Moo Moo Mia in downtown Monrovia really has the BEST Oreo and Cream ice cream around town. It is SO good I can literally eat this for lunch every day if I don't gain weight from it. The ice cream shoppe is cute and the menu items are of average price. A single scoop is about $6 and they offer ice cream flights if you want to try out different flavors. Service wise-I think it varies. It was my third time there a few days ago and I think at my first visit there, the girl who helped me was very sweet but at my last visit, service was just so-so. Overall, Moo Moo Mia a great place for dessert.
Our new favorite local ice cream spot! Parking available on the street. We started coming here in May, and their Banana Cream Pie flavor keeps me coming back. Every flavor is good, but I really enjoy this one in particular. We took a pint to-go which hits the spot at home when I have a sweet tooth after dinner. I hope they keep this one on the menu permanently. We usually get our scoop with a waffle bowl. If you are stuck between two flavors, they can also do a half scoop of each! Service has always been incredibly friendly, and we love just enjoying our ice cream inside the shop. Nice and clean, but can definitely get crowded during the after dinner rush.
Got the opportunity to try this place out because my mom was craving ice cream after her Mother's Day dinner The staff was sooo sweet and patient with us since it was our first time there, and they let us sample flavors before choosing. We ended up getting the flight for $15 and it was totally worth it! My favorite was the coffee chip, and my mom loved the strawberry and chocolate one. Everything was super creamy, flavorful, and not overly sweet. Such a cute little spot & definitely coming back
One of my favorite ice cream shops! They're open daily - Mon-Thurs - 12pm-10pm - Fri & Sat - 11am-11pm - Sun - 11am-10pm Parking was easy since there was a nearby free parking structure and also street parking! Inside was quite small but there were a couple tables and chairs Service was friendly and they offered free samples! Pricing was reasonable. - Single Scoop - $5.50 - Kids Scoop - $4.25 - Double Scoop - $7 - Triple Scoop - $8.50 There were milkshakes, floats, and sundaes ($8+), as well as pints (1 pint - $11.50, 2 pint - $23, and 3 pint - $34.50) Bowls & cones were only $1.25 and toppings were $0.75! There were also other yummy baked goods, like cookies and brownies! Got the Double ($7) and I chose the Ferrero Rocher & Double Coffee Chip. The Ferrero Rocher was so creamy and delicious! It had bits of hazelnut and chocolate chips inside. It wasn't too sweet and it definitely resembled the candy very well so this was 10/10! The Double Coffee Chip was good! It had bits of chocolate chip and it wasn't too sweet. It tasted like it was made from actual coffee beans and didn't taste artificial. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience and would definitely return and recommend!
Moo Moo Mia in downtown Monrovia is seriously a hidden gem! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and inviting. The food was the real highlight though every dish we tried was packed with flavor, fresh ingredients, and clearly made with care. You can tell they really put thought into their menu. What stood out just as much was the service. The staff were polite, courteous, and genuinely attentive without being overbearing. They made sure we had everything we needed and added to the overall great experience. If you're in the Monrovia area and looking for something delicious with great vibes and friendly service, Moo Moo Mia is definitely worth a visit. I'll for sure be coming back to try more!
Yum! First time visiting, their homemade ice cream was fantastic! The shop was spacious & clean with indoor & outdoor seating. Their ice cream is made with real fruit and you can instantly taste it. The staff was so patient & generous in letting me sample several flavors. I love how they label gluten free, vegan, dairy free so you feel safe choosing your flavor. Their mystery sorbet this week was grapefruit, it was delicious. I ended up choosing their flavor of the month: tiramisu & strawberry koldskal (buttermilk). My friend chose strawberry sorbet & Dutch chocolate. I'm so glad I found this place, we will definitely return to try more flavors. There's a free parking lot & street parking on Lime Ave next to the library & a few spots in front of the store.
This 2 stars is for the service on Monday. ( same date I write this review) I love Moo Moo Mia, this is my favorite spot for ice cream. I've been their customer since last year and no other place can replace it until today. This employee I'm not sure if she's the new one or she's been here for awhile but I havent met her before. Her face looks annoyed when helping us out with samples, we wanted to tip but she doesn't look welcoming us at all. Then I asked for a spoon, and ask her if she's happy today. Completely ignored me. If the owner see this, please train your employee. Don't let this beautiful place go down because of the service
It might be one of my new favorite spots for dessert! The workers are so nice and friendly. Parking is available on the street or in lots around the corner. I tried out their February flavors: chocolate covered strawberries and thin mint cookies. They were so kind to let me have 2 flavors for a single scoop ($5.50) or half & half flavors.
There's public parking or street parking to get here. There's some outdoor chairs or indoor table seating. There's a decent selection of flavors plus the monthly rotation of flavors. The staff are nice and helpful. You can get ice cream real quick. You can even buy it by the pint and some store merch. The noise level is decent amd it's usually clean inside. I got the Thin mints girl scout cookies flavor. It's basically what it advertised. The sweetness level is just right here. I've had a few of the other flavors before and none have disappointed.
I enjoyed the ambiance of this shop. There were plenty of table inside to sit and enjoy your dessert. There were also some chairs outside the shop. I love the choices of ice cream There were. You can get shakes made too. The workers were really nice and fast. Samples were served with a small metal spoon and there was a container that held all the used spoons on top so it doesnt get thrown away. I will be back!
Amazing ice cream shop to check out in Old Town Monrovia - super cute road with many restaurants, bars, dessert, movie theater and so much more. I've gone to Moo Moo Mia 3x now and it never disappoints. They're constantly creating tasty and fun flavors each month. I ordered the Trio Taster ($7.50). That's one full scoop and two half scoops in one cup. I selected Pumpkin Spice & Stracciatella, Lina's Dubai Chocolate, and Sweet Taro. Each bite felt heavenly. Moo Moo Mia (Monrovia) is one of the best. The hype is real!! I arrived at Moo Moo Mia (Monrovia) on Saturday (around 7:05PM). Street parking was full this weekend. Fortunately, Old Town Monrovia's public parking lot is nearby. It's a brief three minute walk. Staff is very welcoming, knowledgeable, and diligent. Staff happily offered samples, and staff eagerly answered all questions. Fortunately, I arrived with no line, so service was immediate. I ordered the Trio Taster ($7.50). It's a lot of ice cream! And its flavor & texture was spectacular. The Lina's Dubai Chocolate was very creamy, silky with crackly flakes that pop with pistachio flavor. Its chocolate tasted very rich. Next, the Pumpkin Spice & Stracciatella felt delicate yet flavorful. Its pumpkin spices danced brazenly. Lastly, the Sweet Taro felt very memorable and fresh. Its loving taro flavor wrapped me in a caring, tender embrace. The ice cream tasted very fresh and creamy. I felt happy. Regarding ambiance, Moo Moo Mia (Monrovia) felt comfortable. Its interior had a light warmth. There's also clean floors and tables. The location had one customer restroom and three available electrical outlets. I appreciated how its decor's colors felt bright and cheerful. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Moo Moo Mia (Monrovia). One Yelp friend had described this location as one of the best ice cream joints in the San Gabriel Valley. To my utter delight, I'm inclined to agree. 5 out of 5. Go!!
Great ice cream shop! This place has some great tasting flavors to choose from. This time around I got lavender cream which I was told it is a one time make. Going into Moo Moo Mia was a wonderful experience! Went to Moo Moo instead of Rocky Road and Basket Robbins and I don't regret it! Went here with my girlfriend and waited in line for around 5-10 minutes, but well worth the wait! The ambiance is very inviting and comforting, with bright lights and a ton of flavors to show! Our server Jasmine, was super kind and friendly, and gave us free samples to try so that we could better choose our flavors! We ordered the Oreos and Cream, with another scoop of Peanut Butter Ice Cream! Both flavors complimented each other well, and it was really delicious and sweet! A perfect treat to wrap up any late night meal, and great for any weather! Jasmine was really sweet, and recommended us to come back again as well as giving us two complimentary Oreos in addition to our ice cream! :) Will definitely be coming back for more, such a great experience! read more

Best Ice cream around town! Moo moo Mia has been well known for all the locals, always our favorite place. After rebranding, their make even better quality products. We love coming here! Jasmine is awesome, she offer the best Icecream tour and service. Servicing customer is her job on the surface, she brings joy to those who needed. Stopped for a dessert on a hot summer afternoon. Tried the cookie sundae with Dutch Chocolate & Malted Chocolate Crunch ice cream. Both flavors were good, especially enjoyed the malted chocolate. But the cookie wasn't the best though. I'd order just ice cream next time. read more

This is a quintessential ice cream parlor located in Downtown Monrovia, within walking distance of some great restaurants, the public library, and a movie theater. With lots of dessert competitors like Cold Stone and Merengue Bakery nearby, here's why Moo Moo Mia is my go-to: Their flavors are ALWAYS so appetizing. My middle school palate is always salivating over flavors like ferrero rocher, sea salt caramel, nutella and banana, and a host of other delicious chocolate candy infused flavors. What I love about Moo Moo Mia's ice cream is that it combines all these wonderful dessert flavors without being overly sweet. I usually find myself bored about 1/3 of the way through a scoop of ice cream, but the many textures of the mix-ins keeps things interesting. A plus for me is that their $15 ice cream flight is an AMAZING deal if you have a friend or two to share it with. It comes with 4 scoops of flavors of your choice and four little slices of waffle on top! read more
Handmade unique flavored ice cream (so rich and creamy)! Definitely a cute date spot as it is located in Old Town Monrovia right by the small Library Park with lots of shops to walk by. The flavors were so unique and they have rotating seasonal specials. Feel free to sample a few before you make your final selection. We got the July Seasonal Flavor: Nutter Butter Swirl - it tasted just like the cookie! First off, I want to applaud the employees for their kind and patient service. Particularly on this day the employee allowed us to try all the flavors we wanted. They were so kind and made conversation with us. We decided to get the ice cream flight. We couldn't pick just one flavor. The Nutella banana ice cream was my favorite!!! They have a part of their menu that changes every month. I love this idea because it allows for customers to try new things and it doesn't get boring. It's a super cute shop with plenty of seating to chat and eat your ice cream. I really cannot say enough good things about Moo Moo Mia. Sometimes you need to forget everything in life and focus on your ice cream. And I just did. Lol. Moo Moo Mia is cute locally-owned artisanal ice cream shop in down town Monrovia. They have a good selection of flavors and serve vegan and lactose-free flavors as well. Indoor was very spacious with relaxing atmosphere. I ordered two scoop cup with Joshua's Cocoa Puff's and Peanut butter flavored ice cream. It's thick, perfectly sweetness, flavorful and creamy. Staff were very amiable and professional. And they offer free sample of ice cream for those undecided customers such as myself. Prices were fair and competitive. Overall, I enjoyed my ice cream. read more

Staffs are very friendly. Place is spacious and clean. They are open for you to try flavors, which is nice. Didn't give a five stars because I guess the ice cream style is not my cup of tea. It's a bit too creamy for me. Other than that, everything was great. read more

I was waiting for a seat at brunch and decided to get ice cream while we wait! I got the seasonal cornflakes and honeycomb. A mini size is really small so I don't think it's worth the price here as tasty as it was! It's like slightly larger than a golf ball. read more

Convenient location, lots of free public parking lots, and plenty of delicious and unique flavors to choose from!! It's clean and nicely decorated inside. They gave us samples which helped me to choose my banana nutella chocolate flavor! It was delicious and had little bits inside too! The waffle cone was good too! Not a whole lot of tables and chairs inside but it's decent. Will definitely come back! read more

Cute little ice cream shop! We decided to get some dessert after dinner across the street and figured why not check this place out. They won't have a ton of flavors but that might be for the best. When there is too many, it gets overwhelming haha. I decided on a kids scoop of taro and it was just the right amount of ice cream I wanted. Prices were normal and staff were super friendly! A standout parlor with patient and friendly service, Moo Moo Mia holds its own to local favs like Wanderlust Creamery and Salt & Straw. Moo Moo Mia's ice cream is rich with minimal overrun, with a range of heavy-hitter flavors like Ferrero Rocher and Orange Buttermilk. I sampled almost all their offerings, and they're all impressive. The texture is lovely, and creaminess of the cream carry the natural aromatics in the flavors wonderfully. One of my favorites is the Double Mocha Crisp-- I don't usually like coffee flavors because of how cheap the extracts taste, but this is an exception. (Rejoice!) Moo Moo Mia is one of the most premium ice creams I've tried in a while. Try all of their flavors! You really, really won't regret it. And consider going for a single scoop... Amazing ice cream shop with fantastic service. We walked in looking for a hot chocolate, and we were wowed. The hot chocolate is made with two ice cream flavors of your choice. The worker was super nice and patient with us giving as different flavors to try. We opted for a double scoop of the Premium Dutch chocolate and a mocha hot chocolate and both were delicious. We ordered the kids cone with the Oreo ice cream, it was the perfect size for my niece. It comes with a cookie topper that is delicious. We also, ordered a chocolate chip cookie and it was super soft and tasty. The decorations were cute, and had several areas to seat and enjoy your treats. Can't wait to go back and try the many more different flavors and options. read more

They did it again! Great customer service. After watching Halloween Ends across the street last Friday we decided to get some ice cream. It was around 10ish (they close at 11p). It was actually pretty busy! The young lady apologized for the long wait, but it was nothing. Thank you though, I appreciate that. :) They are offering samples, yay! Right away she asked if i wanted to sample any flavors. I ordered a scoop of Mocha & a scoop of Vanilla. Omg idk what it was, but it was delicious! They have seasonal flavors. Will post a picture so y'all can see what the October flavors are. They do have pints to go (kinda regret not getting one). Can't wait to go back. read more

The young high school crowd that work here are very nice and generous with their 'want to taste that one too' LOL. Hopefully you don't have someone in front of you wanting to taste every flavor before they make up their mind.
