The food here was great and fresh. I find the bento option to be great value for a quick meal. The vibe was very cute and aesthetically pleasing. I love how it allows for privacy. Service was pretty good. It appears that most of them are either highschool/college students. Totally would come here again!

My first time trying them was on the night I was discharged from the hospital. I had been wanting Japanese and I did not get a chance to have any until then and they were one of the few spots still opened that late into the day. I tried their Tokyo Don for takeout. It was nice and fresh. I enjoyed it very much. A couple months later, I came here again with my sister and my daughter. We were seated pretty quickly, within 20 minutes. I did not even know they had a downstairs but they did. It was more like a private room, very comfortable. The staff was pretty nice too though not as attentive as other places. We then ordered the Tokyo Don again, a salmon fried rice, beef skewers, and the Salmon Lover. The fried rice was good. Very flavorful. The salmon was surprisingly good and not fishy at all, but a bit dry. The grilled salmon as part of the Salmon Lover was much better. All 3 of us loved it, despite my sister and I not being fans of cooked fish and my daughter being pickier than a professional food critic. My daughter also liked the beef skewers. My sister and I thought it tasted similar to a particular beef dish -- steak with chinese broccoli, from the chinese restaurant. I personally feel like they deserve a full 5 stars just for satisfying my difficult daughter lol. The 3 rolls for $13.95 is also not a bad deal. Both my sister and I became a fan of this place. Although it is not a place we can frequent due to its price tag, we will be back more often than not.

Eel avocado, tuna avocado, salmon avocado, spicy yellow tail, spicy scallop x 2, fried fish, fried shrimp, salmon cheese $13.95 for 3 rolls. Great presentation and fresh taste with good portions/ratio of rice to stuffing.

It's a cute little Japanese restaurant with both yakitori and sushi. We were seated at the sushi bar. We ordered the following to share: Ankimo Spicy Scallop HR Spicy Tuna HR Chicken eel Don Chicken Yakitori Mix Sashimi regular Food came out quick and service was good. Ankimo was torched and we actually preferred regular untorched. Both Spicy scallop and spicy tuna handroll were good. 4 mixed chicken yakitori included skin, heart, gizzard and chicken thigh. Yakitori was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Chicken Eel Don was also yummy. Sashimi regular had a good amount of fish and all were fresh. I didn't like that the Ikura was vinegary. I like the natural saltiness. Overall, the food was good.

Had my eye on Osaka Fusion Sushi for a while, and finally had a chance to stop by with my fiance for a late dinner. Surprisingly, the restaurant was still PACKED at 8:30pm, with more diners coming in at 9:30pm & on. The restaurant looks to be a bit on the cozier/smaller side, but I think they might have additional seating downstairs (?). We each ordered a maki combo (comes with 3 rolls), and the sashimi regular (16 pieces) to share. I enjoyed my maki roll selections - I ordered the california, eel/avocado, and spicy salmon. My fiance's were just okay - the yellowtail was definitely fishy and a bit unpleasant. The sashimi platter was a highlight; the sashimi isn't skimpy and paper thin, and there's good variety. Most items came with about 2-3 pieces, except for the uni, ikura, and ebi. The yellowtail on the platter was fresh - a pleasant surprise considering the maki rolls. I wish the maki roll combo came with a side though, maybe a salad or soup. A few other items to note - Osaka is one of the most reasonably priced spots in the area, especially for the variety of menu options they have. Service was nothing to write home about. Cash & card are both accepted. Parking in the area can be difficult.

Came here for weekday dinner and it was quite empty. We were seated immediately in the booth seating. There's a call button for you to call for the waiter if you needed anything. Service was prompt and they did come in once to check up on us and refill our tea. We ordered the Osaka sashimi deluxe and the yakitori set. The sashimi presentation was quite pretty! The pieces of fish were also fresh and delicious. One thing was we didn't particularly like the uni / fish roe with the cucumber. Felt like the flavor profile wasn't that great with cucumber. The yakitori was just okay. Nothing special and was a little salty. The yakitori set feels a little overpriced so I'll suggest skipping the yakitori. My biggest issue was the restroom. It was quite dirty. It felt kind of disgusting using the bathroom and really turned me off from the whole atmosphere. There was only a little bit of toilet paper left and I was looking in the bathroom for any replacements but there weren't any. The soap bottle had the nozzle broken so the soap wasn't even coming out properly. Overall: the food is good but given the bathroom situation, I feel uncomfortable to come again.

I have been here on multiple occasions and the food is pretty good. I love the selection of appetizers on the menu, both hot and cold options available. I would definitely recommend getting the yakitori, I've tried nearly all of the yakitori options and I've enjoyed them all (I love food on a stick)!! I dined alone the most recent time I went and got the chicken yakitori mix and the sushi deluxe. The chicken gizzard was so yummy, I wish I had more! The sushi was good and the fish was very tasty, I loved the tuna the most!! The only thing I did not like was the texture of the squid (? last piece furthest from me in the photo). It was very slimy and difficult to chew. I also had a stomach ache shortly after when I got home (maybe not related to the food, I didn't eat all day, and I haven't had an issue in the past). The restaurant is pretty small but I've only had to wait more than 20 minutes once out of the four times I've been there. They also have additional seating downstairs. The service is good, I don't really go expecting over-the-top, standout service. Servers are nice, food gets to you quick, and I've never had the wrong order placed. :)

Been there couple times between 2024-2025. It really depends on the daily seafood quality. The last time been there was 2 days ago . The uni was real nasty that day and the chef said they were fresh and shipped in the morning. Don't wanna complain more just take a look at the images. Definitely not going back again ~

We came here for dinner on a Saturday night. It was busy around 6:30pm. I heard the hostess told customers the wait was half an hour. I am glad my friend arrived there at 5:30pm even though she told me to meet her at 6. She was able to get us a private booth. Sashimi was fresh. I found the yakitori (grilled meat) too salty. The mushrooms were really good. Also, we ordered salmon cucumbers and eel avocado rolls. Both were delicious. Osaka Fusion Sushi is one of the best restaurants on 86th street.

Been ordering from here since it opened and food is still quite solid for the area. It's never going to be the 100% authentic Japanese but the food is fresh and can satisfy some urges. It's a cozy place, especially the few private booths which are only isolated by the curtains. Overall, the staff for dine in and takeout have been quite prompt and no issues for me so far. I usually come here if I crave Japanese-style foods and will keep doing so.

Really fresh sashimi! Loved the varieties and beautiful presentation, the staff was really accommodating and made sure my friends & I got the private booth area. They were very attentive as well!

The restaurant is cozy and compact, providing a small bar, 3 booths, and 4 two-top tables, offering a total of about 20 seats and 3 bar spots. It's one of the better sushi spots in the area. The Yellowtail Jalapeño was fresh and flavorful, and I often enjoy ordering the fried oysters with kewpie mayo. The Hamachi Kama was well-prepared and paired nicely with the other dishes. Overall, most of the fish I've tried, especially the sashimi, has been fresh, chilled, and properly prepared. . The chicken hear yakitori, spicy salmon and spicy scallop are among my favorites here. However, I would recommend avoiding the uni, monkfish, and wagyu, as they didn't quite meet expectations and fell below average compared to other options. I've visited many times, and while the service can fluctuate based on the restaurant's order volume, the staff always remains friendly and polite.

Love the prices from this sushi joint. It's so filling and service is quick. Pretty small location but usually don't need to wait.

Food: 3/5 I'm a huge sushi fan, so I was excited when I saw a deluxe sashimi set on the menu. Unfortunately, it didn't quite hit the mark. The scallop was thinly sliced and lacked the rich texture I was hoping for. The salmon and other cuts were decent, but short and oddly shaped--chunky yet small, which made the whole presentation feel a bit off for something labeled deluxe. We also tried to branch out and ordered the short rib entree. For $21, it was shockingly small--definitely a single-person portion, not sharable. I added extra ikura to a salmon donburi bowl for $2, but it was barely a teaspoon's worth--just enough to say it was there. Oddly, the salmon slices in that bowl were thinner than the sashimi we had just eaten, and overall, it left me still hungry even after sharing a maki roll. Lastly, my husband ordered a green salad, which somehow took the entire meal service to arrive. When it finally came, it was just plain romaine, cucumbers, radish, and dressing. For a dinner that clocked in at over $150 (after tip), we definitely left underwhelmed. Service: 3/5 This part wasn't bad, just confusing. We were seated quickly, but the pacing of the meal was strange. Our seaweed salad and soups came out promptly, but the green salad came last, after the hot dishes and nearly after my husband finished eating. Also, a small thing--but when I'm paying $16 for four oysters, I want to know what kind they are. The menu just said "West Coast oysters," but our server couldn't tell us the variety or origin. Not a huge deal, but it added to a general lack of polish that didn't quite match the pricing. I don't think I'd return. For the price, there are better sushi options in Brooklyn with higher quality, better portions, and clearer service. Still, I appreciate new spots opening up in the neighborhood, and I'm always happy to try something new. Hopefully they refine the menu and service with time.

Lots of people came in and out for takeout orders so that seems to be more of the target audience. Service was quick and polite, we were there until 9:30 and they definitely seemed ready for us to be out of there before the 10PM closing time. As for the specialty rolls, there were some pretty creative options - don't shy away from seemingly odd combinations because the flavors really do work well together. I appreciated the rice:fish ratio on all the rolls, the rice was a thin layer letting the flavor of the other ingredients really come through. The plain spicy tuna roll on the other hand was filled with spicy tuna mixed with something crunchy - maybe puffed rice? It seemed to be an unnecessary filler, I would have preferred just fish. I enjoyed the Lovers Dream and Golden Sunset roll the most. While I was debating it while ordering, in hindsight I would definitely get two rolls per person, maybe more if you're really hungry.

I saw the strong Yelp reviews and decided to take the leap with a pickup order. We ordered two specialty rolls and a spicy tuna roll. The Mystic Dragon roll was the standout for me-absolutely delicious. It had a variety of textures that gave it a great mouthfeel. I think this was my favorite of the three. All the flavors complemented each other beautifully. The strawberry sauce was unexpected but surprisingly worked! I love unique flavor combinations, and this one did not disappoint. The Torched King roll was also excellent. Salmon is my go-to for sushi, and the light torching gave it a subtle smoky flavor that I loved. The yuzu chili sauce added a nice kick--really flavorful and well-balanced. The Spicy Tuna roll was a classic and, of course, delicious. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place. After our recent trip to Japan my husband and I were craving quality sushi and had read great…read morethings about Oita. Happy to say they were true and we will definitely be back! Above all, the fish quality and freshness is excellent and the nigiri felt especially authentic (not too much rice, sizable cuts of fish done in the traditional style). The akami and hamachi belly were particularly great. The toro scallion and king salmon crunch hand rolls were also favorites. Our opinions were more split on the spicy tuna crispy rice (I loved, husband was more lukewarm) and dumplings (obviously very freshly prepared but quite fried). The overall ambience is airy, quiet and calm and service was warm and fast. We would have loved to try the cocktails as they sound really interesting -- next time!

Beautiful space with fun sushi rolls in Park Slope!…read more The inside of the restaurant is very sleek and minimalist with nice wooden accents- very calming. The space is pretty large, with a good amount of tables in addition to bar seating. I split the tuna crispy rice and the signature roll set and it was plenty of food for two. The signature roll set had an assortment of interesting and unique rolls ranging from truffle to mango- my fave was the New York crunch w potato crisps on top. The tuna crispy rice was also a bit different- served as a tartare w crispy rice chips for dipping. Very crispy and tasty though! Service was super attentive and very welcoming. Definitely will be coming back if I'm in the area.
