Pretty impressed. I lived in Greenville for over 26 years and have never been to this location. I came here for a large to go order for my family. I ordered 4 meals and chips and salsa with extra salsa. I was so happy that everything was correct. The portion was great too! The food was delicious and was still warm by the time I got to where I needed to go. I got the #1 (two enchiladas, one taco and rice). It was a huge portion! The chips and salsa were good too! We prefer Papas and Beer, but this place is a nice, close to home Mexican joint that has good food. Way better tasting than Mr. Salsa. You don't have to worry about parking downtown or driving across town to get it, which is nice for someone who lives in the TR area. The fajitas are tasty and have a good variety of veggies that don't make you feel like you just ate a million calories. We enjoy their queso and guac too. Service is good. read more

But I'm only giving them only 3 stars for the following reasons. First, when you walk in the building, you're greeted with a combination of bleach and musty smell. Second, I know the place is clean but the carpet looks old and dingy and I wonder if that is the source of the smell. And third, the inside is a little outdated and needs a little facelift. There were a lot of cars in the parking lot and they seem to be busy on a Sunday for lunch. So I guess people do like this place. I so wanted this place to be good. First mistake we came in during the after church crowd. Of course even though there is sign that clearly states masks must be worn there was zero enforcement as as large crowds gathered in the foyer with no masks and some of the staff were also not wearing masks which is a clear violation. But while its disturbing that the mask sign was not enforced this was not the real trouble. The real issue was the service (which I do not blame on the server who was in the weeds for no fault of her own) and the food. The manager did a poor job of regulating the restaurant. Having worked in the rest industry for 20 years it was amateur hour. As the server told us somebody called in and they were short staffed. Ok if that is the case call someone in or stop seating people. Rest manager 101. Also simple things like silverware and napkins I had to go get myself (which were plastic by the way). . After waiting a considerable amount of time for our food, which was no big deal the food came out cold. Obvious it had been sitting in the runners shelf and nobody ran it. I ordered a fish taco and my partner order steak fajitas. I told the server it was cold and that we would just grab our check and not eat it. I was assuming that the manager would of course void the meal or some of it, but of course not so I asked to speak with a manager. She went back to talk with the manager and came back and said the manager told her her that a fish taco, the fish portion was suppose to be cold, no answer why the beef fajita was cold, when I say cold I mean barely room temp. She also told me the manager refused to come out and speak with me. That was concerning as that is a big part of their job.
