This is a brewing company with lots of beer but I have to confess I only had a small one at lunch. I'm not a beer aficionado. When you come in and walk through the place out to the back there's an awesome covered place to sit outside with high ceilings and picnic tables. There's a food truck there - I don't know if it's the one that's always there but they serve hamburgers, fried and chicken strips & it's pretty good. This is not a cheap place but it's a good place where they have live music on Friday night. I highly recommend! read more

Beer, sports, and a wide variety of spaces in which to drink that beer, I am a fan! I came here with my boyfriend a few months ago and enjoyed watching March Madness and then the Giants game while we sipped on a flight that included some really good choices. There is a large outdoor patio space and several rooms inside to spread out, which is nice since this place was popular on the day we went. There is a front room that had a long table as well as several pub tables with chairs and a tv and we chose that room as it happened to be nearly empty that day and it was nice to have plenty of room. The service was friendly and the line at the bar moved quickly. I was also a fan of the beer can-shaped glasses in the flight. My boyfriend really enjoyed the YOJO but unfortunately, the growler option was not available to take more home so our friends and family could enjoy. The atmosphere here is awesome. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. The interior is beautifully decorated and really has some character to it. I especially love the paintings/drawings (the alpaca one!!). It just makes the brewery feel much more cozy. This is a great spot to hangout with some friends and watch the football game. Great brewery near the Auburn airport. Half a dozen IPAs and maybe 20 other beers on tap. Nice food truck situation - they pull into the covered patio in the back, so no walk outside necessary in bad weather. The missing star is because they have limited cans and merch sales. Places that you have to drive to reach should offer take-out options other than just growler fills. Try them out, you'll love them! read more

2/17/20 Quick Review: Cool spot in what looks like an industrial business area. Inside and outside seating. The outside is covered and a pretty large area with a vendor serving up hotdogs on this particular Monday holiday. The beer menu reflects the current state of Hazy IPAs ruling America or at least in CA for that matter. Over half the menu was Hazy style IPAs. There were also lighter beers (lager, pilsner), West Coast IPAs, a few dark beers (Amber, stout), and one sour. We split a flight and I tried 2 Hazy IPAs: Something Like Mind Control and Green Curtain. Both were new and both were good but the Mind Control was my favorite. Easy drinking and almost has a subtle orange juice taste to it. I also had the Matte Black Stout which was fine but nothing I'd want to purchase over other stout beers I've had. I plan on coming back as I've had other beers from here that I enjoyed but don't remember the names. I would definitely get Somethjng Like Mind Control again tho! Also, if you're looking to drink more beer Knee Deep Brewing is around the corner I'm walking distance. read more

We love coming here to hang out, train our dogs, grab a beer and eat some food. Great patio hang out area, my husband loves the beer selection, and I always enjoy the seltzer's they have, pineapple is my favorite! The staff is always welcoming and has great recommendations if you need help. This last time I tried the Americano, not something I would normally drink, it was amazing and I took some cans home. We love the fact that there are different food trucks parked there each time we go, it's nice to grab a bite to eat while hanging out. Fne craft brews for any palette when in the Auburn area. Moonraker has an extensive menu from ales, IPA ciders, sours, Porter's to Stouts. The menu is extensive and you will stand in line being blinded by the choices just to pick your six flights. This is one of those breweries like many, that don't offer food but have a food truck. Whatever type of beer you fancy, Moonraker will have it and I guarantee you will be going back for another flight just to taste another six of their 30-something beers offered. read more

We came today just for Bella Familia Pizza for lunch. Yum! It's THE best wood fired pizza around. A pleasant surprise for me (haven't been here in awhile) was the hard seltzer. Wow! I had some Berry/Lemon drink. It was DE-licious. Actually, I had 2 with my Gilroy pizza. It paired nicely with the pizza. I highly recommend the combination! Background: I LOVE Moonraker's Juicy Hazy IPA's. I drink tons of different IPA's from so many different breweries. Moonraker is IMO the very best at the Hazy style. If you couldn't tell I am a super huge fan of theirs. I am constantly chasing down their beers at taprooms all over the Sacramento area. My top 10 Hazy IPA's are dominated by them. Now let me get back to the taproom. The tap list was very extensive. You can get flights in 4 or 6 pours @ $2 per. I couldn't get all I wanted in 6 pours. I had to get another 4 to get them all. The seating is very roomy with a decent outside patio. Really liked the layout. Parking is adequate with a private lot, street parking, and additional shared parking. Met a couple of local beer bro's and they hooked me up with a 1/2 and 1/2 concoction that was very delicious. I believe he called it the Nelson Citra Armbar. Beer people are some of the best people !!! I highly recommend coming to this fine establishment. You will find everyone smiling, happy, and just plain friendly. All the beertenders are super cute and very efficient moving the line along. Moonraker is beer done RIGHT Pro Tip : Order delivery from Express Pizza. Amazing world class brewery in Auburn. It is unbelievable how great the beer is here. Tucked away in a small office park near the Ridge Gold Course, and openen on Earth Day 2016, Moonraker has won several awards and has been compared to another OK brewery near Russian River. They have lived up to the hype of "Best brewery in CA" as well as #9 in the world by Rate Beer. One of my favorites was the Holy Hermit, and the Atomic Betty. They have a nice covered patio and there is a food truck there on most weekends. read more

This is my "newest" favorite beer and brewery, located in Auburn, CA. I just wish, I lived closer to the brewery. They've expanded and made some improvements to provide additional seating. Also, they have games for people to play (i.e. Corn Hole, Jinga, etc.) for your enjoyment. Although, this place is kid and pet friendly. I feel this is not good place for children to hanging out while their drink beer. They do offer sodas for sale and water is available too! They don't sell food there, but generally a food truck is there to satisfy your munchie cravings. They have both inside and outside seating (Covered parking lot style) with tables and picnic tables for your comfort. They have a large selection of various types of beers and seasonal or experimental beers offer. They're all very good beers... IPA'S (Single & Double) are my preferences. I'm back here again at Moonraker Brewing for a little longer visit than last time. I wasn't here that long the first time to get a real experience and feel, but we stayed over 2 hrs this time. The weather has cooled to a tolerable temp now, so we sat outdoors under the shade structure. Good thing they have this big shade thing, cause in the summer it'd be way too hot to sit outside. Doggies are welcome here and there's a bunch of them, but all seem to be well behaved, better than the children running amok! They do sell soft drinks behind the bar for those that don't drink beer or need to be the driver. The inside is very nice, despite its industrial location and exterior. Food is available from various food trucks that are scheduled. Different food trucks are rotating thru mid week thru the weekend. The selections vary, from hot dogs and sausages to burgers. See the website for which food truck will be there under the events tab. You are also allowed to bring your own food and have a picnic here, just no outside alcohol, obviously. We parked in the rear scoring a shady parking spot and entered the brewery from the rear, even though the sign says out only, we weren't the only ones. I guess the real entrance is on the side facing the street. The interior is huge and the actual brewery with the big tanks takes up only a small amount of the space. There looks to be private party room as well as a lounge with couches. The main bar area is large and there's indoor seating nearby opening to the big outdoor section. This place can really serve a lot of people all at once. The bar service was fast even with all the people. They have adequate staff pouring beer to keep things moving. There must be over 20 beers on tap, which I find amazing for one craft brewery to have available at once. All the info on each beer is posted on the menu behind the bar, including ABV%, style and taste characteristics. Tasting flights are poured in 4, 6 and 8 tasting sets for $8, $12 and $16 respectively. ABV% go from 4.5 to a strong 10.5%. On the stronger beers, they pour only 10 oz glasses as opposed to full pints for the rest ..... don't wanna get people too drunk! Canned beer releases are sold here too. You can fill your growler as well. We started with a 6 flight tasting set of Seahorses Foreva, The Galaxy, Benevolent Overlord (10.5%!), Vagrant Gypsy, The Galaxy Double, and Mt. Dankmore IPA. The Seahorse was a sour style beer and my least fave. My fave was the Benevolent Overlord, of course that was the strongest beer! You are limited to two 10 oz glasses per person with this one! I hit the limit! There was no way we could taste all 20 beers on tap here! The beer here at Moonraker Brewing has won awards and was rated 9th best new brewery worldwide out of 9500 different candidates. That's pretty good for a new local brewery in our area! I'll return here again and next time bring a picnic lunch and spend some time here. read more
