Salt bomb dips were inedibly salty. Bread was nice but way overly seasoned. WAY TOO SALTY!
    Scott M.

I want my money back. Months has been hit or miss for a while. Had a few good meals after the remodel, then tonight... I will say now - that service was good and the staff were friendly, or this would be one star. Would have given them another star for service if they had noticed that we'd didn't eat our dinner... We have come here pretty regularly over the last two decades. At times it has been a local favorite. After tonight, I want to swear them off forever. We started with oysters, which were fair enough. Well shucked. Mignionette and cocktail sauce were passable. We followed that with the Dips and Bread. This was the first warning. Bread was nice and served hot but ridiculous shoot of zaatar. Dupe were so salty they burned. All died in grassy olive oil. Each hard to eat for different reasons. Hummus just tasted like grassy olive oil. Beets tasted like sour oil and tangy cheese. Eggplant was also terribly salty and sour. Added pain for sneaking pine nuts into the eggplant without calling them out on the menu. We left most of that on the plate and write it off as "not to our taste". Next up were wanted to try the lemon pasta with crab, and the seared ahi. Bad to worse... the ahi was served more like blanched, and SOAKED in grassy olive oil and a green olive tapenade that made the oil poached fish untasteable. Worthless. Ruined. On to the Lemon crab pasta. Also horrid. First thing was overwhelming dill - which wasn't even listed as an ingredient. Then overwhelming butter, and virtually zero crab - there was a pinch on the top of the plate and that was about it. Also, zero trace of lemon in the plate aside from a seed. To be fair they should call this dish butter dill pasta. Pasta was cooked well - that's all I can say about it. Frustrating as hell to spend $200 on inedible food. We left all but a couple bites of it on the plates. Fire the chef. This food is not acceptable. I'll check back in a few years but Monti's is in the penalty box. To add insult to injury the food made me sick. Fool me twice, shame on me.

Monti's and Montgomery Village both had a refresh. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant has a cute dedicated outdoor space with heat lamps over or by each table. The Christmas tree in the outdoor space gets you in the cozy holiday mood.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Standouts from the last two times I came here: little neck clams and lemon tagliatelle with Dungeness crab. Only complaint was the tagliatelle had three clumps where the pasta was stuck together. That was annoying but I liked the flavor enough to keep going without raising an issue. The acid in the lemon and the small kick in the chili made me go back for more bites even after I was full. Mussels, salads, salmon, steak, raw oysters, and date cake (sticky toffee pudding) were all right. Steak was a little sinewy but cooked to the right requested temp of medium rare. The date cake... I think Goose & Fern has a much better one, but that's a pub and a totally different vibe. Service is a little uneven. It was great one time and then this most recently time, we were served by 4 different people, each with different temperaments. I do think the hostess(es? maybe one was a manager?) could be kinder about acknowledging customers that come in (it was just our party and one other party standing there). Other random observations - you get free bread and butter. It's not a given these days so that was nice. On the other hand, there is a 2% back of house charge. Overall, I would keep coming back. I think there are small improvements that would make it great. [[HIGHLIGHT]]That said, it's a cute dining and shopping area with comfortable seating and the right vibe for either date night or a get together.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It has a lot of options on the menu, so there's something for everyone.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Beautiful renovation, relaxed atmosphere, and chill vibe music.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great indoor space, luxurious, and outdoor, which can get loud.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] One thing that automatically gets a star in my book is how clear and presentable GF options are on the menu, which makes it easy to order and staff is aware. Got a few appetizers that we couldn't stop raving about. Main course presentation and flavor were not up to par, slightly declining. Not my favorite Starks chain but nice to pop in once in a while.

We've been working our way through the Stark restaurants and finally got to Monti's for an early Saturday dinner. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Restaurant is tucked in an unassuming strip mall, but has a nice outdoor section and good lighting and comfy seats.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Drinks were delicious, I had the chai spiced resting bourbon face. Standouts for the table were the Humboldt cheese à la plancha, the amazing black cod and the homey butter beans. We split a bourbon sauced date cake which was so fluffy and moist. Service was fast and attentive, and they also let us talk forever after our meal and we didn't feel rushed. The only thing we didn't love was the eggplant pizza, the eggplant being a little undercooked, but the rest of the meal was just delicious.

We had to wait 30 min even though plenty of set empty tables.

We've been coming to Monti's for more than a decade. I've never had such a terrible experience and treatment by staff. We had reservations for two and were 30 min early. They insisted that we wait even though there were empty tables. They then proceeded to seat a walk in couple. I asked if we could be seated and was met by both the hostess and manager with brusqueness. The service was also sorely lacking. We were not greeted and had to ask for dirty dishes to be removed. Food was average.I'd suggest the staff be trained on service and hospitality.

This place does what it does well. Nice atmosphere, friendly service, unique offerings. My friend and I were shopping in Montgomery Village and wanted a cocktail so Monti's to the rescue. We paired our drinks with a shared Monte Cristo because... why not? First off, my cocktail was one of the better ones I've had in a long time. The balance of watermelon and chilies was artful. Delicious and hit the spot! We shared a Monte Cristo and each bite was perfect. I appreciated the house made bread and butter pickle and pepper. Like the cocktail, the balance of sweet and savory seemed very well done. All told, I spent $32 (with tip) for half of a sandwich and a cocktail so a little on the pricey side BUT I left completely content! :)

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This place was cute![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My Mom and I came here for lunch yesterday and we got the calamari which was delicious. Then we got the hibis-kiss drinks which were super yummy and light. Then my Mom got the minestrone soup which was their soup of the day. I got their chicken quinoa kale salad which was FIRE! I would highly recommend. Overall I would totally come back here next time I'm in town. Oh the service was really good too! Very attentive, checked in regularly and the food came SO fast!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]We keep coming back because the food, service and ambiance are great.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server Josh was excellent with a sense of humor which made the whole dinning experience fun. I always get the warm spinach salad with rock shrimp because I can't find it anywhere else and it's amazing. We also got their loaded fries with blue cheese and rosemary which sounded and tasted great but by the end we thought we'd just get the regular fries. Everyone loved their burgers and warm sourdough bread.

Another fabulous experience. Summer early lunch with friends, enjoying: GF Burrata Cheese, tender Short Rib Agnolotti, crispy fries, and refreshing Aperol Spritz. The welcoming vibe and charming patio dining created a welcoming setting for our get-together, complemented by fabulous service. Love seeing Montgomery village busy and alive and Monti's provides a relaxed and flavorful midday escape to enjoy it all;).

    Black cod with potatoes. Excellent.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]It was a very cold evening the day before Thanksgiving. We sat outside, but with the heater lamp and a wrap I felt comfortable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It was a busy night, however, the customer service was very good. There were five in our group and everybody really enjoyed their meals. I had the black cod, which was excellent. The flavors were right on point and the dish was beautifully plated. My BF had the lamb loin, which he said was the best ever. I had a taste of it and also it was excellent. It had a nice char to it and was cooked perfectly.

Was recommended Monti's when I was in the area for work. Had to make a reservation ahead of time just in case they got too busy, and I'm glad I did because there was a line waiting out the door by noon on a Monday. They have a lot of solid options on their menu, but I ended up ordering the roasted salmon that came with a small cous cous and arugula salad and a light, whipped, creamy sauce to pair with it. The salmon was so juicy and flavorful, easily falling apart with minimal chewing. I do think the portion was pretty small considering the price point ($32) and I was still a bit hungry after finishing the entree. They did serve warm bread and butter which was a nice touch. Service was attentive and friendly and the ambiance of the entire restaurant was very nice, clean, and open. It also sounds like they had a recent renovation, making it a beautiful space to dine and hang out with friends and family. Glad I was able to give them a try and would come back if I'm in the area again.

Our first time back to Montis after they renovated and we loved what they did with the place. They have a few u shaped booths, a high top communal table and 4 tops along with outside seating. Food and drinks were good! Got their clam pizza, side of mushrooms, Lemon Tagliatelle, roasted cauliflower, mushroom pizza, salmon, piccata black cod, and steak. I like the mushroom pizza over the clam. The sides of mushroom and cauliflower is a must! Only hiccup was when we changed tables I guess we got a new server but I'm not sure that was communicated between the servers. Luckily the manager noticed that we were sitting for a while without our orders taken and she took care of it and checked on us frequently throughout the meal. Overall meal was nice. Would go back again. Browning points for having a high chair. Overall 4.35 stars

I came here to try their breakfast sandwich, which definitely did not disappoint. I also took home a couple of desserts for later! The service here is really great! The person who helped us when we arrived gave us some great suggestions! I really like the seating here and it feels nice and spacious. The art on the walls adds a nice touch as well! The breakfast sandwich has fried eggs and white cheddar cheese on an English Muffin. First I love the way they fry the eggs. Crispy, but still with a runny yoke. The cheese is melted nicely into this really yummy English muffin that was toasted really nicely. I also added bacon and avocado, which was a delicious touch. It's a very rich, fatty sandwich, so I asked for some hot sauce plus it's served with a side of pickles which helps to cut the richness as well. I took a few desserts home to try later, and I'm glad I did! The gluten free carrot cake is excellent. Very buttery and the texture is amazing. Not very sweet, but that may be what some people like. The gluten free lemon cheesecake had a great flavor and is dense like a NY style cheesecake. Again, also not very sweet, but delicious nonetheless. The Flan was a 10/10 in flavor and sweetness, but a 6/10 in texture. A little too dense for my liking. Overall, I love this place and will be back soon!

Zoftig has expanded into full-blown Choose Your Own Adventure territory: Build Your Own salads, sandwiches, wraps, and bowls, plus a gluten-free dessert lineup that practically begs you to pretend you're being healthy right up until the very end. I went with the Thai yellow curry over brown rice with chicken, which was the kind of meal that makes you feel like a responsible adult who has their life together. It was delicious! My dining companion's Ahi Poke bowl was equally impressive, and the roasted sweet potato salad was so good it briefly made me question my life choices up to that point. The chicken -- whether in a salad or a bowl -- was tender, flavorful, and absolutely not what I expected from a place with this many kale options. A word to the wise: show up at noon and you will be humbled. This spot is enormously popular with locals and the lunch-break crowd, and the line will remind you that good food attracts a crowd whether you like it or not. Fortunately, the staff is genuinely warm, happy to make recommendations, and will answer your menu questions without making you feel like you're holding up the line -- even when you absolutely are. The first time I didn't take as much advantage of this and there's different veggies that you can get extra of. We've gotten the miso salmon, the hummus crunch, steak mezze, and the super green goddess. The flavors have worked well for each of the dishes. I'd say customizing to add more cucumbers and the different sides made it easy to try things out. When going through the menu on the kiosk, it would tell you when things are out though you kind of have to design your own adventure. The steak and was a bit dry, and miso salmon could've been warmer but it still hit the mark. I liked the texture differences for the hummus crunch from the garlic breadcrumbs. Conveniently, I could add those things onto other dishes if they're my preference since there's a number of toppings that cost nothing to add or accentuate. Pretty solid in my book just for that. Of course, adding proteins is generally an added charge so your real decision at first is just which one and what flavor profile you want to go with. I think as long as you pick your foundation right, this gives a good orchestrated way to tweak everything you like about what you get.

Maybe I was supposed to figure out how to make a substitution at that point, but typically I would ask my server about what would work in its place that they have on hand. In this case it just took my payment and delivered the salad without it. When my food was ready a guy took it from the machine, placed it on the pickup counter, called out my name, then returned backstage. The future has arrived and apparently we don't want restaurants anymore.

So let's just say the day they opened after the bat that was here closed. they completely revamped the area to pristine new. you wo7ld have never known Anthony's was every here. the service is always spot on. is i an meeting someone here, I meet at the bar. they offer 2 draft beers, 2 on tap. plus often a cider or random choice. they have a tasting flight of wine of the week. Rosé fairly recently in my last trip. i always order the meatballs a la carte/appetizer. and if I get a salad, unless it is to go, o make it a piadine (wrapped on a pillowly soft yet satisfying outer crunchy garlic flat bread almost naan style). yes, you can cut it in half perfect for sharing. if you get the Caesar, I ask for more anchovies on the side. these are the pickled lightly brined white anchivy filets, much done in the same pickling style as mackerel in sushi restaurants. I love cutting to bits and eating with the salad and the pizza. certain pizzas are great with an egg on top, cracked in the middle cooked whites and runny yolk. if you want to make sure your white is cooked all the way, just ask them to add a couple movies for the egg. and they always serve pizza with fresh pepper flakes and parm. the squid is good. I especially like the green beans in this application. if they do a beet special, get it. I have loved them all. the latest was Moroccan style with annatto, juicy golden raisins, onion, garlic, pistachios, and sumac. so good. dark red, candy stripe, and yellow beets. As the specials rotate, be sure to ask what they have when you walk in. the Cindy pollo salad is a riff of Waldorf, done more in a Sonoma County style. And the lemon artichoke is amazing and simple. fresh shaved artichoke hearts hand picked, thinly sliced the tedious handmade way, never jarred BS. i came here so often for a while my friends stopped calling me and just started coming by this place to find me. a comfortable lunch can be around 25 to 35 dollars. is you want to splurge with a pizza, app, salad, and a drink this are looking at around 60 ish. A great staple to the county. And yes, I frequented the Petaluma branch when my mother lived down there, but she moved so I stick to this one. You really can't go wrong. if you eat nothing else, and are a meat eater at all... you must have the meatballs. hands down. I have brought in wine (Corking fee cheap, totally worth it), and I have bought it here by the glass. They have several sized pours so you can moderate your intake easily. this place is always a win win in my book. and hey, you might wander in on a benefit lunch or dinner. set menu and price and always regarding delicious and very affordable.

You call them upon arrival and they will bring it out to your car which is awesome. Food was ready when we arrived, fantastic! We ordered the 1/2 bucket with umami fries, side of mac n' cheese, and lots of sauces. The meal comes with pickled veggies, slaw, and 4 Hawaiian rolls with nori butter. It's always disappointing to get your order home from anywhere and find a problem, so spoiler alert that impacts the experience for me. I ordered the fries extra crispy and not only did they come soggy as all get out but they also were lacking the umami salt that's supposed to make them special. Everything else was correct but the fries were a disappointment right out the gate. I seasoned them from my spice rack and popped them under the broiler to crisp up. This helped but if they come out of the fryer not crispy the broiler only does so much. Pickled veggies are good. I always love a pickled carrot. The slaw didn't have much flavor I could discern but I added one of the hot sauces on it and it was tasty. The star of the show, the chicken, was ok. I LOVE fried chicken and eat more of it than I probably should, lol. It was VERY crispy almost too crispy (maybe the chicken was cooked well done instead of my fries?). Since it was so crispy this made the chicken dry. Overall, slightly better than meh but not much. Maybe this isn't a meal that translates to go? If we try it again it'll be in person, even though we are literally only 6 miles away so it's not like it traveled far before we got down on it. Glad we tried it out finally but definitely feeling sad it didn't leave me happier for having checked them out. I'd be remiss if I didn't express how sad I am with how disappointing this meal was overall. Fried chicken usually brings me so much joy alas not today. Oh well I guess. I had higher hopes with all the 4 and 5 star reviews. Maybe we got a bad order but this wasn't a good first showing to make me want to come back and try again. So much sadness.

Meh... just meh. This is the second time I have had it and it's just okay. We ordered a wild bird,…read morea hot bird and 2 umami fries. Here are my thoughts, and yes I am getting into the nitty gritty! Sandwiches- first and foremost the cuts of the chicken they are using are really bizarre, it was in multiple pieces really thin and only covered like 60% of the bun. The bun is decent but texturally could be toasted more. Both The Hot Bird isn't spicy and too sweet in my opinion, there's a lot of the sauce and it makes it a little soggy. The wild bird was good but again the odd chicken piece took away from it. We cut them in half and one of the halves literally only had 1 bit of chicken. Fries-what umami? With a name like that I'm expecting you to punch me in the face with that good earthy robust flavor. This tasted like normal slightly chalky fries. Visually it didn't look like it had anything sprinkled on it. The fries come with pineapple ketchup... or so they say. We definitely got gochujang sauce. Again... meh! I love fried chicken sandos, but it was just okay.

We even met the owner, who made us feel right at home. The staff was friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to. Mamma mia!

From the outside, it's a pretty unassuming building. When we walked in, I got more of a diner vibe than an Italian restaurant. The décor is simple and straightforward without a lot of frills, but we were there for the food, not the décor. We were seated almost immediately, and our waitress was friendly and laid back. She also let us know that we had arrived just in time for happy hour, so naturally we had to order some drinks and appetizers. We tried both the red and white sangrias, which our waitress had made fresh that day. They were refreshing and hit the spot. To start, we ordered the calamari and shared a Caesar salad. We also enjoyed some of the house focaccia bread. For our entrées, I chose the Lamb Ragu while my wife went with the Pappardelle Bolognese. Everything arrived in a timely manner and came out hot and fresh. The calamari was crispy and well prepared. The focaccia was good, although I would have preferred it served warm. The Caesar salad was flavorful and the perfect size for sharing. The lamb in the Lamb Ragu was cooked perfectly, and the pasta had a great texture and chew. The Pappardelle Bolognese was hearty, meaty, and equally well executed. Portion sizes for both dishes were just right and satisfying without being overwhelming. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and had a pleasant dining experience. My only critique is that both pasta dishes could have used a little more seasoning, particularly salt, to make the flavors pop a bit more. Aside from that, Eddie's delivered a good Italian dinner with friendly service and good value.
