Great location, cute inside. Friendly staff. We had pad Thai and lettuce wrap. We've eaten these dishes at many places, but this food was unrecognizable as Thai food. No flavors that one would expect in Thai food. The chicken lettuce wrap was more carrots than chicken and the lettuce was limp and couldn't hold any contents. The pad Thai was drowning a sloppy sauce. We're not going back, even for the American food. Never been quite so dissatisfied eating anywhere. read more

My husband and I came here tonight and absolutely loved it! We shared the yellow curry chicken and the chicken pad thai. The chicken pad thai was our favorite of the two, one of the best pad thai's we've had. We ended our meal with the mango sticky rice and it was incredible! Seriously the best sticky rice we've ever had. We also loved how it was presented like a parfait. Our dishes were all beautifully plated and the staff was friendly. We loved the environment of this place too, so cute! What impressed me the most was how fresh everything was, it came out in good timing and was steaming hot. We'll be back for sure! read more

Tried this little restaurant on a whim. Probably more 3.5 stars but I'll round up:) had the chicken curry bowl. It was quite tasty, but I felt it was very similar to something you would get at Zao. Also got the lettuce wraps, we really liked them. My husband had the pad Thai and would rate it 3.5. The menu was quite small. The restaurant lacked charm and ambience. Our waitress was wonderful and very informative. The best thing we had however was the dessert-mango coconut sticky rice! It was the best we've ever had. Delicious. We happened upon Montauk searching for a good dinner spot on yelp. The menu looked good so we gave it a shot and we are glad we did! The menu is a New American / Asian Fusion. I opted for their Rib Eye Burger and my wife did the Yellow Curry Bowl. Bowl were excellent and I must say that truly the burger was one of the better ones I have had in my life (not a statement I would make flippantly!). I've been here numerous times already. As a lover of Pad Thai, I've never had better. Their wedge salad is excellent, and their ham and french cheese sandwich is absolutely killer. I love the atmosphere-the food is excellent, they support local businesses, and they're nice people. I'm so glad there's a new place to go in Draper with excellent food and decent prices. Sorry Food for Thought-too expensive and portions too small. This restaurant seems to have gone to great lengths to get the best ingredients possible. As they say, the proof is in the pudding! My friends and I visited this place and we were not disappointed! All the food is made to order so it does take a little time for the food to come out, but the wait was not bad at all! The ham and cheese sandwich was delicious and the crepes were filled with bananas and cinnamon. The owners were also very sweet and made sure that we were well cared for during our meal! Montauk is a quaint restaurant with the best owners in the world. The food, also remarkable. They source locally and provide a great selection of food. You're feeling thai? Montauk is your place. Vietnamese? Pho is off the charts. Indian? Curry bowl is to die for. American? The burger is cooked to perfection each time and has a greatly complex flavor. I have tried almost all items from the menu and truly, the fried rice is unlike any I have tried before. It is phenomenal! Definitely worth a stop. Even just to talk to the owners. read more

I was really excited to try this place since I drive by it all the time. I was really disappointed unfortunately. It is easy to tell that this place is run by people who have not worked in the restaurant business previously. The food was plated sloppily and the water was lukewarm. After we were asked multiple times by the owner what we thought, we said it was okay (which was being polite because neither of us enjoyed our meals) he got very weird and defensive. He made the entire encounter very, very uncomfortable and we do not plan on returning. The food was bland and was poor rendition of Asian cuisine. read more

Fantastic little place, small menu but you can tell that they spend a lot of time making sure that what they do, they do well. I had the Yellow Curry Bowl, which was very flavorful - the chicken was cooked really well and had excellent flavor, and loved all the fresh veggies. I did have to spice it up a bit, but that's likely just personal preference. My wife had the French Dip, and I loved that they used the Pho broth as the base for the "Pho-jus". I am not a "plate cleaner" I never ever finish a meal. I ate every bit of what I was served. The man working was an absolute pleasure to be around and was aware of our needs during our meal. Cool little place tucked in the old part of Draper. (My parents actually owned the original house years ago and many of the original fixtures are still there.) Draper has needed more foodie gems like Montauk Bistro. Went for dinner with the family and had the chicken lettuce wraps, pad Thai, Pho, Fried Rice and mango rice dessert. Everything was so good. They accommodated a shellfish allergy and the service and speed was perfect. My favorite was probably the Chicken Lettuce Wraps and Pad Thai, but it was all delicious. Don't be intimidated by the smaller menu, just try something new and appreciate the flavor that shows up at the table. The prices are also very good, it is by far the best meal for the price I've ever had in Draper or anywhere in Utah for that matter. Ditch the franchises and branch out, you won't be disappointed. I was skeptical at first site but wanted to try something new (Breakfast), after figuring out the parking I was greeted by who I thought was the owner, she made us feel at home and she was very happy and welcoming. After discussing some gluten free options which they didn't have on the menu but was very accommodating and wanted to to make up something we could agree with. We were not disappointed!! The location is small, but worked perfectly for our party of six with a reservation (parking is limited in back). The menu is limited, but everything was fresh. Our waitress told us the Pad Thai was their most popular dish. We tried it and were sadly disappointed. The sweetness was overpowering and didn't taste very authentic. Back to the ribeye burger. Yum. Don't be scared by the pink center. The burger was delicious. Everyone at our table agreed. The caramelized onions, subtle peppercorn aioli and the soft bun were the perfect combo. The salad on the side was also light and refreshing. I wish I would have ordered my own mango sticky rice so I didn't have to share with my husband. It was THAT good. I'm dying to go back and try the Saturday crepe brunch. read more
