Easily one of the best veggie burgers I have ever had! I love that this place opened in New Paltz a place so well known for inclusivity. Moonburger has a great array of options for carnivores, herbivores and people with allergies. If you walk in you can use the virtual ordering to customize your order to your liking. The establishment doesn't have too much seating but you do not have to wait long for your food anyway! I loved that all my items were clearly labeled. Also seriously one of the best burgers and shakes I have ever had. Everyone must try this place as soon as you can. You will love it!

The coolest burger place in New York!!! I've been a fan of moonburger since it opened in New Paltz. Whenever I'm in town I have to grab a burger. They have the absolute best branding I've ever seen. They have mastered the retro-scifi style in their marketing and restaurant design which really sets it apart from anything I've seen. Moonburger isn't just a master class in restaurant branding but they also have incredible food. At first they only served plant-based meat tasting shockingly close to the real thing. They now also have real beef as an option to appeal to a wider audience and both are equally as great. They dress and season the burger with a ton of flavors which is just how I like it. Their signature sauce is flavorful and also very thin. They use the perfect amount of it. In addition to the burgers they have amazing milkshakes and really good hot fries. The staff is always super friendly. Most recently I just so happened to be in town on their anniversary and I was randomly given a completely FREE burger just to celebrate. Made my day. I wish more restaurants were this generous and creative. Don't pass this one up!

Really surprised by how good the burgers are. The fries were a bit greasy and too salty but there was only one worker making all the orders. Small spot so def plan to take it to go. Overall, I'd def go back again!

so very glad I stopped in Moonburger today at 5 o'clock before I got on the Thruway to head down to the city. The classic cheeseburger is absolutely delicious surface was perfect, and the price was right. it could absolutely fool your non-vegetarian friends looking forward to when the oat milkshakes are back in stock!

I love Moonburger. The menu is simple and for that reason, perfect. It's great for vegetarians, vegans, and even meat eaters a like! You can barely tell that it's not real meat! I usually order the classic cheeseburger combo which comes with a delicious burger loaded with cheese, pickles, lettuce and their special sauce, fries and a drink. You can also get spicy fries. My tip is to order a side of the cheese sauce. That stuff is seriously so good, I could drink it. I've also ordered the shakes there and they did not disappoint. The staff is also super nice. I even bought a shirt from them I like it there so much!

Love the burger out here. Classic cheeseburger! Simple and delicious. Their seasoned fries were also pretty good. The place is tiny with only 2-3 chairs inside. You can eat in there if there are seats available. It is pretty much a take out place. We would definitely stop by again if we are nearby. Highly recommended!

A simple concept, but a quality product. A start forwards simple menu where the choice is pretty easy, with or without cheese, spicy or normal fries, and three different basic milkshake flavors. It's like very dialed down five guys. The people are very friendly and take down your order fast. My only hang out was there we're supposed to text when order is ready , but they forgot in my case, but hey at least apologized. Never had impossible burger, but I swear it taste like real thing, both mouth feel and taste, plus cooked well done. I like the paper thin sautéed onions in sandwich and whole leaf lettuce then shredded crap lettuce others put on. Do wish they put more of the sauce on the sandwich it did need it since give a lot flavor. Now the fries, we're seasoned spicy , not battered fried spice, different for sure, but at the spice was not overwhelming spicy, a kick and not harder then that. It's a interesting simple concept here if you want a straightforward burger and none of crazy extra.

There is indoor and outdoor seating. All the outdoor tables have umbrellas. Dog friendly. You order and pay inside (tip: know your table number when you go to order). We tried two of their salads (Waldorf, southwest Cobb)... we enjoyed them all... very fresh, good sized. Got both of these on both trips in. The turkey BLT wrap was great! Parking - we parked in a lot behind the restaurant. Most people had to pay the meter but we had a handicap hangtag and the handicap spot was free. Would def recommend!

Boy, are there a lot of post-hike options in New Paltz. I stopped by here this past Saturday…read moreafternoon after an 8.7-mile hike in nearby Minnewaska State Park. The weather had been pretty mediocre throughout the day but that clearly hadn't stopped the tourists from invading the downtown area - the place was teeming with people when I came in around 3pmish. I didn't do a ton of research on potential eating spots (a lot of SE Asian eateries, which seemed kind of random?) but picked Lola's because it was a block or two from where I parked, and I immediately imprinted on the Short Rib Grilled Cheese when I saw it on the online menu. Decision made. Since it was starting to get a little nicer out, I would have liked a spot outside in the front patio. But the girl at the check-in (I feel like there's a much better term for that) asked me to go inside, which for sure was a bias against the fact that I was a solo diner. I get it in theory, but it's not fun to get treated like a second-class citizen because you don't have a posse with you in a tourist trap. Regardless, the interior was fine; looked like it had been redone within the last year or so; what it lacked in personality it made up for in terms of overall spiffiness (and the area where the personality DID come through was in the bathroom area, with tongue-in-check "Whatever" gender signs on the doors and edgy art by the sinks. Tell me you're a college town without telling me you're a college town.). The set-up in here is more casual than I assumed; I was told that my table was #10 (the numbers were clearly marked on each table, reminiscent of Smashburger), and that once I decided what I wanted, I needed to go up to the counter to order. Someone WOULD serve the food, but a big chunk of the experience is DIY. I ordered the aforementioned Short Rib Grilled Cheese w/ Fries, along with a Diet Pepsi, and waited. I thought this was pretty inefficient, as there were plenty of employees nearby who easily could have just taken my order at the table instead of having me sit down, then stand up and walk across the restaurant to order, and then sit back down. The wait was a little longer than I would have guessed, just given the straightforward order and casual, almost fast-food style to the business model; it took close to 20 minutes to get my sandwich, I'd guess. Not egregious, and there WERE a number of other customers on the premises as well. The Grilled Cheese was just okay - I tend to grade on a curve after a hike, but I thought it was really drippy/greasy, and I wasn't crazy about the tomato compote it came with (which is a personal palate preference and something that WAS specifically referenced on the menu and I didn't request its exclusion; easy to remove, regardless). The short ribs aspect was unsurprisingly the best part. The fries were decent; a little pale but cooked through. There was a pickle hidden underneath them that was a little emotionally upsetting but it is what it is. This was fine and could have been worse, but the next time I'm in town I'm going to keep walking down the street and trying one of the many other options nearby. The target demo for this feels a little more 2am college student than hungry hiker in the afternoon.
