Great place for a nice breakfast and take home sourdough bread, cookies and cakes for later. The service and staff were wonderful. The restaurant was so cozy and you can have your meal in the beautiful plaza. We will definitely be back. Lots of great parking nearby.

Visited for an afternoon snack after hiking at Purisima Creek with friend. Purchased at counter then sit in the back to relax and unwind. There were lots of baked goods to choose from. These are what I ordered. Huge cup of coffee Hungarian cheese cake has top half cheesecake, some fruits then shortbread. It was Okay. Hazelnut Rings - shortbread with whole hazelnuts and dark chocolate. This was really good cuz I love nuts and chocolate.

Delicious bakery items and lattes. 4/5 stars because that's what I mainly came for. My husband & I visited on a Saturday morning and the line was out the door but the wait wasn't bad (less than 10 minutes). We ordered danishes, a breakfast sandwich and a coffee. Delicious pastries & the vanilla latte was perfect. The breakfast sandwich was a let down. It was basic and it took 20 minutes to come out. The folx sitting down looked to have yummy food so it may just be the item I ordered. I recommend visiting and supporting especially if you love baked goods!

Well what can I say! Moonside Bakery & Cafe has been around for years. I am 30 years old and I would go to Moonside Bakery since I was a little girl! Half Moon Bay has delicious food options but Moonside Bakery & Cafe by far is my favorite! They have tons of options to choose from! If you are looking for a hardy breakfast or a delicious lunch this is the place to go to! OMG!! Don't forget about the delicious desserts!!! My favorite is the raspberry thumb print cookies and the half moon dark chocolate apricot filled dessert! Wait don't forget your latter paired with the deliciously soft and sweet dessert! Trust me you won't be disappointed! Thank you Moonside Bakery & Cafe for being such a nostalgic place for me and keeping your flavors rich! The service is always great! Kind staff and welcoming ambiance! My family loves it and now my husband does to! I am happy to have been able to share this experience with my husband that I have experienced since I was a little girl! Blessings!

We stayed at the mill rose house and as a perk we got free breakfast for two at this restaurant each day. We ate here twice, both meals were spectacular, outdoor seating on sunny mornings is lovely. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves but if you are looking for breakfast and not interested in a diner this is a great spot right on Main Street.

The ambience is cozy, charming, and totally Instagram-worthy. The desserts are creative and unique, while the in-house whipped cream is absolutely delicious. Coffee is sourced from outside but still enjoyable. Parking is limited to street parking, so plan accordingly.

Located in Downtown Half moon Bay, this is a great local bakery. Shared indoor seating area, excellent selection of cookies, muffins, cakes and desserts. I love their huge blueberry muffins and half moon bay shaped cookies!

I was able to go to this bakery in half one day and get some sweet treats. I got the lemon tart and Edna cookies. The tart was cooked perfectly and had great Keylime flavor. My only suggestion is that I would love the crust to be a little bit thinner and more filling added. The Edna cookies tasted like fall pumpkin spice cookies with a maple glaze on top and raisins and almond stirred in. They do have a lot of options to choose from when it comes to sweet desserts. I also believe that they have a food menu, but didn't happen to check out the food.

At first I was overwhelmed. There was so many goodies and a lot of people ahead of us, but staff was super friendly and helpful and answered questions about certain items I was wanting more information on. In the end we opted for about 5-6 different cookie, pastries, muffin and flatbread for later. All of them were great and came in handy late at night in the hotel room when we were craving something sweet.

I gotta try something from most bakeries I pass. I ordered this pastry that I had never seen before - it was a piped shortbread half circle, filled with almond orange jam, and dipped in chocolate. Unique and tasty! The iced tea was fine, not too bitter or too soapy. My friend ordered a cappuccino and a pecan biscotti which tasted very freshly made. Logistics: - indoor and outdoor seating - street parking nearby (check for 2 hour limit signs, apparently they're strict!)

    One word Delicious!!!
