Went back again to my neighborhood Italian Cuban fusion restaurant. Nice decor and good space. They did a great job with the outside Terrace. It's actually enclosed and you can actually sit there normally now. Good appetizer selections they have a few glasses by of wine by the glass and a good selection of bottles. You can order also some cocktails too. We ordered the bruschetta, which is very good properly done and also we ordered the garbanzo beans with the chorizo, which was amazing. I ordered the fettuccine pasta with fungi and I added chicken and it was a great portion and it was delicious. It also had a hint of truffle in it My wife ordered the risotto with chicken also on it portions of chicken or not sliced, but they were plenty. The risotto was not as much as I expected, but it was very tasty. The only complain I have is that it was not hot. It was warm. My food was very hot and very delicious. Service is good. I think our lady was overwhelmed with the table that was large, but she still pulled through and gave us good. Service management is visible and very attentive. Also, the menu is very fast and versatile, great place and ride in our neighborhood.

Montecatini has definitely become one of my go to spots. Food is delicious, they have a pretty extensive menu combining Italian and Cuban food which is amazing. Service is great, staff is friendly and helpful, and I would describe the ambience as very calm, specially if you choose to sit outside in the terrace area, is so much more quieter and relaxing than inside. Will be coming back for sure :)

Presentation, service and flavors!! this place is truly a local hidden gem. You can find a little bit of everything on this menu that will appease even the pickiest of eaters. We came here to celebrate my mom's birthday since my mother is a big seafood lover and I on the other hand, a big pasta lover! I loved that you could find Italian, Spanish and Cuban food all on menu, definitely a spot you can bring people from out of town that want to try a bit of local cuisine. What we ordered: Arugula prosciutto salad: had a lemon dressing that was perfectly balanced with the salty prosciutto. Shrimp stuffed Tostones: came cooked in a red sauce gave notes of creole seasoning, very delicious! Seafood Paella: came with large meaty shrimp, calamari and clams. Tasted very fresh and totally worth it. Fettuccine mushroom and truffle pasta: was deliciously creamy and cheesy, came with lots of mushroom! Lasagna: cheesy, ooey gooey goodness! The lasagna was cooked to a perfect temperature. The cheese pull was real! Crème brûlée: so good! Not too sweet and had the perfect torched crust. I can confidently say that I found a new favorite spot and that I will be coming here again.

Beautifully decorated restaurant with an inviting ambiance. Coming in on a Thursday night, we were seated right away and given bread. The menu is huge and only written in Spanish. The online menu is in English. My son ordered a cheese pizza and I ordered the chicken in garlic sauce. We ordered a tres leches for dessert. The food was great and we will definitely come back to try other foods on the menu. The tres leches was not as good in our opinion. It looked amazing but the burnt merengue had a granular texture that we did not enjoy. Overall, a great place to eat in a relaxing and beautiful setting.

We were seated right away which was unexpected for being a Saturday night. The server was very attentive and friendly. All of the food was served quick and very hot, which I like. We weren't offered shredded cheese for our meals, which usually gets offered at other places and red pepper flakes was not offered when asking for spice. The price for the bottle of wine charge is 3 times the amount of the actual price of the bottle. All of the food ordered tasted really good and the portions were generous. Nice lighting and a relaxing atmosphere. It would be nice if some jazz music was played. A little overpriced but enjoyable.

I went to dinner with my mom and nephew. This was the second visit as I remembered how good my meal was the first time (about a year ago). This time it was not as good, which was very disappointing. I had the pasta carbonara, my nephew chicken Alfredo and my mom paella. Mom loved her Paella but the pastas were not that good. The sauce was very watery and it just lacked flavor. Not sure what happened that day, but it was not even closed to my first visit. We had the ham croquetas to start and finished with the Tiramisu. Both things were great. I just wish that they were were more consistent with their meals.

The seafood paella looked amazing, but the seafood did not taste fresh. It was also runny. The dye of the food coloring stains your hands. The service was good. The restaurant was clean, although they have plates and glasses on the tables that they leave out. This means that it is collecting dust. I could see the dust in the water that they poured into those glasses. The portions are quite large. The value is priced too highly for the quality of food.

I'm so happy to have found this Kendall Gem. Went for the first time yesterday and was thoroughly impressed by the extensive menu options, I thought they did a great job at choosing dishes that offered Italian, Spanish, and Cuban fusion. I had a glass of Chardonnay that nice and chilled. Then ordered some ropa vieja and shrimp stuffed tostones, both were delicious and covered with a layer of gooey cheese. Also really nice portion sizes, I think the only thing that could've made it better would've been to have the toston cups a bit crunchier. It came with a refreshing balsamic salad as well that I really enjoyed. We got Paella which had some amazing big shrimp, langostinos, and overall fresh delicious seafood. The rice texture was perfect, wet and moist but not to the point of soup. I also enjoyed their spaghetti with lobster chunks. It was a nice simple tomato sauce and had hefty pieces of lobster which I appreciated. The dessert presentation was pretty spectacular. I had no intention of getting any but once I saw all the options I couldn't resist, they were really all beautifully presented. I chose the chocolate pannacotta which is now One of my favorite sweet bites. I also took their house specialty pizza home, itwas the closest thing to My favorite NYC pizza that I've had in a long time, I definitely recommend trying one of their pizza pies. Can't wait to come back and explore other menu options. read more

My bf and I were curious about this place, it always seems full and looks like a nice ambiance close to the house. Service was attentive but not the greatest for suggestions. The food definitely left something to be desired for (and it wasn't salt)... In the end curiosity was satisfied, probably won't be going back. read more

Really a Cuban restaurant with an Italian twist... Neighborhood gem for families and couples alike. Great friendly & prompt service from Joel S. The Risotto Negro with Shrimps was excellent. Good bread and Pulpo a la Gallega. The spaghetti with lobster killed the lobster with its red sauce (pass on this one). The Milanesa is big and good platter. Desserts are good but overpriced at $7.95. Two couples, we had a good time. Marvelous host and server / table staff. read more

So we went back to having dinner here, let me tell you the experience this time was so much better! Our waitress Lisnay was super nice and helpful. She had great customer service skills. This time we ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, which was really good. The chicken was delicious the pasta maybe could've used a bit more flavor. (Next to try will be the wheel cheese pasta!) My mom ordered the pork steak with onions which was amazing! The pork was a big piece, very juicy and soft. We got an order of vaca frita to go which I didn't try but it was a big portion and looked good. For dessert this time we tried the tres leche...oh my gosh! Let me tell you, it was to die for! It was amazingly delicious! It's a huge portion and couldn't finish a bit of it so it's perfect to share! Can't wait to try other plates ;) read more

Great selection of pasta, risottos, pizza and deserts. The seafood risotto is super good and just $22. The grilled octopus was made to perfection. The pizza was okay. Finally, the tres leches is the best in Miami, it is a little expensive at $15 but you should shared it between 4 as it is huge. Parking is available and service is great. read more

Service was below par. We ordered the calamari to share and I had the steak sandwich. Calamari was a little over cooked. Main course took a while to come out. When I received my sandwich it was a bit cold. I informed the waiter that it was cold. He was a bit rude and questioned me when I said the food was cold. For dessert, we ordered the crème brûlée. The dessert was probably the best dish we ordered. read more

AMAZING!! This restaurant never disappoints. The service is great and the food is incredible. I'm actually disappointed that someone left a negative review based on how they THINK the restaurant should operate. Hiring is difficult with Covid yet I've never felt that wait times have increased or service decreased because of this so it's unfair to leave a negative review based on they're inability to do take out. Restaurants have been forced to make changes to adjust. I suggest going to dine in and your opinion may change. This is definitely a go to for us and I'm happy it's only 2 min away because we go so ofgen. read more

This restaurant is a fusion of many cultures, you can find Italian, Cuban and Spanish food, sometimes too much happening can interfere with the quality of the food being served. We've come here twice and the first one was a fail, unfortunately. We had the lobster bisque but it was very watery, later we found out it was because it was gluten free, so I can understand but it was not good at all. We really loved the Lolita Cup, it was a very nice dessert, but that was all it stood out from there. The next time we tried it out we had the pizza margarita and it was pleasantly good. We also had the crème brûlée and it was very good as well. Again thats all it stood out for me. Service was great both times and that is essentially why it gets 3 stars. If your looking for a close spot to enjoy an afternoon is fine for that. read more

If you're looking for traditional Italian food, I would NOT recommend this place. I tried to order a BEEF STEAK "MILANESA ALLA NAPOLITANA" which as per the menu is: Fried Breaded Moth, Topped with Tomato Sauce, Ham and Cheese Gratin...? The dish comes with two sides, without the option to order spaghetti or any pasta as a side.... Very odd. Only sides available for this "Italian" dish were: white rice, black beans, moro rice, maduros, tostones, French fries, garlic mashed potatoes, and seasoned vegetables. IMO a very odd pairing for an Italian dish. Same thing when I tried to order a chicken Parmigiana; no spaghetti available. They DO NOT serve pasta as a side. Also don't order the cheese balls; they're shit. read more

Miami up and coming hot spot!! I've been there twice and every dish, appetizer, and dessert has beyond exceeded my expectations!! Expect a long wait Friday-Sunday!!! I was kicked out of this restaurant for having my 4 pound service dog chihuahua on my lap after I kindly explained I didn't have a leash for her to be on the floor. Complete pet discrimination! I have never experienced such poor treatment. The food - HORRIBLE, my lasagna was only cheese. read more

I chose to come without a reservation which made the wait time 1hr long because the restaurant was extremely busy. However, even with that inconvenience which was my fault the staff made sure to offer exceptional service. My waitress was Ana and she was a sweetheart. I really appreciated that she took the time to explain to us why there was a wait time and her kindness made the wait time be worth it. Also, the host was a really nice young woman. She was extremely friendly and nice. Even the person that brought out the food to us Pedro was a delight. They were all extremely friendly and the food was AMAZING TOP NOTCH. I will definitely be back even if i have to wait an hour extra lol. The vibe in this restaurant is beautiful for a first date vibe or even to go with family. read more

unbelievably amazing, what a dining experience! service is top notch, i never even have to ask for water refills, you can see the servers watching over the restaurant ready to come as soon as they see a sign that a table needs them. the food is exquisite, have been here twice so far and everything we've tried so far is so delicious. the presentation for foods is outstanding as well. you can get all kinds of cuban and italian and combo dishes, it's an interesting mix. the atmosphere is great, you can sit outside or inside, and it is so nice. everything is perfect, i brought the pickiest restaurant goer i know for a special occasion, and they delivered! zero complaints. read more

Surprisingly delicious. Loved everything single item here from the Sangria to the main course and of course the amazing dessert. We had the croquetas de Bacalao, fried mahi and the cheese balls as appetizers they were delicious. The seafood risotto was one of the best I ever had and the Tres Leches was yummy as well. There was wait time but it was ok and glad we waited. Service was also very good. read more

This is the second time I come to this place the first time it was not so great I guess I did not order the right thing and the service was lacking this time around I have to say I am glad I gave it a second try the crema de malanga was the best I've had and the fettuccine on the Parmesan ball was delicious. DOUBLE CHECK YOUR RESERVATION!! I really hate writing a review like this.. I was looking forward having dinner here for a birthday. I had called early morning the day of and made the reservation for later that evening. While on the phone, the restaurant advised they sent me a text and confirmed I received it. My party and arrive at the restaurant only to be told I had no reservation. Just standing at the hostess desk, I received another text saying "don't forget your reservation at 8pm". I showed the hostess both messages. Looking thru a tablet she finally found my reservation for the next day.. oddly enough, the two text messages received were for the correct day. I didn't see much action of the hostess until I asked to speak with a manager as we were a large party and honestly saw no hope of being able to dine there as the restaurant is very very small. She went inside to grab the manager, after 10 minutes of waiting outside we decided to leave. She was speaking with two servers (one could've been the manager). After leaving the restaurant, exactly another 10 minutes later I receive a phone call from the hostess that they'll be able to get a table ready by moving guests around. I truly can't see it as it would have disrupted everyone in the restaurant just to accommodate my party. Everyone in the restaurant was eating! This is not to bash the restaurant.. more so for your employees to please take the time to listen and enter things correctly in your system. Everyone is so quick to rush off the phone and not get things done. I hope your experience is different. read more

Absolutely love this West Kendall dining experience. Food is affordable and delicious with lots of variety on the menu. The octopus appetizer is a must. Service is also extremely friendly and made for a wonderful special occasion celebration. I went for an anniversary and was pleasantly surprised with a an exiting, sparkling candle and romantic music played on the restaurant sound system at the presentation of dessert. Ordered on the phone - the hostess on the phone was very nice . I came inside and Daniela was very helpful answered my questions. The food was not ready but the reason was it was being made fresh. Plates moved past me very fast and service looked attentive . Pizza made in the brick oven looked delicious . I've heard the Lobster bisque is great - hoping it's as such. Went in for wine and tapas. Their wine selection is nice and not grossly overpriced. Had risottto balls which were unimpressive and only 2 to the order. The music was a bit louder than I care for but overall a pleasant experience. From watching the people around me, I'd say it's worth returning to try different dishes. read more

Been going here for a couple years now, have never experienced any issues at all. Reliable, delicious, and not crazy expensive food every single time I go. I definitely recommend the cheese soup if you're a big cheese fan (save the bread they give you to dip in it!) Service is top tier for sure, never had a single problem with waiters. Only negative thing is that the restaurant is a bit small, so it could get cramped at times, but other than that I have no complaints. read more

I have some friends who join me often when I go to Miami Beach and so we ordered a bunch of dishes to share. I'm really glad we had our waitress Pilar steer us in the right direction. I love truffle anything and she highly recommended the truffle arancini. I'm soooo glad we got it, and that was probably one of my favorite things to eat ever. I have never had such creamy polenta in my life. the truffle and cheese in this was enough to almost bring me to tears. This is how great food is done. Even the salad and the simple dressing was amazing, really fresh and delicious. We tried three different pasta dishes, but my favorite without a doubt was the lamb ragu. This dish was everything. The lamb was so tender and flavorful. You know that lamb will sometimes have a gamey flavor? Not this dish. My second favorite pasta dish was the truffle ravioli. It's not like a truffle infused oil or salt they used, its actual shaved truffle, so delicious. The bread, the good quality olive oil, everything was fantastic. Even though my beloved bakery belongs to the past; in its place is now another magnificent establishment that I will look forward to visiting whenever I'm in Miami Beach.

The first sign of trouble arrives with the server sporting a rather impressive lip piercing, followed closely by a colleague whose diamond nose stud could probably be seen from space. Not exactly the ambiance one expects when aiming for "elegant." Despite the abundance of servers floating around the dining room, none seem to notice when your knife dramatically dives off the table and lands on the floor -- where it enjoys a long, lonely stay. Water service is also quite innovative: they simply leave the entire bottle at the table, which seems less about generosity and more about avoiding the inconvenience of returning to refill your glass. The food? Sadly just as uninspired. From the octopus to the $68 Milanese, every dish managed the impressive feat of being completely flavorless. The Milanese arrived with a beautiful crust, which raised hopes... until you realized there was no sauce, no garnish, and nothing to rescue what turned out to be a remarkably bland plate. We booked a 6:30 PM reservation so we could grab a happy hour drink before hand. I think the cocktails at the happy hour bar are different from the regular menu. I had an apricot gin cocktail that I didn't love, but was decent and a slow slipper and my husband had a campari cocktail that is great if you like campari. The bartender was accommodating and overheard me asking my husband if he knew how to spritz the lemon peel like she did but he hadn't been paying attention so she did it again. For dinner, I spotted the table next to us dining on the rolls and Caesar salad and decided I wanted both. The server mentioned that salad is one of their most popular. The rolls were light and fluffy, and very large with sweet and savory honey butter. The Caesar salad was good. It comes out as large leafs of romaine, which is a nice presentation but I do think that leads to breadcrumb and dressing distribution being uneven. It was a very good salad dressing though, not too tart or heavy but still creamy and zesty. For our entrees we had the cavatelli with duck ragu which was my favorite. There were both crispy and tender elements to the duck and the pasta just melted in your mouth. We saved a tiny bit of it to take home because we couldn't stop nibbling on it, and it was great the next day too. They brought our steak out after our pasta. We should have specified we wanted them at the same time. By the time our steak arrived we were pretty full. The steak was served tender and juicy. We got the Prime Hanger. I appreciated that the server mentioned their two less expensive cuts were very popular instead of trying to upsell us on their pricier options, as we were very happy with this option. We had some steak leftover as well which was delicious the next day too. As it was perfectly medium rare, we were able to heat it up on a skillet without it overcooking much. We ordered the Bernaise sauce with our steak, but it was not necessary and I probably would have skipped it. Service was good and pretty efficient. They made sure to check on us frequently but the meal was good without any additions. I don't remember if when booking I requested an outdoor table but their patio is quite hot in summer. I think they need some outdoor fans to help with the heat as I was shvitzing a bit. If I were to visit again in the summer I would make sure to specify the need for an indoor table, but I'm sure it's lovely in the winter months. There was also the occasionally fly near our food which did kill the mood a bit and some table fans might help with. There is a gravel parking lot next to the restaurant. When we arrived there was only one spot available so it does fill up.

The soup dumplings were hands down the best I've had since Joe's Shanghai in Chinatown, New York--a high compliment in my book! One thing that immediately caught our attention was the open kitchen. You can watch the team preparing everything, and it was absolutely spotless. The manager came over to chat with us and shared that the cooks were brought directly from China, which certainly shows in the authenticity and quality of the food. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. And the best part? We enjoyed all of this for less than $100. If you're looking for authentic Chinese food, do yourself a favor and give this place a try. You won't regret it! Sorry I'm not adding photos, we were hungry and completely forgot to take any.

Overrated, we have order three times from this place. All three times we tried at least one new dish and every single time it disappoints. The only good thing we have eaten was the ropa vieja. Really good food! and really good service; the only issue is the restaurant is small, so make sure you arrive on time and not so hungry because you will need to wait, especially if it's the weekend.
