So, I'm only leaving this review cause I really have to empathize what kind of service that have here.... I had a great experience with this Monterey Tow service! The staff was incredibly friendly, professional, and easy to work with from start to finish. They made what could have been a stressful situation feel simple and manageable. Everything was handled quickly and efficiently, and they took the time to clearly explain the process and answer any questions I had, big shout out to Mario and Alex. The lady behind the desk doesn't get enough credit lol jk But, I really appreciated their honesty, fair pricing, and the level of care they showed not just with my vehicle, but in how they treated me as a customer. They offered me advice where to park next time to avoid the tow, helped me take the nasty warning sticker residue that was left on my car, etc. which I really appreciated while dealing with the unfortunate situation. Absolutely the worst towing service south of San Jose. The drivers refused to wear a mask even when told by AAA that they needed to. My wife has a compromised immune system, but Monterey Tow not only did not care, but then told AAA that they are unwilling to wear a mask for any client that has health concerns or not... After my car went into the ditch due to black ice on the Angeles crest, Jorge, the man, said no problem to the job. To start, he greeted me with a smile and an attitude that everything was going to be alright. When we got to the damage site he not only got the car out the ditch, but he also escorted me all the way down the highway to ensure that the car was still able to run. Next up is the price. The winching service only costed 500 dollars which is as competitive as it gets. For reference the other companies that I called quoted me $1000- 8500 dollars to get my car out. Mario was concerned for my safety due to my car being stuck on the freeway he was in route but delayed them to make sure he prioritized me for my safety came in less then 10 minutes to get me and my Tesla out of the freeway and took my car to the nearest charging station if I can give them 10 stars would!! Mario was very professional made sure to take picture all around my vehicle and underneath to make sure if anything he did to cause dmg he will pay and compensate! I was in a car accident this morning and CHP called a tow truck for me. A very nice man came with his flatbed from Monterey Tow, had my car on the truck very quickly and held a very nice conversation with me on the way to the yard. He even got me a cold bottle of water from their fridge. The woman working in the office was friendly and informative and extremely efficient and she also offered me a water. I also used Monterey Tow with a car I use ONLY for emergencies and my card info was subsequently used for online hardware store purchases. I rarely use this card so it could only be them and Nicholas' review helps confirm it. FYI, their website shows a truck with AAA on the side. They are not AAA certified. I needed towed off the Universal lot and they required a security escort since they were uncertified. Additionally I called to let them know they should look into an employee stealing cc info and the person on the phone (The Owner? He said "my company") got angry, wouldn't even consider it and was adamant no one steals which if you look at Wedw E.'s review from 3 days ago seems to be their m.o. Despite snarled traffic backed up as far as the eye could see, Monterey Tow Service got a truck out to Bumpy and me before the clean-up of our accident yesterday finished. The tow truck driver, Ed, was kind and professional. (Not to mention handsome!) He could tell how freaked out I was, so he made small talk on the way back to Pasadena, keeping my mind off the horror of the wreck of which I'd just been a part and keeping me calm. When we arrived at my house, he was apologetic that we'd gone over my allotted AAA mileage (7 miles) and he had to charge me $27. He called in my credit card and I overheard him speaking to the gentleman in the office, who he always called "sir" - I do love a polite tow truck driver. Because I'd left my emergency lights on during the entire time from the accident to when Ed arrived, my battery died, so he did me one last kindness and jump started my car. I've been towed a number of times, but this was the best service, the cleanest truck, and the utmost professionalism I've ever experienced. Hopefully I won't need to be towed again any time soon, but if I do, at least I'll know who to call. read more

I would give no stars if possible. My wife and I have a horror story with this towing company. To spare the gory details here are just the points: 1) Wouldn't accept my AAA because they wanted hard cash and because AAA doesn't pay as much. 2) Instead of taking my car to a body shop like we asked, took it to their impound yard after blatantly lying to my wife. 3) Gloated in a sadistic way that if I couldn't come up with the cash, that he would charge 33 per every few hours over. 4) When I brought the money and showed I was indignant that I had to go through all this (I had to drive from Pomona to rescue my car that shouldn't have gone to an impound yard), he said that I would have to move the car out of the yard by myself before closing at 6:00pm when it was already 5:15pm. He basically told me that I would have to push the car out of the yard myself or pay extra. He would not help me out. 5) Obviously have a nice racket going on with the GPD as they are the only company servicing Glendale and they were called by the cop before I could call AAA. 6) Incredible asshole answering phone calls. He may be manager and people may call him sir, but he is a criminal. He didn't make any sense, and in his mind the couldn't come to explain why my car had been impounded when we own the car. 7) Needs to be investigated for their nefarious practices. 8) My wife was so saddened and shaken up by the accident and when she wanted the car towed to a body shop (the driver's answer) we were being robbed, mistreated and abused by an unkind staff that gloated about our circumstances. Please don't use this company. They have a "special" deal with GPD. Hopefully you never have an accident in this very driver unfriendly town. It is a nice city if you don't drive. My car's front lower control arm ball joint nut let go when turning into an alley near my residence.The car's wheel/tire assembly tilted in and the car just collapsed on that side. Monterey Towing spent almost ONE hour just to load the car on the flatbed! They could have just use brute force to winch and get the car on the flatbed but instead the driver spent major time to gently left and slowly get the massive Lincoln on the flatbed. I did not have to pay for the tow because the shop who had repaired the car was responsible for the failure of the suspension. read more

The dude was done in less than an hour. A bit pricey though at $50 for just refilling my tires, but whatever, I got reimbursed from the mechanic so I didn't care. After calling AAA for battery replacement, I noticed something smoking in the car and the AAA service guy (can't remember his name, but he was great) Recommended for it to be towed and have the radiator tube replaced. So AAA recommended Monterey towing company and my mom's car needed to be towed. Luckily, Jorge was very nice and patient. He gave recommendations and tips on his known mechanic to see as well as check out the problem with the radiator tube. So we ended up towing it to RPM automotive for replacement. The car is currently at the shop, but I highly recommend Jorge for the kind tow service. I have to see if there is an employee recommendation or recognition in the company for him because he was great! read more
