Firstly, I have been wanting to go back to blonde for an extremely long time. Unfortunately, I gave into using box dye for a while and landed on a really patchy red color. CHECK OUT FORTE SALON! They just opened it! Andres and Hayden took such amazing care of me. I got a partial balayage, root treatment and haircut from 8am-12pm. It honestly felt like 1 hour given how efficient and also thoughtful they were with their care! I discovered Andres when looking for a new stylist in September 2022 that specializes in color. I found the Instagram page of Andres when browsing the Instagram page of a salon where he used to work. My sister-in-law also went to a stylist at that same salon and she observed Andres working and suggested that he was the best color specialist in the salon based on her observations of the work of the stylists in that salon. Andres has a great eye for color and a skill with scissors. The highlights, root melt and haircut continue to look great in between appointments and I leave the salon feeling refreshed. Let me just say Andres and his assistant Hayden are the sweetest people ever! The moment you walk in, they make you feel welcomed and comfortable as if you've known them for years. I've had blonde hair for a number of years and was looking to go darker so that growing out my roots would look more natural. It was my 1st appointment (just this past Saturday) with Andres and I've been looking for a stylist I could trust with my hair for months. I'm a very particular person so it was very hard for me to choose just anyone but I found Andres on IG when his work popped up on my feed. You can just tell by looking at the photos how detailed he is. During my appointment, he noted my inspo photo and was real with me about what we could achieve. I loved the fact that he cares about the integrity of your hair while also being upfront about realistic expectations. I had showed him a photo of someone with dark hair that had streaks of highlights in it for dimension. I told him I wanted something low maintenance and he said that if I were to get something like the photo I showed, it would have streaks of blonde that wouldn't blend well and wouldn't be low maintenance like I wanted. I appreciated his honesty and trusted his vision and what he thought was best for my hair. My other stylist before Andres would look at the photo I had for reference and try to achieve the color in 1 session (with no feedback about whether or not it was achievable) and as a result my hair was always damaged with all the bleach it required and had me in the chair for 9+ hours (my last session was 13 hours). With the other stylist, I didn't leave the salon 100% happy most of the time and always found issues with my hair. With Andres though, it's the 1st time I can say I am absolutely 100% in love with my hair and can't nitpick anything wrong with it even if I tried. I recently chopped off most of my hair, which meant most of the previous color I had was gone. So I went looking for a new colorist because I wanted to go lighter and brighter. I came across Andres on IG and decided to book after talking briefly with him over text. His IG is mostly focused on blonding but he told me he's comfortable working with brunettes as well. I had a great session with Andres and Hayden! I love how through he is with the consultation and honest with what results can be achieved with my current hair. What I started with: shoulder length dark Asian hair with babylights (done back last July) and bangs What I wanted: brighter and lighter neutral brown (leaning towards Ash rather than warm) with a bright hairline and still bright around my bangs.
