It's right off Meadow & 75, one of the busiest, most chaotic corners in Dallas, but the second you walk in, everything slows down. Minki (the owner) is almost always here, and she's one of those people who remembers you, smiles at you, and actually cares. You can feel it. It makes the whole place feel familiar in the best way. I ordered the Tom Kha with jasmine rice and some hot tea, and it hit every spot I needed. The broth is rich but not heavy, the little pops of tomato give it brightness, and the chicken is tender. It's one of those meals that genuinely makes you feel better -- warm, nourished, and reset. The restaurant itself is simple but cozy. Soft lighting, quiet tables, little touches of Thai décor. You wouldn't expect this level of calm from a spot that's basically sitting on top of a highway entrance, but that's what makes it a true hidden gem. We ordered to-go and got the Pad Prik Khing with chicken. The chicken tasted like it had been pounded into oblivion, coated in tons of batter, cooked and been sitting for a long time. The padkee mao was good and had more curry flavor than the fried rice which was very oily and salty, had no curry taste and the portion size was very small too. I'v eaten here twice and it's my new favorite Thai spot. The Thai Boat Noodle Soup is delicious! It reminds me of a more flavorful pho. They also have pho if that's the flavor profile you're looking for. My second visit was to pick up their basil chicken with fried rice . It has minced chicken, shrimp and broccoli. It's delicious while also a little less heavy than some other dishes. The fried rice has that nice flavor that is unique to Thai fried rice. The rice was a little salty though, so it helps to mix in some of the basil chicken. As an appetizer I ordered the fried shrimp rolls twice! They have nice big pieces of shrimp in there; it's yummy with a nice crunch on the outside. I'm looking forward to going back and trying the beef jerky. read more

Oh my word. My wife and I just had our third baby and during our stay at Presby were craving some Thai food. Bangkok Dee did not disappoint! After browsing their extensive options for a while we leaned on the mercy of past yelpers and got: Red Curry Duck Pineapple Fried Rice Curry Puffs BKK Dumplings Mango Fried Rice The red curry duck pushes me past my limits of being able to describe food. Total balance, total harmony. Umami all over the place. The red curry ("hot" level) is such a velvety, unctuous backdrop to the insanely delicious fried, crispy duck, and the rice they gives you is the perfect pillow for the duck that helps you soak up phenomenal curry with every bite. Look, we ate this food in the hospital and it was still hot and fresh and as good as it would have been had we eaten it there. They even put the duck in a separate container, wrapped in foil, with a hole in the container to keep the duck from steaming. This curry dish is lights out. One of the best things I've eaten in a long, long time. The curry puffs were also very, very good and they pair so nicely with the light, sweet dipping sauce. These made me a happy camper. For what it's worth my wife loved her pineapple fried rice and we enjoyed the BKK Dumplings; for me, the red curry duck and the curry puffs were just the star of the show. As for the Mango fried rice dessert? I haven't had it yet! It's their own damn fault that their food was so freakin' delicious that I: 1. Devoured it so quickly that I need a nap before I attempt the mango fried rice 2. Loved it so much that I had to immediately yelp about it. I love this place!! I came here with my girlfriend on multiple occasions but most I only have pictures from my most recent visit. The waitstaff is friendly and the service is fairly fast here for a sit-down restaurant. The interior decorations are nice and fairly traditional which I like. Most of the times I've come here I used the Groupon deal that happens every once in a while and it has awesome value! The pad see ew is great here, and always packed with flavor. Even though my picture doesn't show it well, the noodles have that good slightly charred flavor that you want coming from your wok. The red curry duck is so delicious! The duck is lightly fried and stays crispy even though it's in the curry. The curry itself is a little sweet especially with the pineapples but I actually like that a lot. I also love the crispy basil that they put on top. I ordered the pad Thai a couple of times and it was good but I personally thought the pad see ew was better. If I was craving a more sweet noodle dish I'd order pad Thai though. If you can handle spice then I recommend asking your waiter to had some sort of a spice level to your dish.
