Cute little colorful spot in downtown! We ordered online to pick up and it was seamless. I had the Pandan latte which was a great combination between the Vietnamese coffee flavor and the Pandan. The Cedars Saigon drink is similar where it's Pandan, but it's a foam on top with coconut flavor as well so the drink looks more green. The barista was really nice and held out the ice for the drink so it wouldn't melt by the time we got there. There's board games and books as well and the place is surrounded by cool art. Highly recommend to go visit when you have the time!

This café is amazing! We love the ambiance here, calling for you to take a moment and collect yourself... before indulging in coffees that really pack a punch! Cedars Saigon was so good that I'd have a hard time switching to another to try. We also got the weekend special of the Fried egg banh mi, which totally hit the spot for my craving as a pregnant woman trying to avoid deli meats. Thank you so much for holding this incredible space!!

Have you ever gone somewhere and felt at home? I don't mean that the place smelled like your grandparents' house or that they made a dish that your parents made growing up; I mean a place where you are so warmly welcomed as if you live there, where you are so comfortable having conversation and relaxing, and where you want to come back again and again? THAT'S CHIMLANH! To preface, I had NEVER been to Chimlanh (or Sandwich Hag) prior to this experience, yet everyone was so friendly that I felt like a regular! I was given warm greetings, a menu overview, recommendations, and a full experience when they served my order. All of their drinks are crafted with intentionality and attention to detail that is unmatched! I would consider myself a local coffee connoisseur and can promise there is no coffee like this in the DFW. I ordered the Cedar Sáigón (December Special) & the Cà Phê Trứng. The Cedar Sáigón is a creamy and rich iced Cà Phê with a refreshing coconut & pandan cold foam while the Cedar Sáigón is a hot Cà Phê with and egg cream that gives the drink texture and carries the flavor notes well. In addition the the general dining experience, they also are a great community contributor. At the restaurant, they offer games and books with a focus on Asian authors (like I mentioned earlier, intentionality is so notable here which I love!). They also serve meals to the VA weekly so truly an involved establishment for the Dallas community! I will definitely need to come back to try some of their food offering and recommend this highly to anyone looking for a new go-to coffee spot! P.S. when you GPS there, the entrance is in the back of the parking lot. From the front, I thought I was in the wrong place or that it had closed; however, was glad to see I just had to drive in a little further!

First of all, I'm irritated that I didn't know this place was right down the street from my house this whole time. Let's start there. Now for the review! I stumbled upon Chimlanh by doing a quick google search for coffee. I didn't want STARBUCKS. I wanted some local flavor. I was actually looking for another place I wanted to try that I couldn't remember the name for, but Google listed Chimlanh, with a picture of something curry related, and I really should have been pulled over by Dallas PD at this point, I broke my NECK to get there. The menu is short and sweet, which is my preference, because if you give me too many choices, I'll be there all day over analyzing. I was greeted by a cool chick with glasses, who asked me if I wanted suggestions, but I saw curry and knew that was it! I opted for the Da Lat Frappuccino and the Chicken curry soup, and it came with a loaf of French bread to dip in it (ugh, so cozy in this cold weather!). The service was pretty quick, I was only there shy of ten minutes, so while I waited I enjoyed the warmth of the patio and beautiful mural in the parking lot. I couldn't wait until I got home to crack this food open! The curry is viscous and creamy just like I love, not runny! The curry was full of flavor and rich. The Frappuccino is also very rich and a little thicker than your average frappe, and deep! It was so delicious, I cannot wait to try more of what they offer!

I adore places like this. Owned by Chef Reye Duong, who owned the best banh mi shop in Dallas. Sandwich Hag. She makes the most bold and unique coffee that transports you outside of the chaotic Dallas city vibe. The place as far as looks goes, shows out. The colors are pleasing and well kept. Beautiful homages to personal family and viet culture. Got the Ceder Saigon (pandan Viet coffee) so good. The sweet of the Pandan wasn't overbearing and very pleasant with the dark bold flavor of well roasted viet coffee. With that refreshing and awakening beverage, I enjoyed a banh mi bagel. The pickled radish and carrot with the honey ham and the flavors of an everything bagel were a party in my mouth. This bagel is the coolest and most unique combo of flavors. It's not dry. Not heavy, but refreshing and satisfying. The chef acknowledged me and made me feel so welcomed to the shop as well. Got the rainbow bagel that is so vibrant but also extremely flavorful. With the Honey Agave Schmear and the Almond Schmear. It's a 10/10 experience for a sweeter bagel lover. So pleased I finally made time to go to this shop and enjoy such a high quality breakfast. GO HERE! This is a MUST GO! Also love their Banh mi sandwich. My soul was revived when I got a bite. The perfect blend of homemade goodness. It's like being in a viet home. Being served so elegantly and with amazing flavors that are so unique and fulfilling and still light. If the bank account permitted, definitely a spot I'd spend all day and enjoy the quality food and beverage.

This place is phenomenal. The iced Hà Noì Pandan and Iced Coco-Viet Mocha Egg Coffee were delicious. We weren't sure we found the right place until we pulled in and parked. Great, friendly service. This is a must try.

Was in search of a local spot to have a refreshing drink from being outside. Found this cute spot that was a bit confusing finding. The service was great and friendly. Pretty drinks so I was expecting bold fruit flavor. I ordered a mango lemonade and strawberry hibiscus lemonade. For both drinks I could not taste the actual fruit or lemonade. Both drinks had their own unique flavors. Not sure if good or bad since the drinks didn't taste like the actual fruit described.

    Pandan Coconut Coffee

I originally came here to try the coffee which was chefs kiss. The chefs special was delicious I believe it was ca ri ga

    Outdoor seating

Not a lot of Vietnamese coffee around the area, nice to see more representation. A little confusing to get to the area, it's tucked behind a sando shop. Service was great, friendly staff and very informative. Eager to help. Egg coffee came out lukewarm, would've liked it to be hotter, but the flavor was good.

Really cute and cozy, tiny space so just know it will likely feel loud…read more Lychee martini and carajillo were really really good Ravioli was delicious Stuffed leeks were awesome Garlic noodles were overhyped, too garlicky for me. BUT our waiter recommended pouring the sauce from the stuffed leeks in the noodles, and that made them amazing. Don't get the duck- it was severely overcooked, tough, didn't want to eat it. The carrots were really good, it's a small serving The chocolate cake was the best cake I've ever had. For a restaurant at this level of hype and price, customer service is a key component. When we walked in, our waiter welcomed us quickly, he took time to talk through the menu, give his suggestions, and I thought we were going to have that special experience. We rarely saw him again the rest of the night. Random very nice people would bring us our items and let us ask for another drink, but our waiter seemed to be actively avoiding looking our way, wasn't the one to check us out, or say thanks and goodbye. It was just odd, I think maybe he was overworked. A relationship with the waiter is a nice thread to tie a dinner into a real experience from start to finish, just a thought. We'd definitely go back and try different things

Easily one of, if not my new favorite restaurant in Dallas…read more We celebrated my birthday here a few weeks ago and could not have had a better experience. We were seated at the bar, where a branded 'Happy Birthday' sign waited. From there, the bartender, Gabe, gave us a full rundown of the menu and offered suggestions for us. He could not have been more helpful or knowledgeable about each dish. He truly made the night feel special and even sent out two appetizers so that we got to try the dishes that he liked. Also, when we got were finishing up our meal and ordered the chocolate cake, there was a candle in it and he took our picture with a Polaroid camera to help commemorate the occasion. A small gesture that went a long way. The first dish that we got was the Kimchi and Gruyère rice fritters, which were one of the dishes that Gabe sent out and a great start to the night. From there, we ordered the stuffed leeks and the dauphine ravioli, both of which were fantastic and the highlights of the meal. Both must-order dishes. We opted for the branzino as our entree, and Gabe sent out a side of rice which paired with the fish perfectly. The only surprising miss for our meal was the garlic noodles, just felt a bit one dimensional. The chocolate cake was fantastic and a great way to end the meal. Overall will absolutely be back; we have talked a few times about what we will order the next time we visit.
