    Spicy Seafood Noodle
    Yun-Wen L.

Food/Taste/Flavor: 5/5 - we are back again for some warm comfort food! The spicy seafood soup is reliable but the noodles were a bit overcooked this time but the broth is oh-so-delicious. They were very generous on the octopus and the woodear mushrooms which were yummy! Ambiance: n/a - located in a food court Service: 5/5 - short and quick interaction Value for price: 5/5 - delicious food for a still reasonable price. Our comfort spot that we shall visit again!

was at the greenland market today and rather than heading down the street to the heart of chinatown on a very crowded sunday , decided to eat in the food court. While I've been to the market several times, i've never eaten there since i'm usually there before the food court outlet open. Today the timing was right . I chose Hong Lou which touted itself as Korean and Chinese. I just had a combo plate of Janjong meyon (Noodles with black bean sauce) and sweet and sour pork. Gave my order, paid the lady, got my "it's ready " flashy beeping thingie. about ten minutes later out comes the platter, big bowl of noodle with black beans and a take out container of breaded pork pieces. two small plastic containers of ban chan. (daikons and kimchi. Taste, every thing was OK, nothing really special will i be back? yeah , probably!

Location: Inside Greenland Supermarket, food court. Spring Mountain and Rainbow Parking: plenty Service: helpful Food: combination plates are a good deal. Jjampong was on point. Sweet and sour pork was crispy, not too sweet, not too sour. We will definitely make this spot on our regular list

First time trying this Korea noodle place. I try ga-jjanjang (number 2 combo). Love it. Taste like mom's cooking. Since I don't know much about Korean food but I like the noodle and black sauces.

Stumbled upon this amazing food court by accident while getting a car wash. Ordered from several vendors and this was by far my favorite. I have revisited this establishment 2 more times and they do bit disappoint. I ordered the shrimp soup in regular and spicy, the Beef and broccoli. I was sick and had a friend pick up the shrimp soup, did not disappoint. Just what I needed to sweat out everything. The mangolian sauce neither too sweet or too thick like in many places. Also, The staff was very nice and helpful picking out some other options. It's definitely a new favorite to go spot when I'm in the area.

Just to give a quick update that this is still my go to chinese korean spot in LV! Love the convenience, food still reminds me of my childhood and the price point has hardly changed in the last few years! Still my #1!

#19 - Spicy Seafood Noodle + Hot Pepper Fried Chicken
    Frederick D.

It's been a while since I've written a review and usually only post menu photos but this place definitely deserves a shout out. We're from Southern California so we are used to having good Korean-Chinese food and this place is excellent... especially for being located in a food court. Since there were four of us we decided to order four dishes. The portions were so big we ended up having leftovers. #41 - Combination Fried Rice was a hit. The rice was flavorful and perfectly cooked (i.e. not mushy or dry). Everyone loved the shrimp and the beef with the egg done just right. #19 - Spicy Seafood Noodle + Hot Pepper Fried Chicken was much larger than expected. The soup was a full size bowl with plenty of shrimp and seafood. I really liked the black mushrooms while two others enjoyed the noodles. All of us thought the broth was delicious and not too spicy. The sauce for the chicken was a wonderful surprise. Three of us were fighting over the last piece. #16 - Noodle w/Black Bean Sauce + Sweet & Sour Pork also had a full size bowl. ProTip: make sure to stir this up well so the sauce coats all of the noodles. We finished these noodles since they were tasty and for me just past al dente which is the way I like them. Another ProTip: if you like to keep the fried pork crispy then get the sauce on the side (see photo). This also allows you to control the amout of sauce which for some in our group likes a dab while others were practically dunking it. Either way, the sauce was a great blend of not too sweet and not too sour, just right. It also had all of good pickled vegetables and even mushrooms. #31 - Seafood Delicacies Stir-Fry definitely lived up to its name and was probably more seafood than vegetables. The shrimp were big and perfectly cooked (not rubbery like some places). There was mussels, squid, and fish which went well with the bok choy and bamboo shoots. That said, it was worth to try once but we don't think we would order this one again since it wasn't as good as the others and it was the most expensive dish on their menu. The workers were friendly and smiled even though they were swamped with phone orders. Hong Lou was so tasty that the four of us agreed to come back the next time we were in Vegas. We're thinking we might try #6 Seafood Noodle or #10 Three Seafood Delicacies Gan Jjajang.

a variety of asian food items

I was craving black bean noodle and the spicy seafood soup so I wanted to try this place out since we frequent this market often. I hesitated to order from this place because of all the mixed reviews, but I still decided to give this place a try to get my own perspective on it. The food itself was better than expected. I got the combo that came with half spicy seafood and black bean noodle that came with a side of kimchi, diced onions and yellow radish. I'm all about the details and I appreciated getting the variety in side dishes. The spicy seafood soup was satisfying, rich in flavor and the portions were good. Overall, a solid B. The black bean noodle was more bland than I liked- wish it had more spice to it, but the spicy seafood soup was really good. My husband ordered the shrimp fried rice which he liked but I didn't think it tasted authentic nor was it to my taste but portion seemed decent as well. I personally never expect good service when it comes to Asian restaurants and this wasn't any different. The guy taking the order at the counter never smiled or even said thank you regardless of the numerous times I thanked him. Expected? Yes. Did I hope for a more pleasant interaction? For sure. Nonetheless, the food hit the spot and I would definitely come back for more.

My second visit. Combo 17 with Jajangmyun (black sauce noodles) & spicy fried chicken. Just an average eating experience.

CONNECTING BOTH ANCIENT CULTURES Little bit of the old world with Korean Chinese cuisine. After all they've been sharing the same border for thousands of years. Each of their best cuisines are adopted by both sides. This is my second try with Hong Lou @Greenland Food Court. My first experience was simply delightful. This second go around was simply too bland for me. They do serve to an older clientele. A combo plate will easily satisfy two diners. Plus it comes with kimchi and yellow daikon. Perhaps the next time, I'll order spicier entreès. Recommendable: Those with big appetites or need to feed two for $15.

This is a fairly new fast food-like joint located inside a tiny food court with just a few other Asian eateries. I was having a hankering for jajangmyeon, which I absolutely love, so what better place while in Las Vegas than Korea Town Plaza, right? Well, maybe, but not so much Hong Lou. I tried the combination special of half jajangmyeon and half spicy seafood soup noodles. I have no idea whether the noodles are actually made on the premises or not, but they claim to make it there when I inquired into this. The noodles were very uniformed in size, so it was probably machine made, if it was made on site. The half of the spicy seafood soup noodles were ok, with a good amount of seafood, given that it was only 50 percent of the whole "bowl". In addition, I found the seafood soup quite flavorful, and perfectly mildly spicy. The other half of the jajangmyeon, however, was another story. Firstly, I reiterated my request to the cashier that I wanted the black bean sauce served separately, on the side. She readily agreed, and when I got it, lo and behold, the sauce was served on top of the noodles. Unfortunately, I didn't care for their flavorless sauce at all, and now a bunch of it was smothered all over the noodles. Bad, all the way around. I come occasionally to the Korean supermarket, Greenland, which this food court is attached to, but won't be stopping by Hong Lou again. Just so many many other Korean restaurants all over Las Vegas to pay for sub par food, even at food court prices.

    Teera T.

A very valuable and tasty place to eat in Greenland food court operated by mom and pop! Perfect portion for you to get full. A good place to grab some good Korean dishes for lunch or dinner after work. Try their noodles with black beans sauce... Spicy or not. Both are good!

This is inside the supermarket's food court. They've just opened this restaurant but it waz a good experience here. Combo: spicy seafood noodle & black bean noodles: 4 stars Flavorful & tons of noodles. There's not many korean restaurants in OC & LA that have this dish / make this dish very well so we were pleasantly pleased with this place. Tables where you sit down & eat are clean & simple.

The gomtang stood out -- the beef was very tender, soft, and clearly simmered well. And honestly, the slightly indifferent service made it feel authentic. If you are looking for your "halmoni's" (grandma in Korean) authentic, homemade, caring, handmade flavors and can ignore the no-frills, don't -care, terrible location and zero curbside appeal, this is your place. Imagine going to an old neighborhood Korean home where the kimchee to the broths and banchan are made with love. The scissors are sharp so you can easily cut the perfectly fermented, primly pickled kimchee and the cucumbers (oi kimchee) are fresh and the beef broth deeply steeped and rich with flavor. Plus it's an absolute bargain for what you get. I think we ordered almost one of everything (for just the three of us) just to taste it. The naengmyun (cold noodles) were fine. Not exceptional, but decent. The saam and chive pancake was very good. Value is high, taste is high; authenticity very high. Huge portions in today's world of cutting back. But I feel fortunate to find a "go-to" for my korean cravings. Like walking into my auntie's house for some warm, deeply comforting, home-cooked k-meal. Craving the dogani bone broth soup now!!
