This place makes amazing boba tea and smoothies. I'm not sure what they do as I'm experienced in both but they are excellent. I have made special trips for these items. Food is great as well but I'd say there are better restaurants for Thai, this isn't a critique of Royal IT but rather a reality of competition in DFW. The atmosphere is friendly and worth going for 20 min or 2 hr. I haven't seen it go crazy busy so seating is easy enough. What a fun boba tea shop! My friend and I were dying to have some boba after shopping at the Dallas mall up the road and stumbled across this place on Yelp! The inside is absolutely adorable and smells so good. They have so many options for bubble tea and other sweet treats. I think the boba in a bag is so unique. I have never seen anything like it before. I highly recommend this place if you are in the area. If I ever come back to Dallas I will be sure to stop here. I clearly come here a little too much but I want to try everything! They have a variety of foods, drinks, and desserts. This place is very aesthetically pleasing and all their foods are presented beautifully as well. So far, I would highly recommend the grapefruit orange green tea and their poke bowls. I loved this place! Have seen friends come and go here so I had to try it. This place is the cutest and their boba was delicious! The bagged boba brings aesthetics but the actual drinks is flavorful and authentic! I tried the lychee green tea and it was delightful. The drink was sweet and even had pieces of lychee in it. I went here after reading all the glowing reviews. I was kinda disappointed with the whole experience. I should have known when the lady who answered the phone was extremely rude. But it's for the love of boba not customer service I told myself. I went inside and there was no a/c and the cooled bakery shelves were empty. Dining area was also closed off by a stack of cans. My immediate thought was uh oh - where are they keeping the ice cubes and cold water?; will I find a bug on my boba?? Good news: no bug; and the boba smoothie I had was normal and cold. I also didn't get a stomach ache despite my worries (after paying $$ for my boba, I decided to risk it. It was the weekend anyway.) Bad news: the smoothie was average, the boba was small and a bit hard; and I got charged an extra $1 for using credit card which I was not informed about (I compared the price to what was indicated online since it seemed pretty steep for a normal bubble tea). My clue should have been when the rude lady on the phone immediately asked if I was paying via cash or credit card instead of what flavor I wanted (facepalm). 2 stars since the smoothie itself was ok and not terrible despite the whole experience. read more

The boba was good-- a little heavy, very sweet, but then again, what boba drink isn't overflowing with cream and sugar? Absolutely delicious. Flavors were very fresh and they had a good selection of flavors, drink types (slush, milk tea, fruit juice, etc.) and toppings. Drink came out quickly and was ice-cold, and they didn't skimp on the topping I asked for. Food was INCREDIBLE. Very authentic taste, the serving trays and plates were beautiful as well. The food was served on banana leaves, which was very refreshing and reminded me of back home (Indonesia). The spiciness levels are also very "back home", so if you aren't already accustomed to spicy foods, I'd reccomend not going farther than medium. If you are, however, accustomed to spicy cuisine, you will be very satisfied with the medium and maximum spice levels. Really cute place! With quite the menu... Is it a bubble tea/dessert place, a poke joint, or a Thai restaurant? Well...all of the above. Not sure if Royal I.T. Cafe is having an identity crisis or if they really are a jack-of-all-trades. Either way, it seems like a great place to hang out, study, or get some work done while also grabbing something to munch on or sip on. Despite the extensive menu, I really just came to try their bubble tea because they have the "creative bags". I have had bubble tea in a lightbulb, a jar, a split-cup...but I have never had it in a "creative bag" so I had to add that to my list. However, they are OUT of their cute-sy bags with the characters on them. (My advice to Royal I.T. Cafe: get those bags with the cute characters on them BACK IN STOCK! The basic betches of Instagram will come flooding thru and eat that sh*t up.) The only bags left in stock are ones with cheesy or weird sayings on them. OH WHALE, since I felt weird about walking in and walking out without buying anything I opted for the cheesy creative bag... Got the milk green tea with boba and thought it was pretty average at best. I thought it was on the watery side and rather skimpy on the boba. The bags aren't very practical because the straws don't reach all the way to the bottom, but I gotta admit they're kinda cool. I don't know of any other bubble tea places that offer a variety of food options too in the DFW area. Also, their bathroom is immaculate. Had to point that out. We were shopping at north park and came by for a boba stop. I wanted to try something different: not something they have here in FT worth. I decided on the durian smoothie while my sister got the matcha red bean tea despite the menu being "difficult" to read due to just everything being so compact together. -Drinks too a little longer than expected but the durian smoothie was so amazing though a tad too sweet and bits of chunky ice in it. This was my first time here after tempting to give it a try for so many times but midterms held it back! I FINALLY MADE IT HERE!! Okay so, I'm a very big fan of milk cap (or milk foam or whatevah), and I always wanted to try milk cap from places to pick out a new favorite cuz Gong Cha's foam and Kung Fu tea's cap has been my favorite for so long lol. This place nailed their milk foam! My boyfriend and I ordered Oolong tea and Green tea with milk foam and we both loved it very much. The milk foam was very similar to Kungfu tea's cap and so the tea, but they tasted awesome. We also ordered the Popcorn Chicken from the snack menu for $7 and it was fulfilling for two person. Cutest cafe ever!! I was having a stressful day and just needed my daily dose of boba to take off some stress. I've lived downtown for quite some time now and I always drive to Richardson to get boba (there aren't very many boba options here). Upon entering, I was greeted by THE most friendly employee who then offered me the menu after I was staring at the wide variety of selection for a good 10 minutes. Unlike many other boba shops that solely carry small snacks, they have actual food so you can dine here, too. When I asked what the bagged boba option was (it was cheaper), the employee showed me what it was and the various designs they had. An elderly Asian lady in the back overheard me and went out of her way to greet me, and proceeded by taking this huge box out and laying out all of their cute designs for me to choose. The employees alone made me already want to come back. I ordered their popcorn chicken and it was absolutely delicious. I have popcorn chicken at every boba place I go to if it's offered, and this one is up there on my list now. A lot of the reviews here stated their wait time was long, but I probably waited about 10-15 minutes, which is normal. If it had taken longer, would I have still waited? Uh...YAH. The chicken melted right in my mouth and I'm craving more as I type this. Boba: I got the Thai tea and my bf ordered the milk tea. The Thai tea was sweeter than normal (but I mean so are their employees so can you blame them HEHE) so I'll probably order semi-sweet next time. Pearls were soft and squishy like I like them, no complaints there. I would not recommend the bagged option if you're drinking the boba and driving. It is still just a bag after all so the grip is horrible. You will literally be squeezing the drink as you are holding it and thus the likelihood for spills is increased like 10 folds, nawwhatimsayin? It's a great take-Home option tho, especially if you want to store it for another day (boba blood bank). The place itself is clean and beautifully decorated (they told me they opened up about two month ago). They also have WiFi if you want to study here as well as board games. I Oolong-er need to drive to Richardson for good boba! Royal I.T. is definitely the best boba place in Dallas, south of 75, where there seems to be a serious lack of decent boba shops. The interior is super cute with a bright, homey feeling. Their tea is pretty good quality and their milk tea does not have the powdery, artificial milk taste. I also appreciate how strong their floral teas tastes. Their sugar levels seem a bit inconsistent though. We ordered a Thai milk tea and Oolong tea, both at 70% sweetness. The Thai milk tea tasted like 85% where as the Oolong tea tasted like 50%...but still pretty good. Definitely recommend if you're in the area! Located near North Park and the Shops at Park Lane, Royal I.T. Cafe offers a various selection of poke bowls and desserts such as boba, rolled ice cream, cakes and macarons. My friend and I went here around lunch time on a weekday and found it to be surprisingly empty. The decor inside though... oh my gosh, I'm in love. Everything's so cutely decorated and they offer plenty of seating from booths to tables to couches and comfy chairs. Not many poke places offer options for vegetarians, so I was pleasantly surprised to find a vegan bowl option on the menu. While you can choose options from the menu for your poke bowl, you can also make your own by selecting all the ingredients and sauces that go into it. The poke bowl itself was really delicious- all the ingredients were really fresh and they gave a good amount of everything. My friend and I also got a lavender milk tea and a rose milk tea in a bag (I thought that was pretty unique. The only other place I've seen a drink in a bag was Taiwan). The cashier suggested the lavender at 30% sugar and it was the perfect sugar level for me as I don't like my drinks super sweet. The lavender taste was light, but definitely still there. We got the rose milk tea at 50% sugar and it was a little too sweet for me, but I did like how strong the rose flavor was and how it even came with some rose inside the drink. We also got some of their macarons (they have a buy 6 get 1 free deal). Their macarons are quite large compared to the traditional size of them and came in interesting flavors like rose lychee and honey lavender. So far, I've only tried the rose lychee, but I didn't like it. The flavor tasted too artificial for my liking. Overall, great flavors and a great place for a casual date or hangout. New boba place in town! I actually remember passing by the sign that said poke ice cream and thinking 'what in the world kind of combo?' I didn't give it a second thought until i saw these cute boba pouch pictures going around local social media and i knew that i had to check it out. Boyfran and i wanted to grab a small bite and drink so we shared a poke bowl and milk green tea in a pouch (500ml). The pouch is considered a small size, compared to their large that's in a cup and 200ml more. The tea was good, suuuuper sweet but the jasmine taste was nice :) the poke was interesting, i felt that some of the add-ons were sized too big but it definitely hit the spot for something light and quick. I love the location, because all the other good boba places are more north (Richardson, Plano, Carrollton). Down to visit again, such a charming interior. My wife and baby and I are huge fans and make weekly trips here. The bubble tea is top-notch, and it's the place we go when we want "the good" bubble tea (as opposed to just whatever's closest). Service is excellent. I'm especially impressed with the food, which really is authentic Thai--they do not hold back on strong ingredients like fish sauce and chili peppers, and I really love that. Portions are perfect, and the quality is comparable to or even better than a more formal, sit-down restaurant. Papaya salad and Tom zaap chicken soup are a couple of my favorites. It's great that there is such great variety for whatever you may be craving, but it does seem overwhelming and all over the place. We ordered hot taro black tea, basil fried chicken, and egg waffle. Unfortunately the service wasn't the best and was super slow. First, we were given our drinks iced, so we had to ask to have them changed to hot. The fried chicken took a while to come out and when it finally did, it was no longer warm. What's up with that? The taro tea wasn't the best I've ever had. But the egg waffle was good and the overall flavor of the basil fried chicken was on point (just wish it was warm). Didn't try the other items but went for the lavender milk tea and sampled the lychee green tea. Probably should ask for sugar reduction since both drinks were overly sweetened. The bag itself is a gimmick - good concept but execution was not there. You would think that you can drink it similar like a Capri Sun where there's a hole at the top, but you actually have to open the bag at the top then drink it from there. This place was okay overall.
