I don't think I've ever had necessarily a good experience at any dentists office but I love this office it's never over crowded the service is good they explain everything well and don't have you waiting too long and it seems like they really care about their patients and what's best for them and their finances they're very understanding. If I could write a review with 0 stars, best believe I would. Not only are the staff Maria and her front office assistant extremely rude and unprofessional, they are also very arrogant and do not know half of what they are talking about when informing patients of billing questions. The documents I requested did not match the level of accuracy in which I would have expected. They do not explain anything other than print a basic meaningless statement and circle a phone number to call the provider if there is any questions. My questions were in regard to what insurance was being used and exactly what did it cover as far as the treatment that is being given and out of pocket costs as I feel they are not billing correctly. It is my opinion that they are billing outside of insurance as the out of pocket cost is more effective monetary wise rather than what the insurance would pay. These two also violated HIPPA and have no right to discuss any concerns one has to anyone else other than the dentist. Aside from that, I called to make a formal complaint to the manager and "Maria" immediately responds with "I am the manager." I started to address my complaint when her immediate response was "If your calling about (she states a patients name)" I immediately fired back in anger stating I do not want to talk to you, I want to speak with someone above you. Maria then goes on to say "I will document what you are saying and forward it to the regional manager." She apparently thinks that I am going to trust that she is going to do so when she would probably ignore this whole situation and act as though this verbal dispute never happened. I asked for the phone number to the regional manager and demanded that I speak to them at once, and as the expected behavior by any immature, unprofessional and arrogant person, she hung up on me. Not only am I disgusted by this amateur behavior, but I am in process of making a complaint against the dental board as this behavior is unacceptable and outrageous. These two women need to be reprimanded if not fired for this. There is now great concern and I do not trust either of these two with any questions I have regarding my child. Not only do they have no billing experience whatsoever, I feel they use some tactic to charge patients out of pocket expenses for treatments that insurance should be covering. Lastly, I would not put it past these two to do what they do best and gossip about this whole situation and discuss this review as it is obvious that GOSSIP IS THE ONE SINGLE SKILL THAT THEY EXPERTS IN. I faxed a document from the Medi-Cal office to the ODG office in Rancho Cucamonga because Medi-Cal's record of my son's eligibility had not yet been updated on their website. The receptionist will not make an appointment for my son until Medi-Cal's website is updated?! This doesn't make any sense. Government websites may take a long time to be updated and reflect a member's eligibility, so this is why the Verification of Benefit's document can be provided to a Provider. To date, this office is still refusing to make an appointment for my son. Incredible!!! read more

this place is horrible it's a complete joke I had some dental work that needed to get done in my mouth it was pretty extensive but there was no pain I went to these guys and they started on the work putting crowns on 4 of my teeth, well one of the crowns something was wrong and I'm in excruciating pain but the fact I missed a few appointments because my father is 95 years old he's very old and I miss these appointments due to him falling in his facility in Orange County and I live these canceled or didn't show up pertaining to my father I had to go and help him. back to let them know the pain first off they never returned my phone calls when I leave middle of the night when I'm I can't sleep because the pain is so severe they never call me I've let them know that I'm moving which I'm moving this Friday and up the truck tomorrow the is so severe like the whole side of my head is hurting I called them today and I think they were just ignoring my call because it rang for about 20 minutes and I spoke and she said pain is probably you missed your last appointment and there was work had to be done my last appointment with a cleaning they never scheduled any appointment for the work that had to be done as far as root canals there was no appointment scheduled and I pointed that out I said this isn't pain because I had nothing to do with any work done I explained I miss the appointment because it's my father he's 90 years old and he falls a lot and I think I was late to a couple appointments because of my daughter and something has she had going to school I'm a single father I explained I can't pay $80 I don't have $80 and I said I'm moving Friday I have to pick up a truck tomorrow and this pain is so excruciating she said she will schedule you for a check up tomorrow and I said I can't deal with this pain tomorrow and she just continue to start talking over me when I was trying to explain to her that I had a truck I had to pick up tomorrow out to Chico from Southern California with my daughter loading everything myself doing everything myself paying for everything myself she didn't care she just to talk over me until I had to raise my voice and tell her to stop talking and let me speak so she understand what the situation is I said I can't go the rest of the day with this pain it hurts too bad and she told me to stop raising my voice and I just can't I can't deal with this this incompetent stupid stupidity of these people at this office the pain is so severe I had went to another dentist I didn't go back to them about two weeks ago and the guy can't do anything because my insurance is with them and they can't schedule anything and it would take far too long for to work with my insurance but he said he sees information around one of the crowns that was put on and he gave me 800 mg of ibuprofen and hold me through and I was office for five minutes and that's what he gave me because he could tell the damage that was done in my mouth and these people don't even wanna work with me to get that I need if I had a dentist and I severe pain my dentist before would have come in immediately to see what was going on and they're trying to schedule me for tomorrow so I have to deal with the pain all night again not sleep it's ridiculous I do not recommend going to them at all find a bigger health dental group than this place because it's a joke they're horrible people read more

First time visiting this dentistry office as I was a referred patient from my dentist office, noticed that there was no sign outside of business showing ocean dental group , place looks very rundown outside of business couldn't believe that this was an actual dentist office. The receptionist to the left side of office claims to be the manager but none of the office staff had any name tags on person, the receptionist is very rude and very unprofessional as she has a power trip due to her position, doesn't greet anyone as patients enter office building, receptionist is slow when asking about a copy of new patient paper work as the receptionist is rude in delivering her response with having the patient wait till your done with the visit, as I was getting my x-rays done the dental instruments used on myself where sprayed down with lysol The cleaning solution, I mentioned that my mouth tastes like cleaning soap and the X-ray employee mentioned they spray down all dentist equipment with Lysol which in its self is not safe to ingest, leading to continually spitting out this cleaning solution product from my mouth, there 3D machine that takes x rays was broken and had to be restarted 3 separate times, as they lead me away to another area the blinds where broken and missing so I had the glare right in my eyes from outside cars, after waiting a while the female dentist comes around but instead of communicating with myself the treatment plan I was told the employee would go over it which is very odd very strange and worrying , after explaining next steps from the employee , my visit was done I had asked to get a copy of treatment plan and was told by employee you can get it in front , so I'm back in the front office and employee mentioned that I would like a copy of treatment plan and the very rude /unprofessional receptionist Aka manager tells employee with a ULGY attitude that she already made copys, as I approached the front disk I mentioned to the receptionist aka manager if she made a copy of my treatment plan also and of course she has a bad ULGY response and said " I'll get it in a little bit " after dealing with this rude receptionist behavior , I called her out and said your very rude and unprofessional and have a terrible attitude once that was said she told me to leave the office and there not giving me my treatment copy because I'm not getting treatment with them, I asked receptionist her name which she gave but couldn't remember it as she was saying it fast, I then asked the receptionist aka manager show me the policy where it says ocean dental group has a right to refuse treatment copy's if patient isn't getting treatment anymore, and the receptionist aka manager said leave the office I'm not welcome and I need to leave and I responded because I'm asking for a copy of my treatment plan and your now refusing because I called you out for being rude and unprofessional, I continued to say I'm a first time patient that was referred by my dentist and this is how ocean dental group treats new patients , I have a right to get a copy of my treatment plan and as I mentioned to the receptionist aka manager what her name was she then gave me a totally different name which I stated your now lying about your real name after that I told the receptionist aka manager that I was going to record you so I can show my dentist what your office to putting me through and how your office is treating me the receptionist then hides her face gets up tells everyone to not give her her name and clears the front desk area and as I'm trying to get her name from other employees they ignore me and run to the back room, mind you theres 3 different patients in the waiting area observing everything as a first time new patient, the female dentist comes at me hot and heavy telling me it's against the law to record without there permission but as I mentioned is was mentioned with the receptionist aka manager that I would be recording, I was then threatened by the dentist that she will call the police on me because the office staff are threatened by me and the female dentist acting very belligerent told me to delete my recordings and I mentioned to the female dentist I'm not doing that because I'm showing my dentist how this office overreacted and become very unprofessional and rude to me as a new first time referred patient all because I wanted a copy of my treatment plan, I was getting ready to exit as the female dentist said I was afraid of the police and why was I leaving, I should stay to get arrested which in its self is absurd, I told her I would be leaving a very detail yelp review to warn others of the business establishment called ocean dental group. The Stuff was rude and little knowledgeable about Kaiser offer dental insurance to children. I called 10 mins ago to ask the stuff who answered the phone to check if my daughters' insurance is still good to get the service from this office. She asked what insurance we have, and I told her that we are with Kaiser. And she said Kaiser doesn't offer dental insurance. Then I told her that we 've been there to check my daughters' teeth by Doctor Wang who speaks Mandarin last year when we had Kaiser insurance. I asked her for appointments for my daughters, and she told me Kaiser doesn't offer dental insurance. And I asked her to help check my daughters name and records in their system for her to understand that this office did accept Kaiser's dental insurance for the last time visit of my daughters'. And I told her we've already been there multiple times with Kaiser's insurance. In the beginning, she refused to check my daughter's records in the system and kept telling me that Kaiser doesn't offer dental insurance! And I asked her again to help check in the system to see my daughter's records, then she was trying to make me to listen to her a lot of shit about insurance without just moved her finger to check on the laptop. I started yelling her that why you can't just help to check my daughters name in the computer? Then she was arguing with me that Kaiser doesn't offer dental insurance However, I insisted my claims and made an effort by keeping asking her to help check my daughters' name, finally she did and she found my daughters' name in the system who are their patients with the same insurance that the one we had been arguing about ---Kaiser! , and I asked her to make apologize to me for her not being helpful, and she refused and hang off my phone. I called back another stuff who claimed she is an office manager named Maria there and I told her the whole story and asked her to have the previous stuff who hanged off my phone to apologize to me, and this office manager is even worse, she said the stuff who hanged off my phone was doing right, and she refused to solve the issue because I had yelled to the rude, unhelpful, arrogant stuff. And I explained that the stuff was not even unhelpful but also giving me hard time and refused to make appointments for me just for the thought that she thinks Kaiser doesn't offer dental insurance! And the Manger Maria said "Yes, she's right, Kaiser doesn't offer dental insurance! ' The manager Maria didn't explain that why my daughters got the dental service with Kaiser insurance last year when she saw that the stuff found my daughters' name in their system! I was trying to say that the system showing my daughters name there proves that we did got the service with this Kaiser insurance. And that means this dental office does accept Kaiser's dental insurance! The manger Maria was still covering up the rude stuff without provide any what an office manager should to do with a customer who suffer a such bad patient service! I finally asked to talk to Doctor Wang who speak mandarin, but the manager said there is no need to talk to the Doctor Wang! So I went there few days before the new year so they can do pano x ray and everything so then it was my second time there at the office I went there before they did x ray and then they called me and I was already left for school to a different state that was 2021now when I went back this time they ask for clearance from my family doctor and I went I got them clearance I gave it to them and I was waiting on their call I called two weeks ago and the lady said oh we forgot to submit it I'm gonna do it right now and call us back in two weeks so I called today no one answered I left a message and sure enough no one returned my call so I call again and whoever answered the phone she was talking to me like she's mad to be there anyway I asked like if I can take appointment and she was we're not going to treat you over here I was can I know the reason and she mentioned that they needed a clearance I was I already got that and I dropped off and she was like yeah the doctor not going to do it because you need like hospital kind of thing and she wanted to give some other address and I was like you know what thank you have done plenty like I been waiting for nothing.
