After all the success Homer's has had over the decades, it's surprising that more hasn't been invested back into the store. Even more disappointing was the ice cream itself. I don't know if the recipe has changed, but the texture and overall quality were nowhere near what I remember. It honestly reminded me of inexpensive, mass-produced ice cream rather than the premium product Homer's was once known for. Of all the local ice cream shops in the area, this was my least favorite experience. It's really a shame because Homer's was once an institution on the North Shore with an incredible reputation.
