I needed to replace the landscaping in the rear of my home due to destruction caused by my previous landscape company. Needless to say, I was nervous and didn't know how to start. One phone call to Moon Nursery, immediately put me at ease. I initially spoke with Sal Enriquez. He is amazing!!! He came to my property, took photos and created a design that is beautiful. I went to the nursery on Charleston and Sal showed me all the trees and plants that he selected. I loved every one of them and changed nothing. I booked the job immediately that day. In addition to Sal, I met with Ryan Roberts a manager in the office who put all the paperwork together and scheduled a day for the installation. I was so at ease with the proactive attitude of both of these men, I was comfortable leaving my home for an appointment on the morning of the installation. Sal arrived with the crew which was led by Anthony. When I returned home Sal and Anthony showed me all of the plants and trees which were now lined up ready to be planted. They protected my pool deck and took great care with my rear wall and fence line. This job was approximately 9 hours long in 114 degree temperature. All of the men on this crew worked really hard and didn't stop. The end result was amazing. The transformation was better then I expected. I will never go to any other nursery but Moon Nursery. I live in Summerlin and the nursery is not close to my home. I urge anyone reading this review to visit this nursery and speak with the people working there. They are professional and very knowledgeable. The owner of this nursery, Les should be complimented as well. He certainly runs a real professional operation. I reached out about renting palm trees for an October fundraiser, not knowing the first thing about what would work for our space. Within 10 minutes of our first inquiry call, she was already sending photos of inventory from all across their nursery. The next day? More photos from different angles, showing the actual size and scale of each tree. This woman understands that seeing is believing when you're planning an event. She explained why certain palms would work better than others for our venue, got her manager involved same-day for delivery pricing, and had our quote ready faster than any vendor I've worked with. Most take days just to respond to an email. What got me was how she actually took time to educate me about the different palm varieties. As a designer, I know aesthetics, but her knowledge about which trees would work best for the different areas of our event based on their characteristics was genuinely helpful. These insider details really matter. I literally texted her that she's one of the best vendor reps we've EVER worked with. In this business, I usually spend half my time chasing people for basic info. With Lacey, everything just flowed. No stress, no delays, no confusion. I dropped in at the Moon Valley Nurseries Garden Center in Irvine and was immediately attended to by Lacey who assigned a charming young man to drive me (the grounds are extensive) to look at 15 foot Chinese Elm trees. I made my selection from among dozens of beautiful specimens. (The tree I really wanted had been "spoken for" but my second choice was also gorgeous.) Returning to the office I again ran into Lacey who informed me that the potential buyer of the first tree I selected, had changed their mind so my original choice became the one I got. My lucky day! In the office I was assisted by Joe who was most helpful. A couple weeks later (my delay, not Moon's) my beautiful tree was delivered by Planting Manager - Mike, and his amazing crew Wilfredo, Cruz and Emerson. What an incredible group of courteous, efficient, capable, cheerful, willing, hard-working and and incredibly strong men. (Its beyond me how only four men could move such a massive tree which must have weighed around 1,500 pounds if not more. I honestly thought that another crew with equipment would arrive at any moment. None came.) I was and still am so impressed. They are an asset to Moon Valley, Irvine, which reflects the quality of staff Supervisor Shay Taylor selects to staff his operation. One of our sons dropped by to see the planting of my tree and was so impressed he is going to order two trees from Moon Valley for his landscaping project. This was for me - a very precise and exacting Virgo - a very pleasant experience and I recommend Moon Valley Nursery when you want to have a professional planting undertaken at your property. First-time customer here . Brought my young family along -- goal was to grab a couple Star Jasmines for a home project. We were super impressed with the store, but, honestly felt a little overwhelmed with all the options and services. It turned out to be a total blessing in disguise that Rusty greeted us at the shack with a huge smile . He immediately bonded with my 4-year-old son, and my 2-year-old daughter was smitten with his fun, outgoing personality . Rusty took the time to look at photos of my project, really listened to what we were trying to do, and guided us on exactly what we needed to buy. He even explained how to plant, the materials required, when to prune, and gave tips that made the whole experience effortless. We ended up with 5 beautiful (and much larger) Star Jasmines -- exactly what we needed to accomplish our goals . What really stuck with me is that Rusty genuinely loves his job -- you can tell he actually cares about you as a customer, not just about making a sale. I never felt rushed or upsold. In fact, I spent more than I planned, but less than I expected... if that makes sense . Wife is very happy. Truth is, I had no idea what I needed, but my wife and I knew what we wanted. Rusty took all the guesswork out of it, saved us time and money, and left us excited to come back soon to buy more plants. Huge shoutout to Rusty and to Moon Valley Nurseries . Wow!!! I was so excited about how much Moon Valley Nurseries Garden Center had to offer. My husband and I had gone to two other nurseries and I did not care for their trees and their choices were limited. Going to Moon Valley Nurseries Garden Center was like going to a candy store. They had so many trees you could choose from. Zach Drew customer service skill is excellent. We needed a tree that meets HOA requirements and he took us right to that section. He explained the details of each tree that we looked at. He stepped away for a moment to give us a chance to look at the trees again, so we could decide which one we wanted. Each tree had a detailed picture and description of the tree and how it would look in the spring and fall. Zach found us and asked if we had chosen a tree. I did with a big smile on my face. This is how great they are they deliver and plant the trees for you and give you instructions on how to care for them. They also offer a warranty so that if something happens to the tree in the first year you can select another tree at no charge and they will deliver and plant it at no charge. I named my tree Jewels. Moon Valley Nurseries Garden Center is the only place I will go now for whatever plant I need. Their place is beautiful. Also, Eugene Vega called me to do a follow-up to see how my tree was doing and asked me if I had any questions. I did have some questions and he answered them. First of all,this is my first comment on Yelp,just wanna share that my best experience at moon valley.i heard its pricy before I go ,but the price is totally worth it as I can see now. I had nothing to complain with their service and perfection work.Im so glad my first nursery shopping was chosen on moon valley.I know nothing about the tree,the first reason I went there,was because I need ficus blocked my neighbors window,I heard they got the best ficus sharp in town.Tom and his team had provided the most profession planting service and kindness care of tree.but during the high heat,unfortunately one of my ficus had dead,(in total I bought 8).in less one week,they literally just gave me a new ficus instead.that was so amazing. Basically their 3 months warranty is very reliable.strongly recommend to new nursery buyer to looking for Tom and his team for consultations and planting.they do the best design as well,it's not bad heard their profession ideas before you decide anything. Like my experience,trees are not regularly market product,it needs delicate first plant and care,can't do it without professional people.Repeat : the money is so worth in moon valley ! I just completed two projects at my home using Moon Valley in Irvine. Nick was my sales consultant and he drove us around the large compound in a jeep to show us the trees and shrubs he thought might best meet our needs for privacy and noise reduction. After we made our purchase, the delivery and installation team was scheduled to come out and plant the trees and shrubs. It's easy to forget that flat out hard work it takes to dig deep holes (without damaging existing sprinkler and lighting infrastructure) properly prepare and plant huge trees for successful growth, in a variety of sun and soil conditions. And often you worry about things getting lost in translation. No worries. Brad and his install team were thorough, conscientious, and hard working throughout the process, despite the heat and difficulty of site access. Was everything perfect first time out? No. Some of the trees ordered were similar but not exactly what I had ordered. Brad caught it, I'm not sure I would have, and he and the crew were back the next morning to finish the job with the proper trees. Moreover, delays (on my end) were met with understanding and flexibility in holding the product until I was ready for the delivery, with no extra charges. Today August 11, 2021 a Camphor Tree was place in my front yard that I purchase form Moon Valley Nurseries. Tom, Carmelo, Valle, Nazario, and Pedro had the responsibility of planting the tree. Tom was in charge and I must say I have never seen such a professional crew like that in a while. They all had a roll to play and they did it in a highly professional manner. From unloading to planting, from beginning to end they all did their job well. I don't know how long they all been working for Moon Valley but I can honestly say that they are a big plus to the Organization. I am very happy with the tree and it look so lovely in the yard. Because of the outstanding job Tom and the rest of the crew did I would not hesitate to recommend Moon Valley Nurseries to family and friends. Tom and the crew should be call in the office and given a big pat on the back for the outstanding work they all performed here today.
