I failed to get her name but she was very nice and friendly when she answered the phone and said she had time for me. She did even call back later to ask if I could be there just a bit later as her previous person was running late. The salon was busy with clients on both sides of the salon. It was clean and bright. It was nice to get pampered just a bit while on vacation too! If we lived close by, I believe I would go back on a regular basis.

They have been so kind and accommodating and I cannot speak highly enough of them. Everytime I walk in everyone says hello and is quick to let me know someone will be with me in a moment. They are all very professional and I'm beyond lucky to be a customer of theirs. Last summer I accidentally bleached a chunk of my hair off and they let me come in on a very busy Saturday at the last moment and they were able to give me bangs and relayer my hair. 12/10 customer care and customer service.

Generally, everything about the hair cut was just "fine." It's a simple salon - not flashy or…read moreanything like that. I had made an appointment because I was used to making appointments months in advance at my last salon (I moved recently). It does not seem like appointments are necessary. The experience itself was lack luster - I got a wash, cut, and blow dry - which I find pretty standard. I found it odd that she didn't sit me down and take a look at my hair dry or ask me what I really wanted before taking me back, but every stylist is different. The wash was kind of rough, definitely not what I'm used to - which again, may just be a personal preference. The cut was simple - long layers. I told her where I parted my hair because she didn't ask but she told me she'd cut it center because it would look better that way and the part wouldn't matter (gentle foreshadowing - that made the cut look worse). When all was said and done I asked her to blend and soften the layers a little and she did, which I appreciated, but there just wasn't any saving the front - which is what I have to see every time I look in the mirror. The layers in the front on the side I part my hair to are short and harsh and just do not fall nicely. When it came to pay - cash only. Which, thank god I brought cash (maybe I missed something). The cut was $45 but the wash and blow dry was another 30. at that price point I would have been better off going to a Boujie salon for a much better experience and a little more money. Unfortunately I just don't think this is the salon for me. I'm so glad other people have such a great experience, but If you're looking for more relaxing salon vibes with the type of stylist to take the time to talk about what you like, I would not recommend coming here. In short id say this is Super Cut Quality with Fancy Salon Prices - just not worth it unfortunately.

I also asked for and paid for a DevaCut for my curly hair but it was nothing like the DevaCuts I have had before were there are several steps in the process (she only cut when it was dry when it's supposed to be touched up when wet and did not style it after wetting it, also sent me home with wet hair when it is supposed to be diffused until dry). The hair cut was between $80-$100 (can't remember exactly because I tipped) and it was not worth the price considering it was not a DevaCut. My hair has been splitting all the way up the shaft since this haircut, splitting so bad in ways my hair has never split before. There were also a couple strands that were randomly two inches longer than the rest of my hair in the back?? Again because she wasn't really looking, taking the time to section or check if she was cutting evenly. I do not recommend this place.

This was my first visit and it will definitely not be my last. Ashley's years of color expertise and careful listening skills left me with the most gorgeous hair I have had in years. The salon is small and private and looks out upon a beautiful courtyard with orchids and other lovely plants. Because it is a small salon there is no noise or chitter chatter going on in the background from other stylists or customers which led to a very calm and relaxing experience.
