No grease pouring out n making the bun all mushy, wet, and well, disgusting. The ordinary "classic" is only $9, which for this neighborhood is more than fair. Whatever you do, don't leave without dessert! There are about 9 different shakes to choose from, all made with blue marble ice cream. Personally, I think bananas foster is best. Moo Burger was the BEST burger I've ever hard. Oh my gosh I couldn't stop eating it! I got a burger with provolone, mushrooms, caramelized onions and arugula. It was cooked perfectly and all the flavors blended together so well. I love that they have a large array of different meats--lamb, beef, salmon, bison, etc. etc. I know that when I go back, I won't be just trying the same old burger with different toppings. In addition to the burger, I got zucchini fries, which came with a tzatziki dipping sauce. They were delicious as well. I had to battle my boyfriend for the last one :) We also got a chocolate milkshake, which has ice cream from Blue Marble Creamery up the block. I don't Yelp enough, but after eating at Moo I had to log on and review this place immediately. This is the best burger place I've been to in NYC. My boyfriend and I get burgers a few times a month and always try new places, we went to Moo for the first time tonight and LOVED it. I had the classic burger with mushrooms and bacon and it was spectacular, the fries and onion rings were amazing, the unique tasty Moo Dog is a must have, and the Moo sauce was perfect for dipping. And it's all organic, how great is that? The restaurant is cozy, clean, and sleek and the staff was beyond nice. Our waiter Jason rocked. My fiance and I were walking down Court Street looking for something yummy to eat. He felt for breakfast food so we were looking for a brunch menu. Unfortunately they weren't serving brunch BUT the hostess recommended a burger for my fiance called 'the Hangover" that had eggs and bacon so we decided to give it a try. He got the Hangover and I got the Tukery Club..only, there were no more turkey patties, so I got it with a lamb pattie instead, and it was SOOOO good!! In addition, he got zucchini fries and I got regular, both of which were pretty good. We ordered a pitcher of the "moo mystery" which turned out to be a mix of cranberry juice and lemonade and boy oh boy was it delicious and they came in these really cool wine bottles, which I thought was a neat twist. Then, my finace ordered a peanut butter and jelly milkshake and that was SUCH a hit that I ordered one for myself too! lol All in all, it was a great spot. I have been ordering turkey burger on wheat bun with zucchini fries since 2012. It's a whole experience! A turkey burger won't stuff you like a Thanksgiving turkey but this should leave you satisfied to some extent. Add mushrooms and you are good! I've got not much to say about zucchini fries other than they are just crunchy and not as greasy as Mcfries. Side of ranch is ok but I like them more with thousand Island. So yes. Tis another place that you can frequent for your pound of saintly bovine sinew. I can't count how many times I have frequented Moo Burger and how many friends and family I have introduced to this wonderful place. No complaints so far. You can't really go wrong with their burgers so I'm going to give tips on the sides. Get the freaking sweet potato fries, you won't regret it, I promise. Get it with spicy aioli sauce as it will add a tangy, creamy and sweet taste to your fries. As for drinks, the moo mystery is a strawberry sweet drink that will not disappoint. We have successfully replicated their spicy aioli sauce at home but man, their burgers are one of the best in the area. Staff are friendly and service is efficient. Try to avoid rush hours such as weekend brunch 11-2pm. A group of us loud people (we're too used to being in front of kids) walked over before parent-teacher conferences to grab some food. We were loud, I won't lie. But the service was great, food was very similar to bareburger, which I also really like. According to the reviews, I had to try the hangover burger. It certainly did not disappoint. I never had a bison patty but it did taste like beef. Crispy bacon and a fried egg to compliment the burger. I also had an order of moo fries aka chili cheese fries. At $14 a pop, without any fries or onion rings(also delicious), and the smaller size, I didn't give MOOO 5 stars. Really the only reason I gave them a 4. I wanted to eat another one sooo bad! Service was top notch. AND I believe the owner(or most devoted manager ever) came to make sure our meal was good and made the effort to say goodbye as we left. A+!! I'm knocking a whole start off of my review of Moo Burger because of the price. Moo Burger is bright and clean, a cozy neighborhood spot with a mixture of long shared tables and two-tops, a great place for a bite after a movie at the nearby Cobble Hill Cinemas. At Cobble Hill Cinema a theater ticket is $11. At Moo Burger that won't get you many of the burgers, including the Chili Burger ($13) or even the vegetarian portobello patty ($12). This doesn't include any sides, which frequently push a basic meal over $20. I had a Nova Scotia, which was a pretty tasty salmon patty with a mustard creme fraiche on top. The sauce could have had a bit more of a kick -I couldn't taste the mustard -but it was solid. The burger also featured 'wilted spinach' which seemed like an unnecessary touch. The onion rings were too salty, but they came with a surprisingly and pleasingly tart side of barbecue sauce. With a beer, this meal was north of $30, too much for an average meal after the cinema. read more

They have a great assortment of burgers, but we decided to go for the Bacon Classic ($12), which includes a beef patty, white cheddar, applewood smoked bacon, chipotle ketchup, tomato, lettuce and onion; I added sauteed mushrooms to mine for $2 more. The bun was glistening, brown and soft. Hands down, one of the best burgers I have ever had in my life, even cooked well done! They aren't cheap and after trying their sweet potato fries, I suspect that their sides are probably more standard than their burgers. But I feel confident in trying their other options (salmon burger, chicken burger, mushroom burger, etc.) because they at least nailed the classic burger. The beef patty wasn't huge. And I'm going to be honest, Five Guys makes a comparable burger, although flatter, and it's slightly cheaper. But if you feel like sitting down some place and having alcohol, splurge the few extra bucks. Despite being crawling with kids--totally expected in this area--it's still a fine spot for a casual date. The decor is warm and the staff is beyond friendly. read more

Great "fancy burger" place. I like the setup of the place, and the service is amazing - very attentive, friendly, and not too overbearing. The burgers were delicious - got the bacon classic and the southern style fried chicken. We also got zucchini fries on the side. The burgers were on the smaller side, though; it's pretty easy to inhale a burger lol. Although, I think it comes with the territory when you're going to a gourmet burger place. However, I think the main star of the show, though, is the vanilla milkshake. I'm always searching for a good milkshake, and Moo Burger's is definitely on of the best ones I've had. This place was just awesome! Went on a nice afternoon and it was not packed at all just a couple of people, as soon as we walked in we were greeted and seated. The menus come on clipboards which is cool and then theres a drinking menu also. They serve you a nice glass wine bottle looking and it holds water. There burgers are ALL ORGANIC & NATURAL, where can you find that now and days! Best part is yet to come, we started off with the goat cheese salad which was perfect and I loved how the goat cheese was in a circular shape and fried, so good yummy! I had the greek lamb burger which came with my favorite.. tzatziki sauce, SO GOOOOOOD. The burger was cooked perfect and I also ordered a side of MOO fries which was chili fries, that was so nice and fresh and loved the kidney beans in it. They offer organic and all natural juices and lemonade, the ginger ale was so good I really liked it and less calories and all natural sugars. I could not complain about nothing! The place was super clean, the workers were awesome and either the manager or owner he was great, kept checking up on us and just being so polite and nice, like he really cared about how people enjoyed there food and just being pleasant and welcoming and you know how much of a pain I am with customer service and I could not have been more satisfied! Burgers are very good and can compete with any of the other burger joints in NY. 3 stars because of the prices as they are steep on the value side. Burgers range from between $9.50 to $14. Additional specialty toppings like avocado, sautéd onions will run you around $1-$2 extra. 4 burgers, side of fries, side of onion rings and two sodas will run you about $60 bucks. Seriously, I was so hell bent on getting to the theater early that I would only eat at a restaurant where I could monitor the line situation! But I digress... The burger is not much to go crazy about. Sure its huge & has bacon, and we all know bacon makes everything taste better. But in terms of the patty itself....it was just that, a beef patty. It was a bit dense and bland. Cooked perfectly though. However, the fried pickles.....my goodness, it was a whole different level. They didnt use your normal sliced pickles......It was this tiny baby miniature bite sized pickles that they fried in this light batter. It came drizzled in aeoli sauce (which tastes a lot like spicy mayo) and it was divine. It wasnt too oily, greasy, or thick in batter. Salty, sweet, fried goodness. Please note that this review is for take out service. I came here last night with my boyfriend and friends to pick up food to take out. We were near by at a bar and figured it would be nice to grab a bite to eat. The place looks adorably cute, even though it is tiny. It was too cold to stand outside to wait for our food (it was around 10pm or a bit after 10pm) so we stood inside and I felt bad because we were in the way of the waiters filling up drinks. The lady at the register taking out order seemed a bit... indifferent. She didn't smile and she wasn't that friendly either but then again, it was busy. (Side note: if you are going to use the bathroom... have a friend wait outside of the sliding door... which doesn't really lock... at all.) Once we got out food and we parted ways to go home, I couldn't wait to scarf down my food. I was STARVING. I ordered a bacon classic for $12 and not only was the burger small for that price but it lacked taste (aside from the bacon). As a side, I ordered fried pickles. Now, the fried pickles that I am used to is SLICED pickles.... not small baby pickles. They weren't anything special and the portion was okay for the price I paid. Then again, I didn't finish of the batch of fried pickles because they didn't taste all too good. I had a bite of my boyfriends mac and cheese and it was also tasteless. The only thing that was VERY yummy was the side sauce they had given me... which I put on my burger to make it tasty. The bun was good and they put a good amount of lettuce, tomato, and onions on the burger but that still didn't help the burger patty itself. Maybe it was an off night for take out or maybe it wasn't meant to be with Moo Burger. Would I give it a try again? Most likely not, especially since there are other places to try in the area.
