If you are visiting or new to town and looking for a organic local market with fresh produce, specialty items then you will like this place. I discovered Moonflower shortly before I was about to depart after my first visit to Moab. This place has a nice selection for the health minded and of course as with specialty markets prices are slightly more than a regular grocery store. But you have to consider the quality that you are getting. I was able to grab some stuff I needed for my road trip back. So happy that I stumbled upon this place... Thank goodness for the beautiful, cool Moonflower Market in Moab. We made a delicious polenta back at the camp site with fresh organic chard. I think we picked up some good avocado too! And to quench our thirst and reimburse our electrolytes, we imbibed with a half gallon of carrot juice! Beautiful produce, beautiful art for sale too! Really friendly and lovely staff. Moab rocks! I was passing through Moab for a few days on my latest cross country adventures and was so lucky to find Moonflower! The people were super friendly, and they had an amazing selection of books right when you walk in. Their produce selection was fresh and tasty, though a bit small, but we were in Southern Utah in February, so I was actually impressed with the selection considering. They also had an amazing selection of loose herbs to buy in tiny increments, or in bulk. But the best thing about this place is around a back corner of the store where barely anyone seems to venture except the overly curious like me...an extremely large lending library full of rows and rows of books on health, nutrition, gardening, etc. The store was great, but that little back room - it was HEAVEN! read more

Every hippie in the city was here with a stray dog they picked up along the way. Which must now include me since I shopped here and thought it was wonderful. They had everything I needed, vegan burritos, and vegan hotdogs. The smell of incense greets you as you come in and you see all the candles and spices before you walk into the rest of the grocery store and find everything else you need. And I swear every man in the store had long hair or dreadlocks. Being from out of town, far far out of town, I did not know how the cash register system worked and I stood at the wrong end of the checkout lane. When I realized my stupid mistake I tried to go to the back of the line but the hippie gentlemen in line insisted that I cut in front of them. I love this little co-op! I shopped here multiple times during my week stay in Moab and had nothing but good experiences every time I went in there! Every employee I encountered was super friendly. The produce section is slightly smaller than other co ops I've been to but they had everything I needed. Plus they have a lot of stuff that is hard to find so for me, I give it an A+. Oh I totally forgot to mention that the prices are very comparable to other co-ops, if not better on a lot of items! Will definitely be shopping here every time I visit Moab! :) read more

A gem of a grocery!! Wish we had a place like this back home. Everything seemed healthy and sustainable -- it made for some excellent no-guilt shopping. The vegan cookies here are the best cookies we have ever had! And they didn't make us feel uncomfortably satiated after! The peanut butter and espresso varieties were our favorite. The California suncakes were nice to have on our long drives. We could give our bodies some nutrition and fiber from a power-packed little cake instead of stopping by a greasy fast food joint. The spicy beef jerky was amazing. We loved it so much we came back for another bag before leaving Moab. Lots of different granola varieties here. The chocolate covered raisins and almonds were tasty. We bought some apples for our trip too. read more

Moonflower is truly a gem. They're a small store but they really do have just about everything, and what they don't have, they are willing to order for you. What I like best about Moonflower is that they take great care to only stock items that meet their natural standard. So there's none of the phony natural stuff. They have just recently updated their bulk section and it's awesome- saves me a ton of money. I also really like that they save boxes for use as bags. It's a great way to recycle and I actually like carrying my stuff home in a box better. One thing I hope they'll get in the future is a better selection of nuts. But overall, feel super lucky to have such a great health food store in our little town. read more

Not sure what the hype is. Yes. It's a natural grocery store/coop but the prices are not coop prices. A to go salad for $8.50?! Got just a few snacks and spent $20 (pretzels and refrigerated drinks for three). read more

I LOVE this place! I'm so glad that Moab has this. They have a small but nice deli section, which I really appreciate because other options around town just aren't healthy! Staff has always been incredibly kind, it's also a great spot to connect with others via their bulletin boards. Their local product section is small, but I really enjoy eating seasonally, and of course I love supporting local farmers. Amazing store - small, but they have the perfect selection of whole foods, locally-grown veg, local grass-fed meat, snacks, and general grocery items. I can't say enough how many times we have been walking through much larger stores in bigger towns, and wishing that we were back in little Moonflower in Moab! Low quality, dirty premises, overpriced. Don't count on your fruit or vegetables lasting because they are not refrigerated to proper health standards. The vibe is creepy and not customer friendly. They also advertise that they are a deli, but in the few seconds I could stand to actually be inside of this dump I saw no kitchen, no counter and no prepared food. If the prepared food had been present, I would not have purchased it. This is a business crying out for a competitor. That this place exists at all shows how run down Moab is in general. read more

This is a fabulous little market. They have a great variety of high quality natural and organic products, despite the small space. We were able to find almost everything we would normally buy at our local Whole Foods. The only thing that they didn't have was bacon and a large selection of meats, and no unfrozen meat or fish, but it was all grass fed beef. The NY Strips we got were really tasty. Moonflower isn't just a grocery store, it's a family! I go to Moab on weekends from my home in Colorado and my first stop is always Moonflower. They offer organic EVERYTHING! We grab delicious, healthy meals on the fly and they also helped me cater several campout dinners because I was too busy climbing , biking, kayaking and hiking to cook. Two thumbs up! read more

Unbelievable for gluten free- vegan options. Wide variety, and especially great pre-made gluten free options which are good to take on a hike. Staff is very friendly and helpful. More expensive than a normal grocery store, but you are paying a reasonable price for the high quality that you are getting. read more
