Wi-Fi instead. Overall, I couldn't complain too much because the price we get is good for the pet friendly place to stay in Montauk. If you do the research and compare your options of the place you want to stay, I believe you won't get so much of disappointment.

Good location for sure and pretty comfortable beds. Close to many sights and restaurants. The onsite pool was nice with some nice areas to sit. There were definitely a lot of room for improvement however. There was only one AC in the livingroom but we booked a two bedrooms apartment. We were all hot in the rooms at night with the doors closed. Only one room had black out shades. We booked an apartment with a sofa bed in the livingroom and there was no blackout shade there either. It made sleeping in hard for sure with all the light. There was a coffee machine in the room but no coffee. With the priced we paid, any coffee inside the room would be appreciated. Also there was no hair dryer as advertised. Also the table TV was hard to work with. Otherwise, good location again and easy check in and check out. Plenty of parking.

We had a great stay at Kenny's Tipperary Inn. We were a group of girls staying in the two bedroom apartment. This included one bedroom with a king bed, one bedroom with a queen beed, and a living room with a futon + a kitchen area. This was about $835 a night total including tax. Kenny's is in Montauk in a great location - there were some places walking distance (E.g., TT's, Grey Lady, Lynn's Hula Hut) and the other places we went in Montauk were about 10-15 minute drive away. The pool was nice and clean and the apartment seemed to have been updated recently and was also clean. I'm giving this 5 stars with the caveat of this is what was in our price point in Montauk. It's still a motel/airbnb type vibe, rather than a nice fancy hotel, but it went above our expectations and we would stay again!

Really unique atmosphere in a perfect location! Close to the marina and about a 5 minute drive to town. We came here to celebrate our anniversary and just loved it! Room was clean and spacious with a mini fridge which was great! The grounds of the motel were pristine with really cute eclectic touches like flower tables and the zen gazebo. Would highly recommend and definitely coming back!

This is the lovely front door. Look behind that ratty curtain and you'll see that the glass door has been KICKED IN. NOT SAFE.

Read their posting: "Quality," "well maintained" is all b*llsh*t. If there is ANYPLACE within 50 miles, go there instead. This place is VERY poorly maintained, in disgusting condition, staff are snarly, and they charge $650/night for a seedy run-down motel room!?! Have a look a the photos. This is from July 2021. The owners should go to prison. The advertising is false. This place is trashed and they don't care because of high demand.. They charge $650 for a room that should be $39. I asked for, and finally received a partial refund. DO NOT STAY THERE. You have been warned.

Great place to stay - especially if you travel with your pups. Very nice, well-appointed room right by the Harbour. The staircase and lighting coukd use a little work which is why I didn't give all five stars.

Here's the thing: MTK is not the getaway from the tragically hip urbanites it once was. Used to be that they would flock to the Hamptons and MTK was left pristine from pricks. Now? Hmmmmm notsomuch. But those in the know avoid the ridiculous posers and appreciate the beautiful small town for what it is: unbelievably unspoiled beach, bay, biking, running, fresh from the boat seafood and a place to relax and unwind in this soothing paradise. Hadn't been to Kenny's in 15 years, it is a small, rustic inn steps away from West Lake Marinas/Docks and some of the finest food (Salivar's, The Dock, Liar's, Hula Hut, West Lake Fish House, Gosman's, Swallow East) and drink in town. It is not fancy. Our one bedroom suite had a gigantic kitchen/den dishwasher, granite countertops full sized fridge and a large flat screen (and another in King BR) There was also a seating area and a pull out couch if you had an extra guest. It was nice to be able to cook a quick pre run Breakkie or snack and have everything necessary to do so already there. The BR was large enough, bed was dream inducing and while the bathroom was tiny, my BF joked the walk in closet was larger than most Studio Apts in the city. The patio in front of each room had a table and chairs, and these or the Zen Garden were the scene of sunset Champs and whispered sweet nothings. The pool was not opening for a few more days, but we were steps from the ocean/Bay/Sound...who needed a pool? Jamie at the Front Desk was charming and helpful, always greeting with a smile. His tips for pubbin & grubbin were spot on. Honestly, it is not the fanciest place to stay, but we didn't go to "The End" to stay in our room. We went to soak up as much natural beauty and relaxation as possible and Kenny's helped us accomplish that mission. Manucci's Restaurant on property served up one of the largest Chicken Parms I've ever seen (another review) and has a full bar and breakfast buffet. Not only would I recommend staying here, I plan to again ASAP. If it is doable, we'll see you during my next trip home in a few months. You can spend a helluva a lot more $$$ on lodging, but why?! Leave Star Island to the invaders, we'll take West Lake. Such a fan!

I have to admit something embarrassing here. I have been fascinated by Montauk ever since seeing Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Yes, those words "Meet me in Montauk" really stuck with me and made me say, "Yes, let me go meet you in Montauk and see how it is." So when I was given the job of watching my parents' car for 2 weeks I decided to pack up the boyfriend and drive out to Montauk. Just to see what all the fuss is about. Well, we found MANY places that explained what all the fuss was about. The Tipperary Inn was not one of them. It was fine enough for an impromptu overnight in Montauk but nothing I would feel the need to do again. They had someone filling in for the real manager and she didn't know how to swipe a credit card. Then someone else came and couldn't figure out how to swipe my card either. Finally they requested that I take the cash out for the stay. That did not fill me with joy but it was virtually the only room available in the whole town. The room was fine. Pretty spacious, not that expensive, little balcony thing that looked onto the parking lot. But the door never felt like it really locked, there was a very long window with no curtain right above the bed and the TV had no channels except for a few fuzzy ones. Meh. I'd give it a 2.5 if I could but it was just OKAY. If you can stay somewhere else...do it. But if you're in a bind this place is fine.

that was behind my bed on the boxspring. BYE no thanks. don't stay here

ants. that's all i'm saying. ants everywhere. do not stay unless you truly want a shitty night sleep or don't care about your mental health either. helllllll no. this was the reason for a part of the ant problem we had

Starting with the room, the size was good, but it could have been cleaner. I noticed some dust and dirt in the corners, and the room felt like it could use an update. The coffee machine looked older and wasn't very clean, the refrigerator wasn't working properly, and there wasn't an ice machine nearby--you have to call the front desk for ice. At night, the room wasn't very soundproof. You can hear footsteps from the room above, along with other noises, so if you're a light sleeper, it's something to keep in mind. On the weekend, the hotel was lively because of a wedding and the nightclub. There was music until around midnight, and when guests left, the noise from the cars made it difficult to get a full night's sleep. The food and drinks were very good, although they were on the expensive side. I was happy with the quality of the dining experience. Most of the staff were fine, though I noticed a few employees who seemed less welcoming. Thankfully, everyone I interacted with was polite. The overall atmosphere was the highlight of my stay. The property has a beautiful, relaxing vibe with a classy crowd, and I especially loved the morning yoga classes. I spent about $5,000 for a two-night stay, so I expected a more luxurious room experience. Mine was one of the more affordable room categories, and it didn't feel especially upscale for the price. Next time, I would probably visit for the food, drinks, beach, or spa day pass instead of staying overnight. If you're looking for a lively resort with plenty of events and activities, this is a great choice. If you're looking for a very quiet hotel, you may want to consider other options.

Upon arrival, was notified that the pool was out of service because the heater went down. They said I should have received a call. I didn't. After learning this, we figured we would spend most of our time in the hot tubs. Turns out, the heater went down for those also didn't work. The pool and the hot tubs were basically polar plunges. We booked a corner ocean view with a large balcony. The room itself was nice. Large, spacious and a wonderful shower with very nice water pressure. However, the room had ants. And a lot of them. I wish I took pictures. For a newly renovated property, you would think the HVAC systems would have been upgraded. But no. The heating in the room was so loud we actually had to turn it off in the middle of the night because it prevented us from sleeping. This property as a whole puts A-LOT of money on the esthetics. The lighting it beautiful, the wall decor is gorgeous, but it's the the things you don't see easily that need help. Ripped cushions, rotting wood on the patio, ants, poor HVAC, and clearly not a 24/7 on call pool repair for a resort that in the summer time charges $1500 a night for a basic room. Again, you book a winter getaway at a place like this to enjoy the pool and spa. When it's not working properly it just ruins the entire trip and there is no point in staying there. A seperate review of the restaurant was already posted by me. The restaurant was the saving grace. But I absolutely will not stay at this property again.
